Is this title any better?
So Zen and I have had a conversation, and we've decided to get an interest check for a superhero rp going. We haven't really got a plot in mind as of yet. But we figured we'd put the feeders out, see if we get any bites. Since I'm more of a DC guy and Zen's... more of a marvel guy (correct me if I'm wrong), we'll probably do a sort do a combination of themes from that sort of world. Or we'll just say sod conformity and work on our own 'world' for this. Basically we'll be creating a team of superheroes and we'll deal with a big villain of some kind. Of course rules will be in place, so no Supermen or Thor, ya know basically bloody power houses it takes someone equally strong to take down. But we'll work on that at some point. So yeah any takers? Also feel free to suggest ideas, and what not. -----Okay, so we've settled on a setting and it'll be modern day/near future, so probably something like 2020 something like that. Basically as the world is today with a bit of an upgrade, meaning we're using our own 'world'. Since we've got a bad guy from Butter, we don't really need some big backstory for the world. All we need is something relatively simple. Something along the lines of: fairly recently the world's been exposed to super powered individuals, as a result heroes and villains have been cropping up just about everywhere. A few of them are now about to collide after a nasty villain sets up a dastardly plot to... do something. We've now confirmed that the locations for both threads will be Detroit and Chicago. One thread will be in Detroit, the other in Chicago. I hope that's fine for everyone? On a scale of one to ten, one being Colour Kid, 10 being Apocalypse, our superheroes should be around the 4-7 range in terms of power level. Spider-Man fitting on the 7 on the range, whereas Angel (As Angel) might be a 3. Basically we just want guys with balanced powers with good weaknesses that aren't just cop outs. Like "he's not good with crowds" - that would be a bad weakness. Give him something he'll actually struggle with, his own Kryptonite. You can have random reasons for why your powers came to be, just be reasonable about it. Be creative with it, don't just look at a catelogue of powers and take a whole bunch of them and be like "that's it, done" see if you can be creative with certain powers. Say if you have invisibility as a power, make it so that his or her reflection can be seen at all times whilst the power was active. This would open up the chance to use your power in ways you wouldn't otherwise. I guess since we've got a few people interested, I'll get to work on something of a character sheet tomorrow and we'll see about getting some characters up. It'll probably be much like the SW one though, only with force powers being replaced with actual powers. Another key difference, after a discussion is that we're voiding histories. You can write a history but keep it hidden and off the character sheet. Instead, you'll write about their personality and their public appearance, how the public and the media on large reacts to them. That sort of thing. That way you can keep your civil identities a secret until it gets revealed to the others in the group via the plot. Here's the CS. Delete things if necessary add as you will. It's loose. Also if you can find a picture that'll be great, not required though

Consider the following, expand on it if you will: What sort of hero or villain are they? Describe how they face day to day crime. Are they more of a detective like Batman, are they more of a face the head on like Superman, or are they primarily heroes that deal with disasters? Do they trust the government, or are they openly opposed to it? How do the media represent them and how does your character treat them in return? How do they hold themselves, do they like the attention? What is public opinion of them?
I don’t expect an awful lot here, you can write as much as you want. Please give us something though, ‘cause our characters should be aware of each other, unless said hero has specifically hidden from the public eye. They might be more mysterious, but the effects of their work should be seen. So in that case, write about that instead.

I'm game (obviously). And while I'd say I prefer Marvel as a whole because I think a lot of characters are deeper, I'm a lot more familiar with the mythos of DC and most of my favorite heroes are DC.
So are we going to be a bunch of mid-tier/street-level heroes (IE as strong as Spider-Man at absolute maximum)? Because I could see us working pretty well in pretty much any universe if that's the case, whether it's creating our own mythos or working within DC or Marvel.

That would probably be my preferred idea. mid-tier/street-level superheroes. Daredevil/Spiderman/Question/Nightwing ect. Not overly strong, but enough to kick some major butt.

