After listening to shot after shot ring out it had become clear to Krampus that he was in a city filled with nut jobs, and there was no amount of whipping or torturing that could be done to change that. Moments went passed, and Krampus grew weary and tired, he looked over the top of his newspaper in time to notice a small house cat leaping from rooftop to rooftop, He gave the feline, that didn't seem to notice him, a queer look, and then sat the newspaper down on his lap to flip the pages, as he set it down, he couldn't help, but notice a small child bye his feet.
The child's approximate size to Krampus made him appear miles away, Krampus' eyebrows formed a 'V' his lips shrunk, and after a moment he spoke thus: "Beat it kid."
He picked the newspaper back up in front of his face, and continued to read on about how much more common house fires were becoming in the city. and then he looked at an add for large Christmas trees, it amazed him how far away Christmas actually was from now, and yet people were still trying to shove it down everyone's throats, when Krampus looked back up he noticed the kid still holding out his hand.
Krampus frowned once more, and then spoke again. "What are you aft-"
Krampus was cut off when he noticed a small can at his feet, he looked back up to the boy, and then smiled "What's this? A can?" Krampus picked up the small piece of a aluminum, and put it just above the boys hand, but at the last second pulled it away.
He looked at the boy for a few more minutes, there was something off about him, he had felt a certain unease about other people before, but never knew why that was, those people would tend to give him strange looks right back.
"Boy! What are you doing out here alone? Are you deaf? Can you not hear gun fire?" Krampus pointed to the building directly behind the child.

One step, two step, three step - Tara counted the stairs as she crept up them, taking the time to only move one foot upon the next step after she had mouthed the words to herself. She heard more gunshots, and someone shout out from further ahead. The battle was tiring those who took part in it, or perhaps they were more worried about the prospect of Johnny Law coming down upon them should they continue making such noise. Unfortunate for them then that this was the case. She gripped her spoon tightly, the air around it seeming to humm and buzz - blurring the edges of the object and making it appear not-quite-there-yet-physical. At the top of the short flight of stairs she came to a door, another door left ajar that couldn't resist creaking under her gentle touch.
She stopped short of gasping when she was met with the sight on the other side of the door. A man and a... Weird Fox thing. She stared at the Fox-Being, which seemed to be stood alert and about as shocked as her, and noticed it still wearing the clothes that marked a woman. So it was a she then, and clearly a Fable. Which meant the male either was some sort of Fable or this incident was about to get a whole deal more complicated and potentially mind-erasey.
She assumed the first, for now. She stepped into the doorway and as she did, the wooden spoon within her hand materialised into a long wooden spear. The head was wood, too - but to any who doubted its sharpness she would gladly show it could break even Troll hide. And had. However, for the two before her the spoon never truly was - for Tara hid the magic of its transformation behind the ajar door.
She rushed to hold the spear point-first to the two. She moved the weapon with surprising agility and speed, something that one wouldn't expect from anyone in a Hoody at this time of night. In truth the woman and spear were far more intune to one another than mere handler and weapon. "I came not to bring peace, but to bring a sword." whispered the woman to the two, a saying she had picked up somewhere from an unassuming Fable - with an air of power around him that made his words stick. She did not know what occured between these two - the Fox-like and the Maybe-Fable, she maintained a whisper as she asked "Are you a part of this battle? Tell me!" although her final words bore a brunt of aggression to them.
Some times bringing the fear of pain made peoples tongues loosen. Even if Fables were well-lived - they all bore the brunt of pain the same.

((This thread is a thing isn't it? Right. Sorry for lateish post, completely fucking forgot because I'm a forgetful prick sometimes.
Evelyn watched the undeniably ragged woman as she stepped towards her, hoping to all Christ that she was a Fable, or she was in an... interesting predicament. She should of closed the goddamn door. Why didn't she close the goddamn door? Dammit. She was relieved in an odd way once there was a spear aimed at her, ready to harm her at a moment's notice. She stepped back a bit automatically, pointing her gun at the woman in self-defense. At the very least, a Mundie wouldn't have a spear, so she could at least be honest.
"Official Fabletown business!" she said, hoping the bastards around the corner wouldn't be aiming their guns in her direction from the noise. "Stay out of this or I *will* have to force you too." She warned, hovering her finger over the trigger, though she wasn't convinced herself that she could stop the woman should she decide that spear had a better place within her chest.
Unfortunately, the moment she had spat the last of her words out, the wall in-front of her lit up with way-to-fucking-many bullets. Evelyn let out a surprised scream, not exactly a fan of bullets pinging next to her, as she was sure most things weren't. She practically jumped towards the spear, making sure not to impale herself on it, not quite caring if the woman wasn't satisfied with her answer. She aimed the peashooter at the corner, ready to fire should anything come around it, even though she somewhat doubted her ability to win any sort of firefight such as that. A satisfying, frustrated groan came from the hallway, bringing some splendid information with it. "Fuckin' piece of shit! Shoulda' brought more fuckin' ammo..."
With this, Evelyn moved forward, peeping around the corner. Sure enough, there was a rather grotty man wielding a shotgun, furiously squeezing the trigger with nothing but a clicking noise in response. Evelyn made a failed attempt to get fully behind the wall without being spotted, the outraged man quickly moving towards her, withdrawing a pocketknife from his coat. Unfortunately for him, in all practically, Evelyn had over ten, if you counted the teeth too. He dashed towards her, speeding around the corner at an alarming rate, but was met with a quick slash across the face, leading to a scream that was anything but charming, a hideous amount of blood beginning to pour forth. Evelyn followed up with a quick jab to the face, digging into his shirt and pulling him towards her, tripping him down onto his bloodied face. She pointed her pistol at him, looking to the hallway every now and then. "Don't move." she told him, before glancing at the spear-wielding woman, having momentarily slipped her mind. Should she decide to be hostile, she wasn't in a great position.
