So Ghost and I have finally finished our years-spanning thread "The Refounding". We're planning on a continuation thread, however, we want to open this one up for other players to join. Below will be a summary of what has happened so far:
The Vigilants of Stendarr's Sanctuary have been hunting down a coven of witches for the last couple decades, and have finally located them within Skyrim’s western mountain range. This coven is led by a Hagraven named Halivid, and has also gathered some Forsworn under their banner, but what makes them truly dangerous is the fact that their leader possesses knowledge of a rare and powerful spell known as the “Hand of Decay”. The Hand of Decay is a spell that ages and then disintegrates its target. My character Mhalla experienced this first hand and has since joined the Vigilants for revenge. The only saving grace is the fact that Halivid is not a master mage and therefore cannot use the spell freely.
This is where Julius Aventer comes in.
Aventer is a descendent from the Knights of the Nine, and his father possessed the Relics of the Crusader and scattered the pieces across Tamriel. One of the pieces, the helm, fell into the coven’s hands and they sought to disenchant it (thereby destroying it) to learn the secrets of its Fortify Magicka enchantment. If Halivid were to wear robes or a piece of jewelry enchanted with Fortify Magicka then she’d be able to cast the Master spell more easily.
The duo tracked the two down, using a more powerful version of the Clairvoyance spell, to the outskirts of Solitude, where, suddenly, the trail vanished (since the one they were tracking was suddenly killed …). Now they are searching for the next lead which would point them to the coven’s hideout.
Nahkriinah.
Meaning “Vengeful Fury” in the Dragon’s Tongue, Nahkriinah is an old Nordic tomb which the coven set up shop in. They have been lucky since it seems the draugur, well known to haunt such burial grounds, are not evident within these ancient ruins. Also, within these ruins is where the coven found the Helm of the Crusader.
Once they discover these ruins, Julius, Mhalla and whoever they’ve gathered will plunge into its depths for the sake of revenge, to recover the helm, and end the threat of Halivid once and for all.
…while also gaining all the riches that had been buried within.
So, who’s up for some loot, plunder and glory?
