"Yeah well your boys looked like they could use the extra firepower." Sera replied to Jos's affirmation of her keeping the salvaged weapons for the time being, figuring out what her intent was. It was a little entertaining to watch Jos effectively twist the mercenary's arm, and she honestly wouldn't have minded seeing the alien get a little rough, unfortunately he was in too much of a rush for that. The Nikto had a lot of fair points however, unfamiliarity with the station was one of the principle reasons Sera had elected to stay put, well until Jos hired her of course. The human didn't have anything to say as far as the problems Lyran station would be dealing with in the weeks to come, fallout from all the drug usage, Sera was hoping to be well out of Hutt Space by then. "Something tells me they might not continue avoiding us after we pick a fight with the Black Suns proper, hope you've got a plan for getting back to the cantina in one piece, assuming we survive this little assault in the first place." Sera would have liked to think that if they kicked the Black Suns in the teeth hard enough, no one would fuck with them afterwards, then again who the hell knew what some of the people on the station would do when they got ridiculous amounts of high-quality spice in their systems, logic and reason could easily take a back seat in those people's minds. Sera was pulled from her thoughts by the Nikto's order to get moving, something she was more than happy to do.
---------
The following hour had Sera a bit nervous, not necessarily because she was expecting trouble, but rather because if trouble happened to find them then it would be a helluva fight in the narrow corridors they were constantly traveling through. While not clausterphobic, the human disliked being in such enclosed spaces for long periods of time, especially when she had to worry about eating a slug or blaster bolt. Fortunately the group finally emerged from the cramped corridors out onto a catwalk overlooking a rather run-down looking community. Actually 'run-down' didn't really do the small town justice, the place was downright squalid. Sera glanced Jos's way as he spoke of how he thought this shanty town was where people ended up if they had nowhere else to go. "You mean that isn't the case?" Sera couldn't imagine someone wanting to stay in a place like this, it made the lower levels of Coruscant look pretty mild by comparison in her own opinion. The lack of activity was a bit disturbing, the place seemed completely deserted, not that she was complaining of course.
Sera was pulled from her thoughts by a sudden shuddering, caused by the nearby elevator coming down. After the elevator doors opened up, a speeder with a cargo hauler shot out and made straight for the more well lit side of the town where the Black Suns had set up their banners. Sure enough, the driver seemed to be expected, and the front gates of the base would open up and allow him passage before closing behind him. "Not exactly but what I've got will work well enough." The human replied to the Nikto's inquiry of macrobinoculars as she flipped up the sight on her EE-3, promptly bringing the weapon up and aiming it at the compound before them, her eye lining up with the scope. Sera would take a minute or two to look over the compound in it's entirety, taking not of the defenses present. Truthfully she was pretty impressed, the place had been turned into a damn fortress and a direct assault would have been suicidal. "The Suns aren't messing around, this place is set up to last."
Shortly thereafter, the main gates to the base opened up once more, the speeder from before zooming out and making for the elevator. It was then that an idea struck her. "I do, but it's risky. For starters we'd need to 'borrow' that guy's speeder and cargo hauler. I'm assuming the container he's hauling is empty, I'd wager most of us could squeeze inside of one with our gear. We wait a little bit before one of us drives it back, right through the front gates, and dumps the crate wherever they are stashing their supplies. We can damage the speeder superficially to stall our driver having to take it back out. Anyways, a couple of us that rode in the crate sneak out and try to find your boy while the others worry about getting the main gates open after you've found him, I've got some demo charges that might help with that part. Once that's done we can use the speeder to make a quick exit." The plan was pretty simple on paper, but it relied on the gang not being found out till after they'd tracked down Jos's worker, the exit could also get pretty messy depending on how many mercenaries were present in the compound. Of course if any of the others had a better idea, Sera was more than happy to hear them out.

Well, there was no question that this merc was about as jumpy as they came, but then again he couldn't rightly blame the guy for being concerned about getting a knife in the back. Still, so long as he did nothing to betray them, Avris had no intent to do anything against him. Right now he had no capacity to leave the station and no desire to make the situation worse by carrying out the mission he was sent here to do, so he would only do what he could for those present. If that meant assisting Jos and this merc, then that was what it meant he'd do. As for Jos' reading of why the looters were ignoring them, he wasn't convinced on it, though his assessment was a distinct possibility; it just didn't read perfectly to him. "Either that or they've got them doing other things and we're just outside of the affected areas," he suggested, not really certain if it was worth going into in-depth speculation about. More important was getting back, but he didn't have much to say. He was fairly certain that making plans was pointless; they'd cross that bridge when they came to it.
Reaching the shanty town was a bit of a frightening thing for Avris. It was just so... familiar. The rusting walls, the cramped quarters, the burning barrels... heck even the stench was a whiff of dark nostalgia bringing back memories of complete and utter squalor, though perhaps not as bad as this hell hole. But that wasn't what scared him, he went to plenty of other places similar enough to this and got through it without any real sense of concern; it was life and life went on after all. No, what bothered him was seeing it so utterly deserted. When he closed his eyes, he pictured his home ghetto desolated after those bounty hunters came in and raided the place, all the people he knew just... gone. Even looking at this place he couldn't help but wonder how many of the people who had once lived here were now lying face first in a puddle of their own blood. It looked as if something had come through and just pushed the people out in the middle of dinner.
Though, looking out into the new makeshift fortress he wondered if they were actually just recruited into the Suns' cause. Sighing, he tilted his head up at the mention of macrobinoculars. Honestly, he had never expected to need something like that in the cramped quarters of a space station--he had good eyesight as it was and the Force further assisted in that... shame he wasn't good enough to have scoped vision out here. Though the Nikto's comment about people having nowhere to go earned a sigh out of him as he leaned on the railing, "It's not so much 'nowhere' as being the safest bet. Sometimes... the other choices don't work out." His eyes were drawn to the man on the speeder, very obviously headed for the fortress, "Kind of impressive considering the time, when you think about it objectively." Already Avris' thoughts were going towards how they could use that guy to their advantage, though right now he was trying to think of a way to circumvent the walls of the fortress rather than the other ideas that came up. He'd have given a kingdom for some blueprints of the place. His thoughts were largely of crawling into the ducts or something and getting in that way, though he wasn't certain if they could fit in there as adults. Jos sure would have trouble at his age if nothing else.
