Born into the Enclave as it fled from the NCR. His Mother died in birth and his father was to interested in his work as an Enclave scientist to give Davis much attention. He became the embodiment of the Enclave's ideals. He believed in the Enclave and their ideals of "Purity". He began training as an Enclave soldier as soon as he was old enough.
Davis served under Colonel Augustus Autumn at the Raven Rock installation. He was loyal and capable. He was sent out into the Wastes on multiple Deathclaw Capture and other missions. He was deployed again to defend "Project Purity" from the Brotherhood counterattack. Liberty Prime however broke through any static defense they could form and Davis himself was wounded when Brotherhood laser rifle fire brought the facade of a building down on top of him. He awoke three days later across the river in front of Super Duper Mart.
Davis had been saved. By ghouls. Three ghouls on their way to Underworld had seen the fighting and tried to wait it out in a building. They saw Davis hit by the building and as the fighting moved away the pulled him out of the rubble and carried him across the river. His beliefs were crushed. The impure had saved him and in doing so had proven they were good. They had proved that the Enclave was the monster. They talked him out of accompanying them to Underworld. He thanked them and wandered away from the D.C. ruins.
