Welcome to the Nexus, Cinta! Im Sal, or Thorin, or the Aussie guy that speaks too much. If you look at the Character Creation tab, youll see the topics. Just click on whichever looks appealing, and then go down and look at the Character template. Copy the template down the bottom, and then make a new thread in character submissions. Paste the template in, and fill it out. Also have a read of our rules and guides.
I hope to see you in the sunny lands of Elder Scrolls, the endless expanse of Halo, or the barren wastelands of Fallout.

Hello and welcome to Nexus. I'm Cheddar and I scribble (some people call them drawings) a lot. Need anything or have any concerns, just ask here or in the chat under the Chatango tab to the left of your screen. just in case it isn't in the rules somewhere, two mods must approve your characters before they are eligible for inclusion in a thread. It's just a kind of important thing to make sure you are aware of. Anyway, welcome and enjoy your stay!

Greetings, and welcome to the Nexus, Cinta.
There's plenty of threads and themes to choose from, so I'm sure you'll find something fun. Although I get the feeling your more D&D than Fallout, so I doubt we'll see each-other in character. : p
As Thorin said above, you'll need to look over the rules and then submit a character first. If choosing a Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or Halo theme for your first adventurer, you will find a template for each respective character. ( Fallout characters will need to be posted in the Fallout Character Submission thread, using the Fallout Template for your character. Ect. )
However, if you are simply looking to play freeform or join a D&D-style RP, then your character will need to be submitted in the OOC planning thread for that Role Play. Freeform characters are generally accepted/approved by the thread's creator, where the big three ( Fallout, Halo, and Elder Scrolls ) all have a little tighter guidelines and will be reviewed by one of the Admins/Moderators ( ThreeDawgs, ImmortalUndeath, BadHarry, ZelusGarland, Zensun, GuardsGhost, ect. ) or the Demi-Mods ( Sabesss or Myself. ) ( These same staff members will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Most of the members are pretty helpful, too. )
After you have two official approvals you can join or create a thread. I would advise skimming through the approved characters and current threads for a better idea on how you'll be playing, and who you might be playing with. Easiest way to join a thread is to Personal Message the threads author. Easiest way to make your own thread is to create an OOC planning thread for it in the OOC section to recruit players.
Chedda mentioned the Chatbox, which is your portal to the chaos that is Nexus.
Hope that was helpful, I ramble. : )
