The Violet Sector is an agency with a murky past. The faction was first formed in 2019, by a splinter group of the Enclave (who also received their funding from the Enclave), to contain and secure paranormal beings or objects, to protect society. The "sector" was so named after "Violet", the Psychic 7-year old with the unnerving ability to project a person's worst nightmares into their mind and make them appear to be part of reality via manipulating of the mind. Much like the CIA's early years as the OSS, the Violet Sector wasn't an official agency and was technically illegal, but fully backed by the Enclave. Similarly, it was unpopular and served little purpose in it's early years and only rose to significance in 2040 when more paranormal objects or beings needed to be secured and kept from the public. 2040 was the specific year due to the acquiring of certain statue found in the District of Colombia, in the Dunwich building; a "statue" (although most likely some form of genetically-engineered experiment) that would only move out of direct eyesight, but with extreme speed. It was responsible for the deaths of nine mechanics in the maintenance section of the building once it was found, which was whitewashed by the Enclave.
The agency excelled further in the year of 2068, when the new ZAX A.I. known as Mr. X went online and took direct control of the agency. Although this overshadowed a darker future, the present seemed perfect for anyone employed there. In the year 2077, however, the future was blackened for the darkly ambitious and efficient agency...
The next 70 years were spent in seclusion, in the lower stories of the underground facility. With food being grown underground by the scientists, there was little to worry about... Except the fact that Mr. X was now reigning autocratically with minimal inclusion of the Security Commander. Mr. X's standards were set rigorously high and over 300 of the employees of the Violet Sector were executed for disobedience of under-performance. The remaining employees became incredibly disciplined and rarely made errors, increasing their efficiency as footsoldiers of X. This, along with the "nationalist" fascist policy (including right-wing "nationalist" posters and the logo (A blue 'X' with a circle around it and red arrows pointing inwards into the gaps of the 'X'), the X creating a sense of omniscience and security) and manner of Mr. X's rule further created discipline, uniformity and unity.
The agency was eventually allowed outside the facility, although many of the current employees were the descendants of the former. They were trained killers and disciplined all the while, and managed to secure reports of the area and the factions that inhabit it aside from themselves. The reports left no stone unturned and no detail left out, pleasing the ego-maniacal Mr. X. Attempts to gain more info on the area and was kept up for the next few years, by which time most of the factions in the area were branded enemies of X's grand empire (The Lost Ones due to their non-compliance, and the raiding factions due to their hostility and anarchism).
Eventually, they returned to original objective of retrieving paranormal, potentially lethal and disturbing objects or beings in the new world. This became their objective permanently, and they captured a variety of mutants from the area (regular ones such as Telefrags, and a rare one similar in appearance to an Abomination (from MZ) but with black, shifting skin and an incredibly high rate of regeneration). The Lost Traveler of Vault 66 seemed to be untouchable, but the discovery of "The Watcher" raised X's hopes, and the capture of the Watcher has become the main task for the agency to carry out presently.
