I believe those are supposed to be submitted in the creative corner
It's also not terribly short according to the rules which was 800 +

Yeah they're supposed to be submitted in the creative corner Lost,  so just resubmit it there. As for length, It's fine. It's not terribly long, the 800 word "rule" is only a rough guide, you can go a bit over that. |

I just reread the op, and sure enough it said both to post it in the Creative Corner and that the limit is 800 words.
And my Mama told me always to read the directions!
Anyway, sorry about that guys. I'll repost it in the Creative Corner and then see about editing it down some.

I've decided on a topic.
Far future America and assassins
I will post my work to the Creative Corner as soon as it's done. It may take a little while as I don't have a tremendous amount of free time.

Butter, when I said you could go "a bit" over that, I didn't mean go 4 times as long as it. you're gonna need to shorten it down.

To be fair I wrote that with the original rules in mind which said 800 or over...Also that was the short version after taking scenes out...
And I will withdraw my piece from the contest, after looking over it the only stuff I could justify taking out would still only leave me with about 2000 words, everything else is pretty substantially important to the plot, and most of the things that I would be taking out are description, and other flavorful writing stuff, and If I took that out it would just look super uncreative.
I will however leave the story in the creative corner, because I still think its a good one.
