Eh, recently finished my finals, so now I find myself with enough time to actually write, hence why I started checking back here. It's a shame things have kinda 'gone to the dawgs' (Aye? Aye?) in the time I was gone, but if we can get the site cleaned up, even with just a small few people, I'd be all for getting something going again. Gawd knows (Hue hue hue) I missed.

Could you give me a description of the environment we're currently in? I'm having a difficult time imagining it.

(As requested I will be writing from the character’s perspective when she is fairly new to the hunt, rather than when she begins to grow weary of it.)
Even while Maria sat in the warmth and apparent safety of the small fire before her, her heat pounded in her chest. Each thud and pulse caused her fingers and toes to tingle, and it seemed all she could do to calm herself was breath. Long slow breaths. They weren’t helping, the adrenaline rushing through her system kept her on edge. She couldn’t relax; she was too busy thinking about the shadows and the fog, and the monsters that lie within. However she was not afraid, she knew that she was not. No, this was excitement.
For years Maria could only dream that something like this existed, but here it was. She still wasn’t sure whether or not she was dreaming, but that didn’t matter, she didn’t care. She’d lost track of exactly how long she’d been here, maybe a few days? A week? There was no real way distinguish the flow of time here. The sun and moon never appeared, nor the stars. All was lost in the fog. This strange place felt so surreal, but just real enough that she just didn’t know. The only way she figured she could find out more was if she kept going out into that fog. Kept playing the game.
That’s what Maria had thought it as. Some sort of game. She knew she wasn’t alone here, she’d seen others also running and hiding from the denizens of the fog. The goal was simple, they had to escape without getting caught by those monstrous creatures. She’d seen others working together, but she herself had stayed by her lonesome. Bigger groups seemed to attract their hunters. Whenever she forayed out into the fog she’d end up somewhere. The actual locations varied, but they bore some semblances. Gates and generators. The generators powered the gates, which let them escape. Maria had escaped several times, usually by watching the others from a distance and waiting until the gates were open. They always led back to this camp with the small fire, some sort of resting place. She’d been caught once, but her memory was hazy. She remembered stepping in the bear trap, watching as the hulking figure of something not quite human rushed towards her, the pain and the fear. After that, nothing. She couldn’t remember. Maybe it was shock? Or maybe something in this game was stopping her from remembering. Regardless, she knew one thing. She wasn’t dead. She wasn’t even injured. Whatever had happened, she was fine now, and that was all she needed to know. With one last deep breath, she stood from the little camp and began to walk back into the shadows.
Eventually the fog grew so thick that Maria could barely see her own feet, but still she pressed onward. It soon cleared to reveal immaculate carved stone and hedges. This was unfamiliar, even more so than the places she usually wound up. It felt more…regal, like something out of an old Dracula film. In a low walk she followed alongside one of the stone walls, keeping a constant vigil for anything out of place. People, monsters, gates, anything. But for now all she could see was stone. That just meant she’d have to go further. And so Maria continued, creeping alongside the shadows.

Well, we'll just have to make do then, should probably have a couple of NPCs though, just to give us something more to interact with and something to sacrifice for tension.

Name: Maria Mei Feng Gender: Female Age: 21 Appearance: I imagined her more or less like this, except with black hair.Description: To an outside observer, Maria seemed an ordinary girl living an ordinary life, which she was for the most-part. However from a young age she developed a keen interest in the occult. Stories of the strange and supernatural peaked her curiosity, and the girl would spend hours researching these mysterious happenings online and in books. After she finished highschool, Maria was undecided what she wanted to do with her life, whether it be studying at a university or the pursuit of her passions, and eventually settled on work. Between her job delivering pizzas around the city of New York and other odd-jobs, she was able to save up a tidy sum, and by her nineteenth birthday she was ready to leave home to travel. She spent a year with family in China before returning to the United States, eventually heading in-land in search of mystery. And mystery was what she found, when her love of the occult eventually drew her to the town of Weeks. She disappeared shortly after. When Maria first awoke in The Entity’s domain, she was enthralled. There was a world where her fascinations were more than just fantasy, but reality. It was not to last however, eventually the cold and the running took their toll. The excitement of the escape faded and the horror and pain of being caught became too familiar. Maria has lost track of how long she’s been stuck in The Entity’s realm, weeks? Months? Still, she presses on, pushing herself as far as her legs will take her in hope that one day it will end. One way or another.

Anything special we need for character sheets?

I'd say we try to wait for two more, but nothing hurts starting on characters now. You'll probably have to create a survivor and if possible I'd prefer to use only one, seeing as an RP where you control the majority of the (non-antagonist) characters is quite pointless, but I can probably do two if we get a third and need to fill the gap. I'll definitely create original characters, already have a decent idea for one. Also I feel that it should be mentioned, I think in this particular RP it won't last if there are only the two of us. Regardless of how many people, this is an RP so it won't play out extremely similar to the game, I feel that for the most part it will be stages of player interaction, occasionally interrupted by the antagonist until things start to heat up with character deaths and the progression of their escape. We just need to make sure we pace it right.

Somewhat. I wasn't aware it had any real plot behind it, but I've watched the streams and the Youtube videos. Dark and creepy atmosphere. Several survivors. Monstrous antagonist attempted to sacrifice people to the dark gods. Etc.

So lately I've been getting very invested into Nier: Automata and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Something about badass android with swords appeals to my inner weeb. Anyways, getting back on topic, I thought I might as well chuck this up here to see if anyone would be interested if I were to start something like this. There's a few possibilities for where the plot can go - whether the party decides to stick with YoRHa, defect, or have a conflict where the party is stuck between the two. That is assuming everyone's characters worked for YoRHA, the possibility of resistance or even machine characters opens more potential paths to take. But yeah, you get the idea. So the question remains: Is anyone interested?
If you are interested but don't have time at the moment, or have any ideas, feel free to mention so below.

Alright, I've finally finished up all my assignments so I should have a lot more free time to mess around here with. Any threads I'm currently in can expect me to return to active duty as of now, and I also have an idea for a freeform that I may post sometime within the next few days.
