"FOR THE REPUBLIC!" -Republic Army Cheer
The New Republic
With the death of the Emperor came the death of the Empire, but the Imperials didn't quite get that message. So the Alliance to Restore the Republic rebranded itself as the 'New Republic' - they had won, and they wanted everybody to know it. The planets that thrown their all into the Rebel Alliance became the backbone of what would one day form the New Senate - the 'Alliance League'. These Eight Ministers formed the backbone of the fledgling Republic. The League oversaw the continued war effort against the Imperial Remnants, those Moffs that still held the largest portion of the civilized galaxy under their sway. The Ackbar Campaign - named for the late Admiral, who died at the fateful Battle of Endor - culminated in the storming of Coruscant itself, a long and bloody siege. Millions of the planet's inhabitants died in collateral fire, or from Ship Breaks - cataclysmic events where orbiting vessels were brought to ground in balls of fire. Even as the Republic ground assault captured the ruling Moff Council, dozens of Imperial forces dug in around the planet. It would take years to get them all out. With the capture of Coruscant, the New Republic gave birth to the New Senate. Late Emperor Palpantine had long disposed of the old body of governance after the Battle of Yavin. Hundreds of senators had died, executed for alleged or real betrayals of Imperial governance by supporting the Rebels. A new generation of politicians, born of galactic Civil War, were summoned by the Alliance League to form the majority of the New Senate - the Lower Floor. These Senators were made as representitives of each independant planet, with special representation granted to native species upon colonised worlds. Many of them had long lived under the Empire's thumb, and had been liberated only recently by the New Republic fleets. Their numbers would continue to grow, as planets were taken or seceeded from the crumbling Empire.

"The Republic needs to be reborn, through fire." - General Merik Vatelen
The Redeemers:
The Redeemers are led by former Alliance Special Forces Colonel, Merik Vatelen. When it became obvious that the New Republic was placing heavy weight on the words of the New Jedi Order, Colonel Merik and elements of Republic Special Forces defected, going off the grid on the world of Hoth. Many elements of the Alliance Military, veterans all, join him there. They proclaim themselves the Redeemers of the Galaxy, and that a New Republic would only be new if elements of Palpatines New Order were maintained, including the restriction of Force Sensitives. The Redeemers draw to their ranks oppressed members of the Nikto species, swelling their ranks with dissatisfied Republic officers and personnel. The Redeemers see their cause as just, and although they are outnumbered by their former comrades, they are much better organized.

"So much lost..so many years..never again will we allow such an evil to rise." - Jedi Master Jaxus Ke'ra
The New Jedi Order:
The Jedi are led by Grandmaster Jaxus Ke'ra, a Jedi Master who survived the Purge. He decided to begin building his new Order in the ashes of the liberation of Coruscant, to return it to at least some semblance of its former glory. He wished his Order to, perhaps, avoid some of the corruption and arrogance that the old one had been prone to, but to retain that reputation as defenders of democracy and the Republic. Initially headquartered on Coruscant, the New Jedi Order eventually relocated to Tython as they began running out of space. Ke'ra's new Jedi come from all walks of life, whether adult volunteers with Force sensitivity and seeking a better life or child volunteers with the option to leave at any time.

"This Galaxy is MINE!" - The Emperor
The Sith Kingdom:
The Sith Kingdom. The very name stirs shudders in those who know the ancient legends of the galaxy. Dark robed figures wielding red sabers pillaging the galaxy. Thought dead for thousands of years, the Sith made a return with Palpatine and his Apprentice, Vader. It was thought that this was the -final- end of the Sith by those in the know. How wrong they were. The Sith have returned, wielding the ancient weapons and ships of a forgotten age. They lack the manpower of their Imperial counterparts, but one Sith is enough to inspire fear in a squad of soldiers. They are led by Emperor Zald, the former leader of the Dark Prophets who made a pilgrimage to the Dark Temple. Something happened there, and he emerged wielding ancient knowledge and dark powers. The New Emperor tamed Dromund Kaas forcibly, and then conquered Korriban. Korriban is now a training hub for the next generation of Sith, watched over by the Dread Master Cor. The Sith have returned, and perhaps now is their turn to rule the galaxy.