Fortunately, Sera had an idea, and he had to admit that it was a stroke of genius. His eyes darted around constantly as he tried to piece together the plan and figure out whether or not it would all work out, but it certainly looked realistic enough. However, that all said, her exit strategy left something to be desired. It wasn't awful, but he wasn't sure if it was the smartest one ever. "Hrmm... might need someone to make a distraction before you do that last detail, in order to open things up for you and thin out the guards. I have an emergency plan for that sort of thing, but I'd REALLY prefer to avoid it." He could very easily bring every Sun running if he pulled out a lightsaber, but he'd sure prefer to not do that. Looking at the series of barrels, he rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he tried to figure it out. "If we found some grease or oil or something we could make a simple explosive. Just a light show of course, but it'd get some attention. Also, I know it's a little childish, but slipping into vents is always an emergency option." Yeah, may as well drop that in case they found something. It was what he did as a kid, and there was no reason it wouldn't work here. Granted, it was a dangerous thing to do, but he did say 'emergency,' didn't he?

"By the Emperor's Black Heart..." Cyrad let out a small sigh of dread to himself, the shanty town the party had encountered from their position upon the catwalks. It was quite the impressive if not intimidating sight for the man, only once had he ever seen an actual defensive position such as this, though that was back upon Almania, he never really saw any form of major fortresses or impassable outposts in general, it was usually open fields and urban barricades. Arisa besides him by a few paces gave her own glance over the shanty town, shaking her head upon the view before gazing over to the next, more 'alive' section of the space-hamlet. The longcoated mercenary soon leaned upon the railing observing the situation before glancing at the elevator which soon dropped down upon their level, the speeder bolting out of it towards the Sunnies' newfound fortress.
The following commentary then arose to prick at Cyrad's ears. The female Human's plan actually seemed viable, sure it may have been risky and possibly meant getting his arse blown off, but anything to get past this thing's defenses was a good idea at the time, though something did nag at the back of Cyrad's mind. The generator powering this could be powering many other defensive station like this, as well as the small shanty towns scattering the bowels of the station, what in Corellia could the Black Sun possibly be hiding within the depths of the station, or what exactly were they after? The question left Cyrad's mind and soon he looked up as the party gave out its ideas.
Looking down at the Shanty town and back at the female Human, the mercenary finally let out a small smirk to himself before speaking as the Mirilian's voice dropped. "That plan certainly sounds like a fun one, stuffing my body into a cramped space with such lovely people, not saying I don't agree with it though, it seems perfectly viable and like our Green-skin friend here said, he does have some escape plan." Cyrad shrugged to himself and pat his rifle upon his shoulder. "Just in the small case that we do get caught and possibly have to blast our way out of an almost impossible situation, I highly doubt he can really do anything of importance, but it's better than running in without a good escape plan." With that, he rested himself back upon the railing studying the small base's defenses as Arisa sighed behind him, preparing to insert her own input to the situation. "Going along with what the nice woman there said, stuffing ourselves within that crate is a decent option. Prevents ourselves from being blasted and we do get to know each other a bit more right? Anyway, if we were to go along with it, she did say she had some demo charges. If we can put on that little "lightshow" that our Miri-friend mentioned, we should be able to draw the guards away while we...borrow...that speeder on one of its trips out of the base. Simply a thought, but it'd have to be damned well timed." She shrugged alongside Cyrad almost in unison as she set herself back against the railing. Cyrad nodded back towards the group in a matter to resemble they were done with their thoughts, it was now time to wait and hope to the stars that whatever they did, it worked. "

With frustrated puffed out cheeks, the Nikto turned to look at Cyrad. The Emperor’s black heart? Was the boy even old enough to remember the dark times of the Empire? Surely he was just a tale the boy had grown up with. Jos remembered when the Imps ruled the galaxy, even ‘ruling’ parts of Hutt Space to keep the Hutts in line. He remembered wanting to clobber the Stormtroopers when they got aggressive, but knowing he never could. They beat Jos and his fellow Nikto on more than one occasion. Their officers were worse. They were slimy arrogant cowards, who hid behind their empire and twisted the arm Nimmi whenever they wanted. He wondered how Nimmi was doing anyway. Keeping quiet no doubt, having been one of the many Hutts who had fought against Nasrii’s droid army. Jos almost smirked as he realised Nimmi’s clan was probably poorer than ever.
“I don’t think so,” was Jos’s reply to Sera’s question about the slums. “It looks to me like this is where those scumbags looting the place come from.” He casually pointed to the empty boxes scattered about the place, each of them ladened with Black Sun insignias. “I think the looters decided to come here… The suns gathered them here to employ them, they planned all this. How did the statio-oh right of course. Why check the slums for security purposes, they can handle themselves right?” He asked himself frustrated, knowing that was just the case. Station security had been lax; they had allowed this to happen. Now the poorest were footing the damage and suffering because of it. With a balled fist, his knuckles squirmed with anger. He chose to ignore Avris’s comment on the subject. It was a pointless sentence, something Jos knew all too well, he didn’t need to be reminded of it. Instead he just gave the man a sideways glare.
As Sera began looking down her sight at the base, he followed her ‘gaze’ and examined the base with a grumble. “We don’t know how long they’ve been preparing this… They might’ve been passing off as some local gang before the put up the banners…” Jos theorised looking at the showy over the top banners, like it was something you’d expect at an imperial base. He couldn’t imagine them being able to be out and proud about their allegiance. Sure they were probably feeding, bribing and drugging the silence, but someone would’ve told the Hutts about it. The Hutts paid well for information, he’d seen it with his own eyes. If a piece of information could lead to a business opportunity or a chance to mess with one of their enemies, the price for such a thing could be limitless. Right now amongst the Hutts, the Suns weren’t doing so well. From what Jos could tell, it was only a matter of time before the two declared war. Perhaps they were bearing witness to the beginnings of such a war. “Though… I suppose it is impressive.” He shrugged, coming back into reality as he stood with the group.
Jos was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be Sera who came up with the plan to get inside. He snorted amusedly when she forewarned of risk. Of course it would be risky, all plans they had to get inside of that place was risky. Hell, living on the station was risky in itself. He listened to her, looking over at the freight elevator. They could definitely borrow the guy’s speeder; there were no guards for the thing, so it would’ve been easy for the five of them to do that. Squeezing into the crates would be another matter. He looked between the four and himself. Yep, that sounded fine. One of them would be on the bike. The rest of them would be in the crates. They could get extra crates from the shanty town; they were pretty much everywhere after all. Jos nodded in agreement with the plan. Sounded… fine, so long as they weren’t on a fixed schedule. Any delays would prove difficult to explain; though once they were inside they were in the hornet’s nest. It’d be tricky to get out once inside. Though they didn’t really know how many were inside.
