The year is 1949
The World is At War.
Ten years, ten long years this has been going on.
The Commonwealth stands alone with the Republic of Ireland against the Third Reich which at this point has annexed Italy. Pilots fight desperate air battles in the side, each individual trying to bring this to an end in daring duels over the Channel. Troops dig in in the UK, preparing for the inevitable day when their pilots are no longer enough.
Russia and Japan fight a brutal trench war in the Pacific theater, with both sides relying on sheer manpower to overwhelm the other, and pummeling each other all the while in China as red stars and suns collide in the skies above the beleaguered infantrymen.
The United States is in chaos, the German American Bund, one of the largest American groups and a notably Pro-Nazi organization has gained immense power and influence. American Companies send supplies to both sides in an effort to tip the balance in one way or another. Truman is barely holding on, and people are worried to the point where many fear a new civil war is coming....or worse. A Nazi invasion. These fears do not constrict the American habit of volunteering in foreign airforces however, and Germany, The Commonwealth, the Republic of Ireland, and Russia all have an American Volunteer Squadron of some sort.
In these dark days, many look to their national airforces as a symbol of hope. Brave pilots, jousting in the skies. Most using their propeller based planes, but others in the faster and stranger jet planes that have been sighted in the battles.
The world is at war, and these pilots may just tip the balance.

Right! So this RP is an alternative WW2 RP. Players will be playing Pilots of a nations air force, with this RP focusing mainly on the Anglo-German Conflict. As you may have noticed, this RP is -far- from historically accurate. Infact, it's completely inaccurate aside from weapons and uniforms and a few other things.
For starters, the German-American Bund in real life numbered around 10,000 members, but in this RP it'd be safer to say they number around the millions. Nazi Sympathy is just as high as British Sympathy in the States at this point, and many a fight has broken over it.
A second thing to note, is that jet fighters are actually seeing combat during the war because of the extended time period. However, they are not completely phasing out older planes such as the Spitfire and BF-109. The policy of most of the nations is more 'develop what we know works' rather than 'invent'. To this degree, Atomic Bombs have not been dropped anywhere.....yet.
Now, more info will become available as this idea develops, but for now, please leave any questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, or just say you're interested.
