“Hm… I suppose that’s true…” Jimmy has uttered in response to her size issue. He almost wanted to see her attempt to shoot his rifle now, just to see her struggle with it. Still He supposed she could always use a shotgun or something if she ever needed the extra firepower. The pistol was fine, but sometimes you needed an extra bang for your buck. At least that’s how Jimmy had always seen it. Jimmy leaned back against the bar and watched the Mormon flaunder in the crowd.
As she told him about there being more than one way to play cards, he chuckled at her. “Very true.” He nodded shortly, folding his arms across his chest. There was a broad smirk as she seemed to lose his point about people making assumptions. With good humour, he gave her a chuckle as she appeared to blush rapidly so. Her red cheeks almost reminded him of the dye he used to colour his hair. “No, we couldn’t have that, no siree!” he grinned with playful eyes.
With the mention of ‘sexy nuns’, Jimmy rubbed his cheek, pondering on the concept. “Ohhh that would be something to stumble across wouldn’t it…” he wondered. “Though knowing the wasteland they’d probably just end up being secret psychopaths and black widows.” He added, giving something of a snort. Still he toyed with the idea in his head. Shame what he said about them would end up being true. Riley was already three feet away from him when he realised she’d gotten up and wandered off after the holy man. “Hey, uh, wait up lady.” He said quickly following after her.
By the time he got close, the two were already talking. Jimmy, having got caught behind one of the girls going off to the bar missed whatever the guy said about him. He ultimately ended up by Riley’s side and he looked over at William. “‘ey buddy, what brings you to the local watering hole?” Jimmy smirked. “Ohhh… Maybe someone sent him to make sure I was being decent with you Riley.” He smirked carrying on the joke from before. Giving a look around the bar he then nodded to the people he knew as a goodbye, before looking back at William. He knew why the guy was there, that much was true. He was gonna give them company on the way back. Though he was a little unsure as to why he hadn’t left with them. Maybe the holy man had been stuck in a conversation with his god or something. To Jimmy the idea of a religion was a childish comfort, not that he ever was gonna tell the man. He liked William, he seemed like good people. Jimmy wasn’t the kind of fella to insult a guy needlessly though. He just watched him with smirk. “Perhaps we should get him out of here before he realises that the girl upstairs is giving him the eye.” Jimmy smirked, using his thumb to point over his shoulder at one of the brothel’s girls looking down upon them from the hand rail.

Riley was about to point out the Followers patch on her shoulder when Will noticed Jimmy. Compared to the beige of her jacket, the patch did blend in more so she wasn't surprised that he didn't notice her straight away, plus she was still fairly new in the fort. His comment made her realize how few people actually had a piece on them in the fort. 'They take this pacifist thing way too seriously if they're willing to put themselves in danger like that.' she thought to herself.
"Please Jimmy, if you weren't being decent you'd have a black eye and a broken nose." she laughed. Riley could take care of herself for the most part, and that included punching the lights out of anyone who thinks they can get friendly with her. She was starting to get used to his humor though, and didn't blush this time. "And it looks like we have another man after my own heart. Name's Riley." she smiled at Will and held her hand out as she always did. She was happy someone else had the same idea as her and Jimmy when it came to using guns. "While we might not need you to protect us, you're welcome to walk back with us. Although I have a feeling you'll be following us out anyways."
She looked up to where Jimmy had pointed, noticing the girls watching them. "If we don't leave soon, Jimmy here may have to distract them for us." she smirked, trying to get back at him for his earlier comment.

((Super sorry for the wait))
Will blinked a moment, catching sight of Riley's Followers patch as he refocused his attention on her while Jimmy approached. He mentally swore to himself, and determined to be more perceptive. He was usually quite good at that, but today he had messed up.
He took Riley's hand, shaking it as Jimmy's comment sunk in. He had a firm grip, and a calloused hand from labors. But he didn't pay much attention to that, too busy turning as red as a tomato. A blush crept up from his cheeks to his ears when he noticed the woman, and he shot her a quick glance. He cleared his throat, dropping Riley's hand. "Right, let's go then. We wouldn't want to leave Jimmy alone in this den of..." He didn't finish the trail of thought ,deciding it best not to offend the owners of the building. "Let's go." He muttered instead, heading for the door.
He glanced up at the woman again, shaking his head and chiding himself for his blush as he opened up the door to reveal the Nevada sky once more. A few people were walking along the cracked street, but it was a fairly quiet moment in the typical busy day on Freeside.
William scanned around however, carefully taking note of who was around. His first day here, he had almost been mugged. 'Not eager for a repeat of that' He thought to himself, leaning against the wall of the Atomic Wrangler while he waited for the two Followers to come on out.