When Avris spoke, Jos’s eyes rolled over to him, though he took a moment to listen to Cyrad and Arisa. “So we’re in agreement with the girl’s plan… Alright.” Jos nodded in agreement. “The Miri does have a good point about the distraction… and our friend here,” Jos pointed over to Arisa “does make a good point about the demo charges…” Jos trailed off as he noticed the freight elevator out of the corner of his eye. “If we start shooting up the base, they’re going to call for reinforcements from up top. If that happens we aren’t going to get out of here alive. What do you say about killing two birds with one stone? We put the demo charges on the elevator, blocking their route down. Either on some kind of timer, or remote. That way whilst we’re inside, the charges go off, there’s the distraction for the guards, no reinforcements and we can zoom right out of the base on the bike.”
Then there was the subject of the vents. Whilst Joss knew the vents were practically large enough to fly a Y-Wing through them, the fan blades spun at incredible rate. Plus without mag-boots of some kind, they were likely to get sucked into the fans. The temperature would’ve been extreme thanks to their proximity to the generator. He grimaced a bit at the thought. “If we got the vents to shut down somehow, we could probably escape through the vents if needs be… but I think I’d rather face blasters if you don’t mind. If it wasn’t for the fans that vent the air around the station, we could’ve probably crawled through the vents to get here in the first place.” Jos knew that they needed a back-up back-up plan, and well the vents were an option, as much as he disliked having to do so. Plus the fungus farmers must’ve been able to slow the fans given the soup he sold at the Bloody Gutta.
“If we’re all settled on the plan then, let’s get down there.” He turned to Sera. “Since it’s your plan you take the lead capturing the speeder-” Jos cut himself off as the elevator began to make a whining noise. The door screeched open and outshot the speeder towards the Sun base. “We’ve got a few minutes before it comes back out again. Let’s get into position before he gets back to the elevator.” Jos hastened as he began running off across the platform and down the ramp that lead into the shanty town.

Sera remained silent as Jos spoke, it was clear to see the Nikto was frustrated with the situation, and the way he glared at Arvis indicated it would be better if she just kept her mouth shut concerning that subject. She was ignorant of how bad things had been on the station before this mess occurred, and frankly she was happy to remain ignorant of it. The idea that the Black Suns may have had a presence on the station before hand, and had merely been passing themselves off as another street gang was very believable, and wouldn't have surprised Sera in the slightest if it turned out to be the case.
Much to Sera's delight, everyone present seemed rather content with her plan, Arvis even adding to it with a few ideas of his own. "Hmmm, if you can't whip something up, I have three charges total, if we have to blow up any more than that though you'll have to improvise, you could probably find some explosives in the armory, assuming this place has one. On that note, maybe we can locate the motor pool if they have one and set it to blow, it would be one helluva distraction, not to mention it would put an end to any pursuit before it even has a chance to begin." It was likely pretty obvious to the others that the human didn't find the idea of having to use the station ducts as their escape route very appealing, however if that's what it came to, then she'd do what she had to do. Jos's idea of using some of her explosives to disable the elevator was brilliant in her opinion as well, it would definitely make their lives easier when shit inevitably hit the fan, it was an even more viable target than the motor pool, though Sera wasn't opposed to taking out both if possible. "I can definitely make that happen, I'll have to set them to blow on a timer though, I doubt my detonator has enough range to trigger the charge once were in the base proper." When the conversation came back to the vents, Sera promptly stayed out of it, it wasn't her area of expertise and she had no idea how to go about shutting them down unless a demolition charge could do it, if that was the case though they'd have to be selective about their targets, as she didn't have enough of the high-explosive charges on her to blow up every target they had in mind.
Once they'd settled on their plan of action, Sera's eyes shifted to meet Jos's gaze when he turned to her and instructed her to take care of the first step of the plan, commandeering the speeder. With a quick nod and a simple 'On it.', she was off and descending the nearest ladder to get to the ground floor. Fortunately she already had an idea in mind to disable the bike's current driver without having to fire her blaster and risk alerting any mercs that may have been nearby, if the sound didn't reach the base itself since it wasn't terribly far away. If one of the others felt the need to accompany her, Sera wouldn't protest any, a little back-up wouldn't hurt anything. Once her feet were planted firmly on the main level, the human quickly made her way to the main street that the speeder had been using to ferry the supplies, taking her grappling device from her belt in the process. While it was built to allow people to rapidly ascend and descend vertically, Sera didn't see why she couldn't use it to make a horizontal wire the driver could snag himself on. By the time she'd set up in a good position, the speeder bike had reached the base and disappeared inside, she'd be ready for him when he came back out and headed towards the elevator.
Sure enough, a few minutes later the base doors slid open yet again and the speeder shot out, quickly making for the elevator with it's bundle of crates. "Ok, here we go." Sera muttered to herself as she raised up the device in preparation of the driver's arrival. The human woman wouldn't fire the device right away, fearing if she did the driver might actually have enough time to see it and also fearing that she might make it to high or low. Instead she'd wait patiently as the bike got closer, and closer, and closer, and when it seemed like it was going to pass her completely, she'd engage the grapple. One end immediately dug into the wall of the building behind her whilst the other shot across the street, it barely had enough time to dig into the target building when the speeder's driver struck it, actually getting caught in the throat/upper chest area. Sure enough, the high tensile strength wire held firm and yanked the man clean off the bike with little fuss, well besides his own surprised scream as he was torn off the vehicle and hurled to the ground anyways, his bike drifting off to the side and scraping alongside one of the buildings before coming to a complete stop. As the dazed man tried to recover and get to his feet, Sera sprinted over and gave him a swift kick in the head, knocking him out cold. Was it crude? Sure, but the driver would live another day and only have a nasty headache plus some aches and pains to show for the ordeal. After dragging the unconscious man out of sight, Sera made her way to the speeder bike to make sure it hadn't been damaged, and that the crates on the hauler were empty.

The local human's ridiculous exclamation about the emperor made Avris roll his eyes a little; he strongly doubted that Cyrad had much in the way of memory regarding Palpatine. He knew Jos and Sera sure did, and Avris' experience was a very close second-hand. Then again, anything was possible. The duo's commentary on the situation was perhaps a bit overlong for his tastes and unnecessary, but he appreciated the feedback and analysis... better to talk it all out now than find any further issues in the middle of the act. That said, talk of demo-charges was rather nice and he definitely agreed about the need to keep reinforcements from arriving. He was perhaps a big concerned about being able to escape once the elevator was down, but the vents around here were downright cavernous so he wasn't exceptionally worried. Between that and talk of detonating their motorpool, he was pretty damn confident that they could handle this nice and squeaky clean... or at least as clean as this work was going to get. That said, communication was going to be a bit of a bear. Guess he'd have to let someone know about his abilities. He'd been hoping to postpone that as long as possible, but desperate times called for desperate measures.