I could really only see myself participating in this if we created our own mythos rather than using an existing universe (But don't let that persuade you to use an existing universe just to keep me out).
Also - I'd love to be a super villain... But i'll need some minions.

I'm in if I can be Evil Henchman #1. Not neccesarily but yeah, I'd also like to be a defined 'bad guy'. If you just want one, that's cool, just let me know. (Also as a side note, I can't access a computer for the next 3 days, so yeah, if I'm allowed in, I can't give anything more than ideas until then.)
Also as a side-note, are the powers just like 'boom, I can shoot lasers out of my eyes' or is it more like 'my eyes shoot out a beam that rapidly heats anything it touches to X degrees, effectively melting and then vaporizing most objects on contact'? Also, costumes. I get the whole 'need to hide face' for most people, but does the characters outfits have to be weird and wacky? Or can they be more...(normal isnt the word is use but that will do)? Say for example...Black Widow in the Avengers movies. She just wears that bodysuit thing. I guess it does fit the whole 'black' part of the name, but I'd assume the outfit is more for practicality than costume.
Tah.

If Butter's happy with henchmen fine... But I'd prefer to have heroes, so not everyone just immediately jumps on the Bad Bandwagon. So uh, Butter?
Well, powers would probably be more like the second in that particular case. Unless there was something specific about said lasers like... I dunno, he or she can use said laser to bounce off things and see around corners using the light that isn't absorbed by the object.
I'd prefer having actual costumes. Whilst 'normal' clothing would be fine, they don't usually inspire fear or admiration to the degree of an actual costume would. UNLESS it's something signature that makes them stand out in a crowd. For instance: The Question wears all blue overcoat and fedora (before it was stolen by a certain crowd), with an orange shirt, black tie and a face mask. So long as it fits the character, that'll be fine. We're not gonna be like Heroes and have cheer leaders running around in a tank top, jeans and a hoodie for instance.

Yeah, I actually had an idea for a supervillain, with a legion of minions - that you can ask me about through a PM or whatever - as well as a primary "sidekick" (Because I had two distinctly different ideas for a villain, and just ended up basically going with both) for him. So potentially you could be a minion who gets more powerful, and rises through the ranks to later become a full fledged sidekick, rival villain, or possibly even a hero ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW7Op86ox9g ) I figure for RP sake it would be preferable to have more villains then less, that way we can build a more dynamic story, what with villains potentially getting captured, rotting in jail for a couple of threads, and then appearing out of the blue after a dastardly escape.

So long as this is its own thing and avoiding pre-established heroes, I'm not just on the bandwagon but I will personally pay for the bandwagon and help drag it along. So yeah, count me in with a side of fries and a special order of stoked.

