NOTE: As this is an arena thread, the 3 paragraph rule will not apply here. This is due to a combat post having a high chance of being a simple swing of your weapon. This thread is meant to be fast paced, with only 2-3 posts in between combat.
Darker Than Black is a show about people called "Contractors" who have special abilities, which can range from fire control to telekinesis. Stelpher and I are creating an "Arena" thread for this, I will go more in depth below.
How the Arena works:
I will host a "deathmatch", which I will also be apart of. The goal is to simply fight to the death. The arena is a large city. Be creative, this is more traditional roleplay than anything else so make up the places you go to. You decide on your starting weapon, and I will decide the stats for the weapon. However, NO GUNS ALLOWED FOR STARTING WEAPONS. Each player has 10 health, with the ability to go to a hospital to regain health, which will vary depending on the wounds you have suffered. This will use up one of your posts, so you will not be able to do anything else. You also have 10 dodges. This means that, at any time, you may dodge an attack, however only 10 times before you can't dodge again. Every melee weapon has a 90% chance to hit, every thrown weapon a 30-60% chance depending on the distance, and every gun having a 50-80% chance depending on the distance.
I will also come up with random events, such as a certain player finding a weapon. These will be decided at random times, however will not happen commonly. The recipient of this random event (Although it can happen to more than one person if it's a fight) will be decided by a random name selector. It could also be a hindrance, such as a thug trying to mug you.
Note: Remember, be creative! You can throw your weapons, or your weapons can break to have different effects, or you could even modify them in some way, say putting a nail in a baseball bat. EVERY WEAPON CAN BE MODIFIED IN SOME WAY.
How Contractors work: A Contractor is an individual with some sort of super-power. This could be electricity control fire control, telekinesis, ANYTHING. However, it always comes with a price. This could also range from anything, however I will choose your price. Your price could be aging or getting younger rapidly every time you use your power, having to eat some obscure thing (Such as paper), having to sleep, anything that is a nuisance or that even makes you suffer depending on the quality of your power.
Rules:
1. Fights must happen out of the public eye. The price for breaking rule is DEATH, as you will simply drop dead.
2. Powers must be paid the post AFTER your battle is over. Every now and then, I will skip time slightly, while no-one is fighting, powers will assumed to be paid if this is the case.
3. Powers can be good, however not ridiculous. You can't have a power that just nukes the whole city or kills someone. That said, you can have very helpful powers, such as setting someone on fire. The cost for these are VERY high, and could even be things like self mutilation, causing 1 damage.

NOTE: Your character is fresh off the chopping block, you have only just became a contractor and only know how to fight, how to use your power and how to pay your price (And of course the people you must fight with in order to win the deathmatch).
Name: (your characters full name, nickname, or affiliation based designation)
Gender: (Male, female, Hotbread)
Age: (keep this realistic for your species, you may also include date of birth)
Appearance: (what is your characters physical appearance, other physical characteristics such as height and weight should also go here)
Personality:(how does your character act, do they have character flaws based on this?)
Power: (The power that you posses, be creative. Remember, the better the power, the higher the cost)
Affiliation: (A crime syndicate, yourself, anything. This can change random events slightly, say a few members of your gang coming into a fight to help out, although as per the witness rule they would have to be killed.)
Abillities: (Combat wise, what is your character good at? Hand-to-hand, melee, firearms, etc)
Training: (what specialized training do they have)
Equipment: (what does your character keep on themselves, be it weapons or miscellaneous items)