As they were preparing to head over to their ambush point, Avris quickly added to Jos, "By the way, I need to talk with you about something. In private." If the man complied and they got reasonably far away from the rest of the group, he would then talk in the quietest tones he could without the Nikto mishearing him, though he definitely put on a face that suggested that the Mirialan was very uncomfortable sharing this with someone. Not entirely true, but he had to put on an act for the sake of keeping his Jedi side hidden. "I'll make this quick, but... *deep breath* if we're unable to signal each other to cooperate, we need a method of communication. I have one but it's a little... well heavens help me if the Hutts, Suns, or any bounty hunters find out, so I hope you understand that this needs to remain between us." Assuming the Nikto understood that he wanted nobody to find out about this, he then focused and sent a message via telepathy to Jos: "I can serve as our commlink here. No, you're not hearing things, I can use the Force. I'm no master, but hopefully I'll be able to keep track of you all well enough once you're inside the complex to coordinate.[/i]" With that he cut the link and waited for the Nikto's response. He really was taking a bit of a risk here, not so much with the mercenary duo or even with Sera (she was busy), but he had no idea what Jos' stance was on Force users.
Assuming all went well in that regard he eventually joined the effort in the ambush... not that Sera needed much help. She more or less handled it on her own, though he definitely was looking around and trying to 'listen' with the Force for any signs of alarm from nearby at the man's shout. No such thing, thankfully. Apparently people were jaded enough to screams that they really didn't think anything of it. It was a rare day that he would be grateful for such things, but this was definitely one of them. He was impressed that Sera didn't outright kill the man; with what the council had been saying about her, he had fully expected her to do so. Hrmm... maybe they had bad intel. Or maybe it was more selective intel. Well, nothing he could do about it right now. Focusing on the situation at hand, he joined Sera in making sure the speeder was still intact. After yanking it off the wall he took a closer look and found himself nodding with approval, "Nice work. Just a little paint damage." With that he turned to the group and said frankly, "Alright, who all's getting in the boxes?"

Following Sera to the ambush point proved easy enough, the Human herself seemingly had the entire situation under control as Cypranjrad and Arisa almost relaxed behind her quite a few paces away to see the Speeder almost barely scratched. The spectacle of the grapple was all quite interesting itself, the wires clothes-lining the poor pilot as the woman slammed her boot into his head, in an almost barbaric matter, despite that, it quite impressed the young mercenary and he soon got off his quite lazy arse to catch up upon what to do next, which the Mirilian's speech soon led to the over-eager response soon to come out of the man's vocal cords."Aye, I'll hop on in the box, seems...somewhat fun anyway, promise me whoever drives this won't be to bumpy alright? I don't want to much contact with...well everyone." With that said, the man made his way to stand were the crates were, right behind the speeder, latched upon it tightly. Cyrad slid the lid of one of the crates over and sighed looking inside the quite cramped spacing.
He hadn't exactly wanted to do this, but in the name of getting paid, he did. Cyrad hopped into the crate, quite ungracefully, almost slipping off the edge of the container as he made his way into the box. Surprisingly enough, nothing was in this one, it [the speeder] must have been heading out for a resupply, or Cyrad was just lucky. Upon his entry into the box, the man sighed out and called out towards the party outside of the cramped container. "Remind me, why did I allow myself to volunteer this? Oh right, for credits. Greenie, I need you to make a note of not doing everything for money in the future, might save me from becoming sentient spice again." His, somewhat lengthy speech really was unneeded in the current situation, actually it was downright embarrassing, but Cyrad spoke aloud anyway, not exactly caring what the others thought of him at that moment as he curled his legs into his chest, Arisa peering over the crate to sigh and look toward the Mirilian. "If, you so wish, you can enter first sir, I wouldn't mind being last...as long as I'm not trapped in a box with that idiot." Her comment was more of a mutter, but it allowed her message to be heard and she sighed out, hoping the Mirilian would actually do so.
(At this point, I really couldn't do much, so here's my bit, at least I didn't take an entire 2 months!)

Sera had moved ahead of the group to realise her plan, whilst Jos headed down the ramp to acquire some more boxes for their entry into the Black Sun base. They were going to need at least four in order to get everyone else inside. So Jos jogged down the ramp, whilst Sera descended a ladder to get into position. They had all agreed on destroying the elevator and so that’s what they’d do. So he decided to do that himself once Sera had captured the speeder.
As he was nearing some boxes, Avris decided to speak with him. “Uh…” Jos trailed off, looking between the others. He raised a bony brow and looked to Cyrad and Arisa. “Go cover the girl in case something goes wrong.” He told them, turning back to a pile of crates nearby. He began walking towards them, beckoning Avris to follow after him. “If you’re going to tell me your mamma is in the Black Suns or you used to be with them and you might be recognised, I don’t care. We’ve got a job to do.” He grumbled as he reached the crates. Quickly he slid around the side of one and turned on its mini-repulsor generator. As the generator whirred on, it lifted itself off the ground and then Jos moved to the second crate sat next to it. The Nikto listened to Avris as he turned on the next generator and moved the crates together, which quickly snapped together. “Makes sense-though I don’t know why the Hutts ‘n’ Suns can’t find out…”
There had been no real expectation from the Nikto, though his cheeks puffed up somewhat as he waited for the Mirilan to explain his position. When he revealed himself to be a force user through telepathy, there was a long huff of air from Jos. “You… are you crazy?” He asked as he attached a third crate to his ‘train’. “Why in the entire galaxy would a force user willingly come to Hutt Space? Have you a death wish?” There was a long sigh before he quickly put up his hand to silence Avris, in the case he had been about to respond. “You know what, don’t tell me. I don’t want to know. The less I know the less danger you’re going to present us. Don’t worry; I ain’t gonna sell you out-even if I could get a couple of thousand peggats. Could get some nice security droids for the Gutta…” He chuckled slightly. He was joking, though he’d be lying if he said the potential money wasn’t at all tempting. It was, he just had bigger priorities right now, and one was making sure the station was secure.
Jos had been but a baby when the Clone Wars started. He didn’t remember much of course. He remembered that Jedi were considered great heroes during that time. He remembered the Sith were considered villains. For some reason, Jos wasn’t entirely sure why, but the Jedi turned into villains by the end of the war. When he had been taken to be a slave soldier for the Hutts, he remembered the bounty hunters they often worked with would dream of catching a former Jedi. The bounty the Empire set on them was tremendous. Hell, even Jos dreamed sometimes. He could’ve bought his freedom from that, but alas he never actually came face to face with such a being… at least he didn’t knowingly. Jedi, Sith, force user, Jos wasn’t entirely sure of the difference. Now he was practically face to face with one, and he wasn’t entirely sure how to take it. He knew their reputation for being great warriors, and he was sure the man’s skills would prove useful. Unfortunately, the man had to stunt his skills to keep himself hidden. That didn’t exactly fill him with confidence. Jos supposed that if anyone didn’t find out about it, it didn’t exactly change anything.