General Information Alias: The Rocketeer Nicknames: Rocket, Rocketman, Jet Gender: Male Appearance Height: About 6’ 2 ish Weight: About 160lbs Build: He has a similar build to that of a long distance runner, tall and thin and seeming quite thin. Distinguishing Features: The suit is very distinguishing given the fact that it keeps him almost entirely anonymous Costume: covered from head to toe in what can primarily be described as a paratrooper’s outfit, It was clear the suit was designed for flight. The head appears to be made or at least covered in black metal, bolted together in an industrialised way. The only real feature of the helmet is a single red visor that covers his eyes. It lights up when he scans the environment, granting him the ability to see at night and in infrared. The rest of the suit is lightly armoured, the armour consisting mostly of light Kevlar, it’ll protect against knives, but a shot from a gun will probably penetrate it. The rest of the suit is padded with aerogel to protect him from impact, such as landing hard on concrete. Under his arms, he has a sort of webbing which he can recede. The webbing allows him to control his flight, much like a flying squirrel. On his back he carries a miniaturised jet engine, used for propulsion; it leaves a red trail as he flies through the sky, reaching back further the faster he goes. Weaponry: He doesn’t carry weapons himself, though he will make use of objects and other criminals as weapons during a fight. Equipment: Described in his costume, that is about the limit of his equipment. Other Details Skills: Has some pretty effective combat moves and strategies, he’s got lightning fast reaction times,, as well as a great head for physics Karma: Lawful Good Abilities Power/s: Gravity manipulation – he is able to nullify gravity to himself and things around him weighing up to about a ton. He can pick up a small car with relative ease, but beyond that he’s not able to lift anything. He requires touch to be able to manipulate the gravity of an object, and is able to do so on a whim. He doesn’t have much experience with making things heavier, though he does often make things weightless. This allows him to ‘fly’ in ways which is assisted with the engine on his back. Strengths and weaknesses: One of his biggest strengths is his speed and agility, allowing him to get to places incredibly quickly, especially over long distances. In a fight he can use his ability to great advantage, able to throw around large foes by making them weightless whilst he does so. His biggest weakness is the engine does cut out in water, making him incredibly slow. He can find it difficult to fly in strong winds and his power requires concentration, breaking it might cause him to fall out of the sky, or lose control of his power temporarily. Personality: An optimistic person who values freedom above all else. He loves his powers and he thinks quite highly of himself. He has a good sense of humour. His serious side is… somewhat not existent at least on the outside. That being said, he doesn’t like people or things picking on the little guy, and will stand up and protect those he feels are at risk. That being said however, he would prefer diplomacy to conflict if that was possible, and usually reserves himself for disaster relief, preferring to rescue people from burning buildings, than getting into gritty conspiracies. With all this in mind, he is generally the stereotypical hero. He strives to save people, and that’s what he does on daily basis. The media has reacted as such, giving him many praises, though some remain suspicious. They see his absolute anonymity something to be fearful of, despite the fact that he’s only ever been seen as doing good. He has given quite a number of television interviews to reporters. Whilst his voice has been somewhat garbled to hide his identity, he does sound British in his terms, words and phrases. In the public eye he’s pretty much deemed a hero across the board, bar a select few.