"We will endure." - Warlord Vark
The Imperial Remnant:
The shattered and bleeding remains of a once proud Empire, the Imperial Remnants are led by Warlord Vark. The Moff Council is now an organization of ten sitting members, all closely watched by Vark for any trace of disloyalty. They have access to the Stormtrooper Legions, and powerful Star Destroyers that still inspire fear. Though the Empire is shattered, even broken glass can still cut. The Star Destroyers of the New Order are still a common sight in certain regions of the Galaxy, and many of the more human centered planets reject the New Republics overtures, choosing loyalty to the Empire, and the security provided by it over the New Republics chaotic freedom. Though negotiations with the New Republic for a ceasefire were underway, all that changed with the disastrous Yavin Incident.

"Let them underestimate us, let them believe we are unstable and corrupt, for their time is almost at an end." - Nasrii the Hutt
The Hutt Cartel:
The Hutts laughed as the Empire fell, and the Rebellion took losses at the battle of Endor. They knew their time had come to expand their influence. This expansion however was mired in a troubling time for the Hutts. With the death of Jabba the Hutt in the months before Endor, many of the Hutt clans clambered over the remains, and Hutt Space was plunged into chaos. The Hutt Civil war raged, and there were more than fifty power transfers during the time. Many former Hutts who had held power for hundreds of years, were left to rot in empty palaces, others went into exile in Bootana Hutta, and the rest continued fighting. Now the fighting has ceased with the rise of Nasrii the Hutt, who brought peace to Hutt Space through the use of a new droid army. Now Nasrii sits at the head of the cartel, maintaining their empire, and spreading Hutt influence. In recent years, Hutt Space has swelled out into the surrounding areas in the galaxy reaching all the way out into Wild Space.

"You can't kill the Mandalorians" - Mand'alor The Resurgent
The Mandalorians:
The proud people of Mandalore are scattered, their civilization in decline. Death Watch has seized control of Mandalore, their leader Viz Sela proclaimed Mand'alor. She has absorbed many of the clans that believe in a return to their traditional roots as an army of raiders, and already skirmishes between them and the Imperial Remnants and New Republic have broken out. Those who reject Death Watch, and believe in the code set out by the True Mandalorians have ignored Mand'alors summons, travelling the galaxy as mercenaries. The Mandalorians find themselves facing enemies on all fronts, themselves, and the aruetii who border their space.

"The Force is just another Weapon, use it like a Mandalorian." - Mandalorian Knight Iev Zeten
The Concord Dawn Enclave
Founded by Jedi Knights fleeing the Empire during Order 66, these Jedi found shelter on the Mandalorian influenced world of Concord Dawn. They established a secret Enclave, known to very few outsiders. To blend in with their new environment, the Jedi who established it adopted the Mandalorian code of life as their own. Nearly fifty years later, and the Enclave has grown considerably as an orphanage. The force-sensitive Orphans are trained to use their gift, and while they are uncommon, Lightsabers can be found among the arsenal of this strange, strange Enclave.

Minor Factions:
"There must be something better than this..." - Centran Native
The Centrality
Though it had regretted the moment the Empire darkened it's doors, the Centrality flourished under the reign of the Empire. However after the death of The Emperor, Darth Vader and the full retreat of the Imperial forces, it was left to it's own devices. With an aging military and an economic collapse, The Centrality has become infested with pirates. With the Centrality Navy buckling under the preasure from the pirate groups, colonists have had to take up arms to defend themselves.
"A new secure future awaits." - Alath Agneta, representative of the Sector Tourism Board
Corporate Sector Authority
Neutral as ever, the CSA have taken it upon themselves to secure their boarders and expand their corporate reach. Their rules are strong, and their punishments severe. No one can deny the authority and security the CSA provides it's people. It's civilians are monitored and political dissidents vanish, hauled off to a secret prison. Business however is booming, and though relations between the CSA and the Hutt Cartel are strained, they have reopened trade negotiations and now Levy Droids can be seen in certain areas. Trade between the CSA and the Imperial Remnant as well as the New Republic is at an all time high as well, though neither side has been favoured.