Jos took a hold of the crates and began pushing them into position. “Hopefully we’ll be able to get our hands on some communicators from the Suns. Though if we need your magic, use it.” He told as he got into position some distance away from Sera as she organised her own plan. From where he was stood, he could quite easily see what she was up to. The girl was carrying around a grappling hook? What was she expecting to need that for? He shook his head, it didn’t matter. By now, he could hear the speeder get closer. Just when it was close enough she fired the device and Jos watched as the man got caught on it, knocking the speeder off to the side. Sera quickly moved into action and she knocked the guy out with her foot. Jos gave a slight impressed chuckle, though he immediately got to his feet and pushed the crates over near the speeder. Quickly he latched on the crates to the back as Sera hid the unconscious man. As Sera came back around and checked the crates that had indeed been attached to the speeder beforehand they did prove empty. They were large enough to fit a single person in, though Nikto soon realised it would’ve been cramped as all hell. “Doesn’t look too comfy. Give me one of your charges; I’ll go set it up on the elevator. Check this thing over.”
When Avris was checking the speeder over, Jos received the explosive charge from Sera. He’d had been about to leave for the elevator, which actually wasn’t too far away, when Avris spoke. “Hm, I should probably drive. No offence, but your green skin’s gonna get us noticed. Chances are they’re expecting someone who looks a bit more like me. Get ready as soon as I come back, the timer will have started so get in, get comfy… and try not to push the lids up until we’re in. I’ll knock on your crate when we’re safely inside.”
Jos raised an eyebrow between Cyrad and Arisa, before snorting somewhat. “… try to keep your friend sane.” He told Arisa, before he sprinted off towards the elevator.
Once at the elevator, Jos quickly moved over to the control panel and pressed the button to send the lift upwards. Once the platform was ascending slowly upwards towards the upper levels, presumably the outer ring near the hangars, Jos examined the nearby control mechanisms. He took a few moments to assess where the explosives would best be placed. As the elevator ascended upwards, he notices the exposed latching underneath the elevator. Quickly he climbed up underneath the elevator and attached the explosives to the latching, setting the timer for a few minutes. He then dropped down onto the ground and smirked. Once the charge exploded, the elevator would come crashing down, thus cutting off any reinforcements from the decks above.
By the time Jos returned, everyone was climbing inside of their boxes and putting the lids loosely above their heads. Quickly Jos clambered onto the speeder. “Stay quiet from here on out guys.” He grumbled back at them before thrusting forward on the controls. He wasn’t going to wait around, or be gentle with the controls; they didn’t have time… unfortunately for Cyrad. Before too long the speeder, smuggling the four shot through the slums and headed up the large metal ramp towards the Black Sun base.
Their arrival didn’t go unnoticed as searchlights found them and lit up their arrival. Quickly two Black Sun guards stomped towards the bike as Jos slowed down to a halt.
“Another one already?” grumbled the guard who stood next to Jos as his companion examined the boxes as he walked around the vehicle.
“The boss sent me down when the other guy left, said the other guy was too slow… Things are getting heavy above.” Jos grumbled, pointing back at the elevator. “You guys wanna let me through, don’t want the boss getting mad again.”
“Hold on,” said the second guard, who approached Cyrad’s box. “This lid’s loose; let me fix that for ya.” The guard shouldered his rifle and stepped onto the cargo hauler and grabbed a hold of the lid. Jos’s eyes widened, and he quickly turned to look at the second guard, his hand moving towards his pistol. He quickly lifted it up slightly, turned it and put it back down, twisting it again and sealing up the box… and namely Cyrad’s air supply. “There ya go. Get inside; cargo hold is just past the armoury on the left. Just stack ‘em off somewhere and get back out here. Don’t keep your boss waitin’” The guard smirked, patting Cyrad’s box.
Jos breathed an audible sigh and nodded. “Thanks guys.” He grumbled, and thrust forward again, jerking the speeder bike forward. As they did so one of the Akk dog handlers was jerked forward by the beast he held the reins off in the direction of the speeder. All Jos heard was ‘stupid dog’ as he shot into a large hallway that led into the base. Weirdly, the base seemed almost void of life. Whilst there were definitely some Suns around, a large number of them seemed to be missing. Some were talking in the rooms they passed, whilst others seemed to be occupying themselves with computer terminals. As showy as their outer base was, it was clearly the first and last line of defence. Two more guards were stationed outside of the armoury, though they looked incredibly bored. Both were sat in chairs, playing some card game, though they quickly dived on the cards as Jos thundered past on the speeder, making two or three cards fly off. Jos quickly turned into the cargo area that was full to the brim almost with boxes, though most of them had been emptied. Jos quickly pulled in to the free space and hopped off the speeder and powered it down. As he did so he noticed a faint hum of power. He blinked for a moment noticing how loud it was. “Is that…” He muttered, almost wondering if he could hear the station’s generators.
Quickly he snapped out of it, after realising Cyrad’s container had been sealed up. Jos shot over to the container and twisted it open, pulling the lid off and then dropping it to the side with a heavy thud. “Sshhh. Keep quiet.” Jos told the guy though he moved over to the other containers and started knocked on the lids to give them the signal that they were clear to come out. Jos quickly pulled the slugthrower off his back and moved to the door. He slowly peered around it, noticing the armoury guards were less than a hundred metres away. With a slight grumble, he headed back to the group. With a hushed tone he spoke to them. “Okay, two guards outside, they’re blocking entry to the armoury, they’ll also see us once we leave this room, we’ll need to deal with them. There are a few Suns around, but it seems empty for the most part… ‘least until we get to the command centre. We’re also gonna need to get into a terminal to get the layout of this pla” Jos stopped midsentence as he heard something behind him.
There were a couple of loud growls coming from the hall they had just come from, accompanied by the footsteps of guards."What's going on, why are they angry?" asked one of the armoury guards as the akk dog handlers were dragged along by their reins.
“The speeder that came through? They must’ve sniffed something.” As the guards and the akk dogs got closer, the akk dogs started snarling. “Ah! The hell. Stop pulling so hard ya bunch of crazies! Here, fine. Go on. Get!” shouted the handlers.
Suddenly two large akk dogs raced into the cargo room, snarling at the five assembled in there. The dogs instantly targeted Arisa and Avris and suddenly leapt at them. Jos had been about to defend the two, when he looked past them as the handlers, now joined by the guards ran in after the dogs. They soon pulled up their guns and firing off shots towards the group. Jos dived behind a couple of cargo crates as blaster fire swept over his previous position. He cursed in Huttese, leaning over his cover and began firing back at the guards. Just then an alarm rang out through the base alerting everyone to their presence. If they weren’t done with this group, they would be soon overrun.