General Information Alias: Esprit Nicknames: Esper, sometimes called "The Witch" by unsympathetic media sources Gender: Female Appearance Height: 5'5" Weight: 120 lbs Eye Color: Green Hair Style: A bit over shoulder length when not in hood Hair Color: Dark brown Facial Hair: N/A Skin Color: White, slightly on the pale side Build: Somewhat light, but well-exercised Distinguishing Features: Strong French accent, Costume:(Add the mask in the first picture. Glowing only occurs when she is 'charged', hair comes out of the hood a little, not quite as form-fitting) Weaponry: --She has a peculiar knife she calls "Panthalassus," which seems to be a very old hunting or sacrificial knife made of a black metal and seems to spark vibrantly when she uses her powers (and does so occasionally even when not)--she seems to use it as a way to direct her abilities. --A wooden practice sword Equipment:--Panthalassus --Always tries to keep bamboo and Petri dishes on her --Usually has rudimentary surgical tools Other Details Skills: She's medically trained, she's also got a good mind for biochem and general chemistry, has some fencing experience, and has recently been learning to dance. Vehicle: Has an old 1984 Triumph Bonneville. Other Possessions:-- A peculiar amuletKarma: Neutral Good Abilities Power/s: --Life Drain: All of her powers draw off of the direct life power of organisms, and while she can use her own this is essentially a last-ditch scenario. Most of the time, she takes the energy from nearby lifeforms and uses that to fuel her powers. Plants, funguses, and bacteria (highly concentrated) are her most common. She can take energy from animals, but the creatures are usually small and unintelligent, cats being about the extent of that power; proportionately animals provide the most life force. A human can willingly allow her to take energy from them, but the moment they become unwilling (consciously or no), it cuts her off. The smaller the organism, the more likely it is that taking energy will kill it--she tries to avoid taking too much from larger organisms to keep it alive (e.g. trees). --Telekinesis: Self-explanatory, she can use life energy to lift objects or people, the more energy the larger the object and/or the longer the time. --"Witch's" fire: An oddly-colored green-yellow fire. Seems to more or less be normal fire, just capable of moving without an obvious fuel source (guess what the source is). --Wards: Can guard those behind the ward from damage, can be small, brief wards, or sustained large ones. Size and duration affect energy drain, as well as the intensity of the attack being held off. --Healing: Can utilize life energy to heal wounds. A favored method of hers is to use the subject's own energy to do the healing, so long as they are willing and not on death's door of course. --The Fog: A recently discovered ability she's still toying with. So long as it is sustained, an obscuring fog covers an area, in which senses of direction are scrambled. So far, she has discovered it takes little energy, but is difficult to control beyond small patches and she herself is vulnerable to it. --(Side-effect) Mental attunement: Whenever she drains energy from an animal, she starts taking on aspects of that creature in her head until that energy has been depleted. Humans don't really affect her any (as far as she knows), but if she drains from a cat she will become extremely moody and selfish, or an ant colony would make her very intent on improving whatever she considers her 'hive' (and even more single-minded than usual). --Failed experiments: A great deal of her powers have been untapped, and her efforts to improve the healing aspects has uncovered several useless or uncontrollable ones. The most famous is the "bone hedge," which began overgrowing several areas, including graveyards, a while back. Most of these are side-effects when tampering with corpses (mostly small animals), and might be similar in nature to the mental attunement, though she hasn't been able to find patterns. Strengths and weaknesses: Strengths:--Versatile power set --Very intelligent with medical training --High upper limit to her powers' strengths Weaknesses:--Requires 'fuel' sources --Power strength reliant on available energy --Once an area is depleted of usable organisms, her powers are rendered inoperable --Can potentially kill herself or an ally if careless with power draw --The mental attunement issue can be problematic in certain situations Personality: Esprit is a private person, even by super hero/villain standards, usually preferring to sit back and assist other heroes while they take the limelight. When cornered she's talkative enough and, while hardly the life of the party, she's friendly and accommodating, but will usually attempt to slip away when she gets the chance. She's an intellectual first and foremost, and generally is either doing her real-world job or doing research with her fellow heroes, especially focusing on attempts to use her abilities for medical purposes. Often times she will skip meals out of pure forgetfulness, being so engrossed in something that she simply forgets, and when so focused she can be difficult to distract. She lives by the doctor's motto, "First, do no harm," but due to her powers' nature of first doing harm, she has amended that to "do as little harm as possible." Perhaps because of this, she has grown to treat her powers much as one would a leashed tiger: with great respect. The media has been very hostile towards Esprit, and with good reason: for a time, she was considered a villain. Mind, this wasn't out of any malice or even specifically thieving habits, but rather she started doing a series of experiments on cadavers (mostly animal, but some human from natural causes) in the hopes of bringing them back to life. She failed at that, but when they were reburied parks and graveyards across the city began experiencing horrific bone-plant hybrids which grew uncontrolled. To this day she has no idea how it happened, but it took a great deal of time for her to be even made aware of what was happening, so focused was she on her experiments. The heroes in the area eliminated the "bone hedge" and, when they confronted her, she was horrified and after a great deal of conversation she agreed to perform any further experiments under hero supervision (or at least with their foreknowledge). She has since become a little more traditional of a heroine, helping people whenever she isn't tucked away, but her poor publicity has made things difficult for her. Most of the time, she appears in conjunction with other heroes, and attempts have been made to improve her image over time, with some success. Unfortunately, some media sources just point to the damage of her powers and keep banging the villain drum.

General Information Alias: The Great Mundini Nicknames: Mundini Gender: Male Appearance Height: 1.8 metres Weight: 74.8 kilograms Eye Color: Dull blue Hair Style: Party in the front, short in the back and sides Hair Color: Dark brown, almost black Facial Hair: Clean shaven Skin Color: White Build: slender, tall, his suit fits very close to his frame Distinguishing Features: excellent posture, almost never seen slouching. His costume is obviously outlandish for street attire. His well cleaned suit, and excellent posture is at contrast with his overly messy hair. Costume: A very clean well pressed suit (like below), as well as the masquerade mask at the top of the character sheet. His spiky un-groomed hair brushes over the top of his mask, but barely obstructs it from view. Weaponry: He's occasionally known to carry a thin black cane which goes up to his waste, though the cane is merely a cylindrical tube, a small sword is hidden within, though the handle does not deviate from the rest of the structure (which may be somewhat uncomfortable). Equipment: Other than what was mentioned above, a pocket watch. Other Details Skills: Some self taught skills with a sword, fair agility. Excellent people skills, and incredibly manipulative. Master escape artist, knows several dozen "magic" tricks including hypnotism Karma: Neutral Evil (For both of my characters I'm using the expanded alignment sheet, rather than the traditional fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2014/078/2/f/the_office_alignment_chart_by_dogpersonthing-d7asyf3.png ) Abilities Power/s: Upon gazing into the eyes of Mundini a victim will find themselves face to face with the thing they fear most, his face will manifest itself as their true fear. In addition to this Mundini has the ability to hypnotize some individuals simply by looking at them for a few moments, or through other methods. Strengths and weaknesses: His relative agility can make him surprisingly slippery at times, and he's well known for being a master escape artist. Typically Hypnotism can only be performed on a willing participant, but Mundini has the ability to hypnotize some unwilling "participants." His ability to conjure fear in his enemies is only as strong as the power that fear has over its victims. His ability to conjure fear through eyesight was originally seen as a curse by him, anyone who can see his eyes, and the majority of his face will find themselves stricken with fear, and this makes life outside of crime for Mundini quite difficult, which has required him to stay reclusive in order to stay anonymous. His hypnotism is limited by how strong of willpower the victim has, about half of the average joes on the street would be susceptible to this. Kryptonite: Bullets Personality: Mundini has fairly simple goals, he wants power. Not in the form of money (though his schemes may suggest otherwise), but rather in the form of influence, and has commanded a sizable group of henchman to do his dirty work. Mundini is rarely observed unless he's pulling a scheme, or working in his burlesque club, and therefore has somewhat of a media presence due to his easily recognized henchman, though little is known about his criminal organization. He quite embodies the "neutral evil" karmic scheme in that he cares little about his purposes, or justification outside of his self-serving attitude. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Information Alias: Gatisila Nicknames: The Hindu Vigilante Gender: Male Appearance Height: 1.65 metres Weight: 65.7 kilograms Eye Color: Dark Brown Hair Style: Thick, short, and slightly groomed (not scene with mask) Hair Color: Light black Facial Hair: Light stubble, though sometimes shaven. Skin Color: Light brown Build: Lean, and short Distinguishing Features: Standing at only 1.65 metres (approximately 5 ft 5 in) Gatisila is incredibly short for his age, and can really stand out in this manner, obviously when he's wearing his costume he's somewhat more outlandish, although while in public, he'll usually take off the mask, and blend in with his hoodie. Costume: (as seen in the above image) his costume is fairly simple and contains a brown hoodie, dark grey jeans, and a black mask Weaponry: two grey metallic billy clubs he keeps on a utility belt along his waist. As well as an all black Beretta 93R Equipment: A utility belt containing his two lightweight billy clubs, a pouch for his lighter, and holster for his pistol. Other Details Skills: Great agility, and very light on his feet. Gatisila is well equipped to use his billy clubs quickly efficiently and dangerously. He is well known to deploy a mix of martial arts that he has been honing since he was a kid. Vehicle: A black, and orange KTM RC8R 01 street bike. Other Possessions: N/A Karma: Lawful Impure (For both of my characters I'm using the expanded alignment sheet, rather than the traditional fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2014/078/2/f/the_office_alignment_chart_by_dogpersonthing-d7asyf3.png ) Abilities Power/s: Simply put Gatisila can manifest the materials he touches in his own body, including objects of any state of matter (though he has yet to figure out how to control liquids, gasses, or whatever fire is without it killing him) Strengths and weaknesses:Gatisila's body can become as strong or weak as the material he comes in contact with, which he utilizes fully when in a tight spot. Currently Gatisila is limited to manifesting only one material at a time, and that material takes over his entire body (except for his internal organs, and eyes). while his skin, bone and muscle change to the material he comes in contact with, his internal organs remain underneath, and enough pounding through the material could cause serious damage to these organs. Kryptonite: Bullets Personality: Though it would be ignorant to call him down right evil, Gatisila believes in doing what's right by any means necessary, and typically this is misconstrued others as being the "evil" thing to do, in the beginning of his career he focused on the major injustices rather petty crimes, or armed robberies. Though currently he merely believes in creating order through larger over-arching schemes, he believes less in helping the common man, and more in bringing up society, and constantly grapples with his own moral system, and that of his counterpart Mundini. Mentally Gatisila is more vulnerable than the average joe, and can be influenced if someone knows what makes him tick. His presence is fairly well known, and documented as he has been on the scene for several years now, though the public is split on how to view him, many remember the old Gatisila who fought directly for the greater good, and was quite selfless, but many look to the now, and a see a true villain, someone worthy of scorn, who's methods to radical, and sometimes just irrational, they see someone who isn't truly striving for the greater good, but someone who is also not self serving, a true enigma of vigilantism.