Sera smiled lightly at Arvis's complement of her commandeering of the speeder. "Thanks, though I think that's up to the boss man." she'd reply. Seeing as Jos was the one running the show, it only made sense for him to decide who was doing what. Speaking of the Nikto, it didn't take long for the 'old man' to join them down on the main floor, and with some boxes to boot. They looked much...smaller than the woman was hoping they'd be, and she couldn't help but frown and sigh as Jos went about getting them hooked to the speeder. This was going to suck, if they got found out before they could get free of those boxes, the fight would be over before it even began. "No, you think?" she grumbled in response to his redundant comment of the boxes looking uncomfortable. When told to hand over one of her charges, Sera did so without any further complaints, taking one of the small explosives from where it had been attached onto her belt and tossing it to him. His comment about him driving rather than the Mirialan got a smirk from the woman, honestly, she'd have liked to drive but Jos had a point, he certainly looked more the part of a Black Suns merc than any of them. As the Nikto sauntered off to set them on the evelator, Sera took the opportunity to help Arvis look the speeder over and make sure nothing had been knocked loose when it hit the wall. Fortunately it seemed to be a few steps above a complete piece of shit, as she couldn't find any glaring issues with it, Arvis may have had a better eye for this sort of thing though. Assuming his prognosis was a good one, Sera rose back to her feet and made to climb into one of the cramped containers.
It was an awkward task, weaseling herself into the tight little box with all of her gear, fortunately she'd managed the feat by the time the Nikto returned from planting the charges, and she'd just finished getting the lid on when he climbed onto the speeder. "Just hurry up, I don't like tight spaces." she'd growl lightly when Jos told them all to stay quiet till he gave them the signal that they were safely inside. When the bike got moving, Sera's hands went to either side of her box to steady herself as they zoomed along towards the base. If the woman told you she wasn't nervous as the bike came to a halt, the voices of what she presumed to be the perimeter guards accompanied by the sounds of akk dogs. When one of the guards made a comment about one of the box's lids being loose, the knot in Sera's stomach tightened tenfold, and she braced herself for what she believed to be the inevitable sound of him discovering their little ploy. Amazingly, no such sound came, just the faint noise of the lid of someone's box being pressed down firmly. When Jos was given the all clear, she'd breath out a heavy sigh of relief as her container shifted once they began moving again.
When they came to a stop and the knock on her lid came, Sera couldn't shove the top of the container off fast enough, and she was quick to scramble out of the container, very obviously happy to be out of the cramped, stuffy space. "Phew, I thought we were as good as busted back there." the woman remarked as she unslung her EE-3 from her shoulder and joined Jos as he started giving them a quick rundown of what was waiting for them outside. Unfortunately, the Nikto never got the chance to finish, for several voices and the sound of akk dogs down the hall could be distinctly heard. Sera's eyes went wide as she looked at Jos, knowing full well this wasn't going to end well or quietly. "Shit!" the curse barely left the human's mouth when the akk dogs came into view. The second the beasts laid eyes on the group, they charged at the other human woman and the Mirialan. Like Jos, Sera too raised her weapon to try and kill the beasts before they could close the distance to them, but when their handlers arrived on the scene and started shooting, she was forced to take cover before she could get a shot off, the pair would have to deal with the dogs on their own it seemed. The human wasted no time in returning fire, squeezing off a few bolts in the one of the guard's direction before slipping back into cover. Within moments the alarm began to blare, and Sera knew full well that their situation was about to get a whole lot worse if they couldn't push out of this room fast.

To be frank, Avris was a little nervous about telling the nikto of this ability, mostly because there were plenty of nikto who didn't hold much love for Force users. However, while the man's jokes and his subsequent reaction to being told the rather alarming information weren't exactly comforting, at least he seemed to have a good grasp of the situation. Still, he simply responded with the words, "It's too long a story right now anyways," to the question of why he would be here and its rough dismissal, not really bothering with elaborating as he listened to the man's advice... and rather nerve-shaking 'joke.' Sure wasn't funny, but he could feel well enough that the man wasn't being particularly serious, at least for the time being. Still, the mirialan filed that thought away and simply reminded himself that he would just be best off getting out of dodge once he could--best not to tempt people like this for too long. However, the fact that Jos wasn't trying to gut him on the spot told him that he was at least willing to cooperate with him for the time being. To his relief, the man agreed that, if they ABSOLUTELY needed to, and he was more than happy to reply, "That was the thought."
There were no hurt feelings to be had when it came to who was to be driving, it made sense and he simply nodded his understanding, getting into line to climb into the horrifically cramped confines of the box. Of course, the fool human's comment earned a slight smirk from the mirialan as he replied, "Please, spice is actually treated well." Of course, once the woman muttered about not wanting to be trapped in confines with her evident boss, he chuckled very softly and nodded his understanding, replying in good nature, "Don't really want to get in at all, but sure. Not like the conditions will be much better." With that he started trying to weasel his way into the box, curling himself up as efficiently as possible. To his irritation he could practically hear the memories of being shipped off by the slavers entering his head, though at least then he could look around. This time, as Arisa crawled in alongside him, he was afraid to even move his head for fear of smacking his head. As the Nikto moved to get the lid on, Avris had one last quip: "And thus begins our career as canned fish."
The ride was tense, to put it mildly. Avris was definitely able to tell what was going on better than Cyrad or Arisa, and to some extent maybe better than Sera depending on how well she was listening, but that didn't help matters. In fact, it made it worse, and he really did feel utterly vulnerable... especially with those horrid memories still flooding back and tickling at the back of his mind as the speeder moved through the complex. Still, he simply focused on his breathing, keeping under control and not panicking, only getting alarmed once the akk dogs got involved, his hand actually moving to his lightsaber just in case they decided to look into the box. Fortunately, that time never came, and instead they were able to breathe slightly easier as they headed into the warehouse.
When the knock on the lid finally came, he was all too quick to get it off, taking a big deep breath as he moved to get himself released and free. Grunting quietly as he clambered out, he resisted the urge to quip just long enough for Sera to beat him to the punch, and as he was JUST getting himself nice and set into place, he caught the conversation just outside... and immediately his eyes went wide, freezing as he briefly looked around for a place to hide. But there was no time to find one, and as the door was flung open two of those damn beasts came charging in at himself and Arisa. To Avris's credit, he was quick on the draw (though that may have been largely helped by the Force), and as his dog was winding up to lunge at him he pulled his blaster and gave it a quick double-tap in the head and back. He wasn't fast enough to protect Arisa entirely, so whatever she did with the dog was up to her, but if she got attacked, he would be very quick to fire in defense of her as well before booking it over to her to help haul her into cover. Alternatively, if she killed the dog without issue, then what he would do is dive for cover and start sending some fire downrange at the thugs, hoping to hit them, but more than anything expecting to suppress them long enough for the others to move up.

The ride was stressful to say the least, being crammed like sardines without the smell, into a small box that was certainly not meant to house anything bipedal and at least a meter tall was not exactly what Cyrad called a 'fun' time. Though other than stress, it was relatively non-bumpy and quiet until the guards had begun speaking. Feeling his heartbeat in his throat and holding his breath had kept Cyrad from stressing to much, but the click upon his box and sealing him inside the space tin-can almost had him prepare to fire his pistol, his hand gripping around the holster upon the small of his back as much as he could considering the cramped quarters. This, was the absolute opposite of good, Cyrad's thoughts raced in his mind as he began thinking of his soon-to-be self dying of suffocation. The thought aside, the trip had passed quickly after, life returning to normal speed as the lid popped off from the Nikto's hands. Cyrad, taking in a gulp of air in a dramatic fashion to show how grateful he was in his own little way.
Crawling his way out, alongside Arisa, he silently prepared himself for the march ahead of him quickly checking his weapons and belts to be sure nothing was harmed by the boxes as Arisa did the same, walking along the side of the speeder-cart nodding in agreement with Sera before the Akk Dogs rounded the corner. Charging straight at Arisa and Arvis, Cyrad barely had anything to say as he unholstered his pistol and prepared to fire off before noticing the situation. Handlers firing, Akk Dogs attempting to rip your throat out, not a good scenario for the beginning of a job, Cyrad in all honesty had no chance to think of an action as soon as the blaster bolts started flying, so he fired off his pistol in the direction of the Akk Dog heading for Arisa before attempting to switch his weapons out and ducking his head down, pushing a crate over the small hover-cart to take cover by and attempt to get Arisa out of such a sticky situation and return fire at the handlers.
Arisa herself, had a much different and messier story to tell other than Cyrad. The acidic insides of the pistol splattered mostly on the floor, burning the durasteel slightly as the Akk Dog jumped on top of her, biting down into her right forearm as she scrambled to defend herself. She really had no chance to unholster her pistols, but she continued to shout in pain and draw her left pistol as quickly as she could, with an Akk Dog on top of her, to fire off several rounds into its underbelly. Even if the Akk Dog died from the blaster, it was still on her and even so, her right arm was now under the intense grip of an Akk Dog, biting down through muscle and flesh to the bone. It was a horrid situation, that Cyrad was attempting to help with by firing his rifle into the back of it before trying to fight off the Handlers with several bolted-shots in their direction.

Jos was under a suppressive fire by the two guards as the Akk dogs pounced on both Avris and Arisa. With his head down all he could see was Sera moving to defend the group from the guard’s assault. Jos looked up as he heard a Black Sun guard scream in agony and fall short as several of her blasts hit him squarely in the chest. Though Sera had turned her gun on the other guard, he dodged into cover behind the archway leading into the cargo room. Soon the guard began peeking and targeting her. Jos leaned over his cover and lent the rifle atop the cargo box. In a steady motion he turned the rifle towards the guard and aimed down the sights.
He watched as the guard peaked his head out, from around the corner. Jos fired two slugs. The first startled the guard, who immediately turned, just to get hit squarely in the chest with the slug, falling over dead in the hall.
By now the akk dogs were in combat with both Avris and Arisa. Avris was quite quick to fire on the beast, hitting it in the head. The blaster bolt slammed into the control device sat on the top of the skull, causing it to explode into sparks. The other shot caught the akk dog on the side of its face. It whimpered and yelped as it fell onto its side. With its face all bloodied, it panted, seemingly disabled for the time being.
Across the hall the remaining Akk dog had somehow managed to bite Arisa’s arm Jos could only watch as he fired back at the Handlers who’d now started firing at both him, Sera and Cyrad. Suddenly flashes of light from the Akk dog’s underbelly caused the akk dog to yelp out, releasing Arisa’s arm from its bloodied maw. Nearby, the freed Avris turned his gun on the akk dog and blasted it off the wounded Arisa. It fell to her side, dead with several scorched wounds to its flank.
The remaining handlers, provoked by the loss of the guards and the akk dogs raced towards the group. The two targeted the wounded Arisa, after realising her arm was bleeding. As they did so, Cyrad’s blaster fire caught them both in the side causing them to toss their weapons away and fall into a small pile near the wounded akk dog. Jos, now seeing that the attacking group had been dealt with, pulled himself up from behind the cargo container. He looked to Sera and the others. “Tend to Arisa.” He ordered, before running over to the wounded akk dog and the dead handlers. He stared down at it, as it began growling at him. All the while the control collar fizzed and sparked. Jos quickly put it out of its misery, before beginning to pat down the handlers. “Someone check the guards for access cards… We’re gonna need some to get into the armoury. I’ll check through these supplies. See if I can find something to help with the wound. Oh and bring the body in here, if someone sees that corpse lying out there, they'll know where to look for us.” He began pulling off the lids of various cargo boxes, most of which were empty, though the ones contained items were filled to the brim with spice, stims, ammo, small weapons and even a decent stack of credits. Jos grumbled a “aha,” before grabbing some of the stims and tossing them over to whoever at took up the task of tending to Arisa. “Give her those… Can’t say it’ll stop the bleeding but it’ll slow it, take away the pain.” He told, before going off to reload his gun and check on the others. Seemingly they had been given enough time to catch their breath. Besides the alarm that was going off in the hall, the base had fallen quiet. "Reload, supply up... don't grab too much. We'll have to come back through here eventually with Gido anyway, so you'll be able to grab more for yourselves later on... not to mention we still have to get into the armoury, who knows what's in there."