General Information Alias: Spitfire Nicknames: Spitfire Gender: Female Appearance (If applicable, if not just explain why this can’t be seen, e.g: Hair is covered by helmet, ect) Height: 6'0 Weight: 65 kilograms Eye Color: Blue Hair Style: Ponytail, usually. Hair Color: Dark Brown Facial Hair: N/A Skin Color: Lightly tanned. Build: Athletic Distinguishing Features: Not the most feminine person, she works as a mechanic. Costume: A loose fitting flight jumpsuit, says Spitfire on the back, and has a layer of material that regulates her body temperature. Weaponry: None Equipment: A Watch. Other Details Skills: Good with machinery, trained in boxing and mixed martial arts, is quite good at doing tricks with her balisong. Vehicle: Modified 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake Other Possessions: Whatever is in her apartment, nothing really worth mentioning. Karma: Chaotic Good Abilities Power/s: Fire and Heat Manipulation, Psychometry. The heat manipulation has limitations. The hotter she wants an object to go, the colder her body gets, and vice versa for cooling an object. It's 20:1 C for touch, and 10:1 for the first 10 metres, and then 1:1 for 10 onwards. Fire is also limited. The flames cannot go further than 10 metres, and even then they are only licking the target. Psychometry has limitations, too. Spitfire cannot go back further than 10 years, give or take, and of course, she has to touch the object. Strengths and weaknesses: Fiery temper, short range in her capabilities, not the best defence, can potentially kill herself with her power. Personality: Spitfire is for the most part benevolent. But her approach can be blunt. She's very prone to kicking down doors, and beating criminals into submission. That's not to say she won't look around for an easier way to handle the target. Her trust in the government is somewhat lacking, finding their response to everyday circumstances taking too long, but she doesn't oppose it. Spitfire, in the media, is seen as a loose cannon, prone to unnecessary violence. She attempts to not pay attention to the media, and focuses on her life. Spitfire's lucky enough to have her personal life seperate from her superhero life, and therefore she doesn't receive attention from the public, and that's the way she plans to keep it. The public don't pay that much regard for Spitfire, and there is only speculation that she has any actual powers.

General Information Alias: Old Man Trouble Nicknames: Grandpa Gender: Male Appearance Height: 5’3 Weight: 120lb Eye Color: Blue Hair Style: Bald Hair Color: White Facial Hair: Clean shaven Skin Color: Caucasian Build: Slight, spry, and carrying a slight beergut. Distinguishing Features: He is incredibly fit and able bodied for a geriatric. Nothing to do with powers. Just a combination of regular exercise and great genes. Costume: A suede leather body suit in a shocking shade of electric blue, emblazoned with a white skull on the chest. Worn with orange briefs on the outside (he’s a traditionalist like that). Weaponry: Nothing but his fists. Equipment: Nothing. Thanks to his unusual powers, he is practically incapable of carrying anything made from metal, stone or plastic. Other Details Skills: Semi-professional wrestler, excellent memory, fluent in both Spanish and Korean. Vehicle: He can’t drive. He takes the bus. Other Possessions: None Karma: Chaotic Neutral Abilities Power/s: Tactile Destructo-kinesis. In simple terms, he can break any inorganic substance by physical contact. His body generates an atomic diassociation field which when channelled via touch, can destabilise the molecular bonds of practically any object. The effect is relative to the force applied. For example, touching the metal bars of a prison would loosen the bars a little. Punching the bars would break them entirely. The old man can make walls look like swiss cheese with a few good jabs and take a door off its hinges with a hard shove. With a big enough running jump, this guy can run through brick walls and slice a car in two by leaping on it. The power of tactile destucto-kinesis allows him to seemingly exhibit serious physical strength without actually being strong – everything he touches just gets weaker. Strengths and weaknesses: His biggest strength is the defensive capabilities of his powers. Whilst not immune from injury, things like bullets and knives harm him to a much lesser degree (nasty flesh wounds) because they tend to shatter or fracture on impact. His biggest weakness is the fact that his powers don’t turn off. He is incapable of using guns, phones, computers or even driving a car for the simple fact that all of these things would break in his hands. Secondly, his powers don’t work on organic material. When it comes to punching people, he’s got as much strength as an old man in good shape. For this reason, he relies on collateral damage to take out his foes. Sometimes it’s just not practical or same to punch down a lamppost/wall. So instead he’s forced to fall back on skill and guile. Lastly, the Old Man has no defence against fire or electricity. His kryptonite is technically wood, seeing as its organic and therefore not breakable. Personality: Foul mouthed. Grouchy. Judgmental. And just a little bit heroic. Look out Detroit. Here comes Old Man Trouble... Old Man Trouble is arrogant and self-centered, focusing almost solely on his own pleasures. In true chaotic neutral spirit, he does what he wants when he wants just because it seemed like a good idea at the time. But the old guy likes the image of being a hero with principles, so he proudly lives up to all promises - but always no more or no less than what he promised. He's a cigar chewing, showboating, muscle flexing glory-hound who is in the superhero business purely for the glory – to be a face and a name. Whilst striving to make the world a better place, he does so in a way that reflects the values of a truly chaotic neutral viewpoint. Every good deed is only done providing there's no booze, games or girls to provide a distraction. He will decide which criminals to take down on a whim based on his own likes and dislikes. Usually some young punks mugging old ladies than big city tycoons. Despite his considerable destructive power, the media treat Old Man Trouble as more of a figure of fun than a serious superhero. He is far more likely to be covered in the “and on a lighter note” section than on the front page. This is something which makes Old Man Trouble more than a little bitter, and he’s not the sort of guy to leave his anger in a bag with his civilian clothes. He's also not too bright and doesn't take the time to consider his actions. His intellect - along with his age - is one of many reasons this old timer carries a chip on his shoulder, but the patronising media's condescending attitude for a "senior citizen superhero" is slowly but surely pushing old man trouble from anti-hero to mercenary... A tragically misunderstood man in a world that's passing him by, Old Man Trouble starts with the best of intentions but his quick temper and ego make it all too easy to act rashly. Like most of his generation, he is openly critical and cynical of the government. But he’ll defend institutions like the police and the army to the hilt.