Sera had gotten lucky and dropped one of the guards with a few well placed blaster bolts to the chest before he'd had time to get into cover, the man going limp and hitting the ground with a thud, but that still left one guard, the two handlers, and the Akk dogs to deal with. Fortunately Arvis had been quick on the draw, the Mirialan managing to pull his sidearm and drop the beast with a few well aimed shots, Arisa wasn't so lucky however... A few moments later, the old Nikto managed to pop the remaining guard she was trading shots with, though before the human could engage another target, the handlers had fired her way, forcing her to take cover. In a stroke of stupidity, when Arisa managed to kill the remaining dog still on top of her, the handlers rushed forward, only to be shot dead by Cyrad in short order. With that, things fell quiet, save for the alarm still blaring outside in the hall. Sera breathed a sigh of relief as she propped her carbine on her shoulder a looked over the carnage before her. "Not exactly a great start to our little rescue mission... she'd mutter, not really to anyone in particular. Her gaze eventually drifted to Arisa, whom looked to have a nasty wound on her arm, compliments of one of the Akk dogs, but before she could go to help her out someone beat her to the punch. When Jos instructed one of them to drag the bodies of the guards in and check them for access cards that could get them into the armory, Sera went ahead and volunteered herself for that job. After dragging each body out of the hallway and into the storage room, she'd set to work checking them for keycards. It took a couple of minutes, but eventually Sera found what she was looking for. "Jackpot." she quipped with a smirk as she found what she was looking for. With keycard in hand, she'd make her way back over to the group, idly twirling the card in her fingers. Since the fight hadn't really gone on long enough for her to expend a full blaster pack, Sera didn't bother grabbing any extra ammunition, though the credits did pique her interest and she promptly helped herself to some of them after pocketing the keycard. "So..." she began as she started filling her pockets with wupiupi. "Not to sound like a pessimist, but what makes you so sure this kid is still alive? They could have just killed him and TOLD you they were holding him hostage." Of course Sera didn't want to be a downer, but if they were risking their necks for this boy, she would have at least liked a little reassurance that he was even here or still drawing breath, and the Black Suns had given Jos neither of those. Regardless of his reply or reasoning, Sera rejoined the group after pocketing a healthy sum of currency. "Don't suppose any of you can shut off that damn alarm?" While it may have not brought anymore guards running yet, silencing it still would have been a good idea.

Avris swore under his breath as the akk dog leapt upon Arisa, and while she was quick to finish it off as he put a pair of bolts into the damn thing, he was far too slow to knock it down before it got its teeth into her. He was quick to move in to help her get it off, his eyes constantly darting to the firefight right next door. Thankfully, the rest of the team was on the ball and was able to remove the threat without too much issue, leaving the mirialan to haul her into cover in relative safety. Of course, by the time he was able to continue firing, the fight was over and they were left with a bunch of smoking bodies and one whimpering akk dog, an alarm blaring outside. With that in mind, his first priority was to tend to their wounded comrade, assuming that somebody else had that under control. He didn't even need the order, instead kneeling down in front of her with a calm, "Alright, let's take a look at that." Assuming she didn't put up too much protest, he got any sleeve she had on the affected area out of the way and looked at the mess that had become her injury. It... well it looked ugly, but considering what could've happened it was actually not too bad. Certainly better than some of the shit that he'd seen akk dogs do if left to their own devices. "Well, good news is it shouldn't be permanent, but keep some pressure on it for me; got a knife?" Hopefully she would, because he wanted to give her some sort of bandage... and he would use that opportunity to do a bit of healing of his own.
As the mirialan was about to start that, he was surprised when Jos tossed a stim over to him, which he only barely managed to catch. Well, hey, if he was willing to give those up to help her, then he was all for it. Grabbing one of them, he took hold of the stim and said to her, "This might feel a bit odd," and injected her with the stim. Hopefully it wasn't a more addictive sort, because he didn't care to think about the side-effects of that, but for the time being it would do. With that, he went ahead and cut a bit off of his own pant leg to make a crude bandage for her. As he got it wrapped up, however, he gave a quick look back at Sera as she asked for help with the alarm before quickly wrapping the wound and doing a little bit of his Force mojo on it. "Yeah, gimme a tick." He wasn't a master healer by any stretch, but hopefully he'd at least be able to seal it up and prevent any infection. Of course, he couldn't see his work, and unless she was very attentive she probably wouldn't have noticed that he was doing anything of the sort either (since it was all under bandages), but near as he could tell he at least did a good enough job that, between the stims and his healing it would keep her in the action.
The moment he was done, he darted over to where one of the alarm interface panels were, wiping his hands off on his pants before coming up to it. "Doubt this is a very new system," he commented as he went about pulling out his slicing kit, "Of course, if it IS new we're smoked, but last I checked nobody would waste that kind of money in a slum." Sure enough, the security system was pretty archaic--made his junk slicing kit look like state of the art technology. Well, he wasn't complaining. Again, he didn't break any speed records on taking it down, but he managed to kill the alarm with one last *bing bing* to sound the 'all clear.' Afterwards, he added to them with a slight smirk, "I don't suppose any of you would complain if I tried to kill the alarm on a more permanent basis?" Of course, he wasn't expecting to succeed in that, but it was worth a shot while everyone rearmed and take a breath. In the meantime there was the conversation of the mission they were on to deal with. He'd caught Sera's comment about the kid being dead, but he hadn't bothered responding. Really, at this point he didn't have anything to say, because she was very likely right, though why she wasn't trying to listen with the Force for any sign of someone in distress was beyond him. He was busy: he had an alarm to kill. Besides, it was a little late now. Instead he just kept trying to kill the alarm, but by the time he was done he said with a frustrated groan, "Well, this one's dead and I'm pretty sure I saw wires for another one or two they wired in with it, but I wouldn't rely on them not hitting alarms."

After the small firefight was all said and done, Cyrad had taken no time at all to vault over his cover and rush over to Arisa with the Mirilian to see to her. This wasn't exactly to the point that he cared for the captain of his ship, but she was the one who could actually pilot the thing without blowing it up. Her arm was quite the mess, well, Arisa as a whole was a mess, banged up and cut up from the Akk Dog's claws and teeth, though even in this state it didn't stop Cyrad from making a small joke. "At least your face wasn't mangled, still have that going for ya." Arisa, then gave him a deathly glare as the Mirilian actually helped her out as she handed him her small utility vibroknife. It was almost painless for her as she took the stim, the only worry she had was getting some odd Xenodisease, the diseases you get with stim-needles can certainly be a downer sometimes.
Other than Arisa being patched up by the Mirilian, Cyrad chuckled a bit at Sera's mention over the situation of things and went to reloading his rifle, pulling the bolt back and pressing a small box into the rifle where the ionized shells laid in wait for the next pair of pirates to show up and try to blast the group's brains out. He [Cyrad] really couldn't do much, he only knew how to blast his rifle in a certain direction and hope he actually hit something, so he left the "Attempt to find solution to Alarm" plans to the others as he simply kept watch.
With Arisa finally patched up, she joined up with Cyrad and grumbled to herself, testing her hand unsuccessfully to realise she'd only be using her left hand for the rest of the mission, unless she feels like hurting herself every time she pulled the trigger of her blaster pistol, which she'd not actually hesitate to do if it came down to it. The pair watched the group rummage around the various bodies and the Mirilian slicing the alarm console. Cyrad, listening to the various quips throughout the slicing and looting, sighed and shook his head. Hopefully the access card Sera had would open the armoury.