“Oh would I now?” He grinned in response to her joking threat, before giving her an appreciative nod. “I’ll have to keep that in mind if I ever decide to try my luck…” With a chuckle, he watched her interaction with Will. He looked between then with an eyebrow raised. When they shook hands, Jimmy fidgeted a bit. He was ready to get going, since this was his last job for the Followers… at least in the Mojave anyway. He wanted to get the job over with, though he was amused at Will’s reaction to the prostitute looking down at them. A grin pulled at Jimmy’s lips as he looked up and waved at the girl acknowledging her.
When they spoke about him having to distract the women, Jimmy laughed. “Oh that would be truly, truly awful.” He spoke in mock disappointment, but then he chuckled. He knew he wouldn’t mind distracting the ladies for a while. He shook his head getting the thought out of his head. “But yeah, after you two I guess.”
Jimmy waited for both Will and Riley to step out into the Freeside streets. He took a moment to look around the place, stopping still for a moment. It was weird, knowing that this would be his last memory of the Atomic Wrangler. He’d worked there quite a few times since arriving in the Mojave. Now it was kind of sad to leave. There were quite a few people in there, both regulars and employees, who he’d gotten to know. He knew it’d be the last time he’d see any of them. With a small sad smile, he turned to the door and followed the two out.
As he stepped into the street, he noticed the large sign of the Silver Rush across the street. He’d never been inside, if he was honest, he didn’t like the look of the guy on the outside, nevermind whoever was in. Though having seen the sign, he remembered the map he had in borrowed from the caravaners. They would pass by Reno on the way north. Reno was much a haven for scum and villainy, much like Vegas in that respect. Still, it was the last taste of proper civilisation before whatever the small towns scattered about Oregon. Whether they’d stop in the city, or just skirt along the edges long enough to resupply was anyone’s guess. It was probably a topic for a future conversation no doubt. He rubbed his chin with a gloved hand, looking over at Will as he looked around the street. “Thugs don’t tend to come down this way… The kings are just down the street at the crossroads, and the Van Graff’s have the place locked down… Plus the wrangler has it’s fair share of goons ready to take out any would-be thugs. You’re safe… for now. And if not, I’m sure Riley will protect ya.” Jimmy teased as he turned in the direction of the fort.

While she may have been there for a month, the Wrangler wasn't a source of any lasting memories for Riley and so she went outside without reminiscing. Besides, why stay clinging to the past when she had a future planned out. She waited outside with Will quietly, unsure what to say to the preacher. She was open to discussions but she didn't know enough about this odd figure in the sky to start one. Sure she'd read a few old books about science, how stars were balls of gas that were really far away and that the earth moved around the sun. Simple things. But a man watching them? Letting them die and fight and scavenge? Obviously the books you read affected your perception of the world.
When Jimmy mentioned she'd be able to protect Will she grinned and threw an arm around the younger man's shoulders. "As long as he doesn't mind being protected by a pint sized lady." she teased, soon after patting his shoulder and removing her arm in case it made him feel uncomfortable. "So where to next Will? Got any plans for the day or the future?" Riley asked. The idea of traveling soon made her curious about other people's life plans.
((Sorry for the long wait, been adjusting to work))

Will coughed a bit at the arm around his shoulder, balling a hand up into a fist and coughing into it. "I most certainly do not mind help from a 'pint sized lady', but if Jimmy is correct then there's nothing to worry about." He squinted up at the sky for a moment, as if he was trying to check if the sun was still there- or as if he was just trying to look somewhere else. "As to where we're going to next? The Fort obviously. You two need to pack yourself your supplies and equipment, and I need to talk to a few of the folks who have been attendin' my sermons, make sure they know that I'm going."
He paused, gathering his thoughts for a moment. "As for the future? I learned long ago Miss Riley not to plan that out. It's as the Lord wills. All I can do is protect myself as best as I can, and those who are with me."
With that, he set off down one of Freesides roads, heading towards the fort. His eyes briefly flashed over a group of children cutting up a rats corpse, but he wasn't perturbed. "Rat's good eatin'." He'd comment as they walked by, "Will hold you over for a while. Just hope they take it to a fire to get it cooked, otherwise they might come down with something. My Father always had a word for it, can't very well remember it now." He gave a shrug of his shoulders.
"Since you two seem to at least have caught up with eachother, and since we'll be travelling together and I'd prefer not to be the odd man out, feel free to ask me a few questions. I'll answer if I can."
As he finished speaking, they'd reach the open gates of the Old Mormon Fort. Will paused for a moment to place a hand over his heart in salute at the plaque, showing respect for the ancestors that had come through this gate before him.

Jimmy quietly looked between the two as they interacted. Following behind he paid them some attention, though he did look off down towards the strip. He’d only been through the gates a couple of times, and whilst the place was certainly pretty, he was quite glad to see the back of it. His eyes lingered on the spire as it came into view down the long straight road into the city. Up there… somewhere was Mr House, forever looking down upon his kingdom, awaiting another NCR and Legion war. He wouldn’t be surprised if the two came to claw at the gates once again. Frowning somewhat, Jimmy turned back to the two, listening to their conversation.
There was a brief bit of confusion at Will’s response to Riley’s question. So the guy was leaving too huh? Where was he going? Jimmy gave him a shrug. “Yeah, we better get a move on if we wanna hit the safe house before nightfall. I can’t imagine either of us wanna be out in the dark around those mountains. The Vipers have a few camps dotted about the place.” Jimmy told Riley as the three walked together. “Of course we’ve gonna make a run to Mick and Ralph’s… but we’ll do that on the way out. I figure we can head there and then circle around the ruins passing around North Vegas Square. Might make our journey a bit longer, but it’s probably safer than walking through the freeside with all our stuff.” They wouldn’t need to get an awful lot of food, as the Followers kept the safe house supplied. They’d be able to supply there with food and water. Ammo and equipment was really what they needed.
As they past under the ruined bus used as a divider between the two halves of Freeside, the fort came into view. Jimmy was pretty relieved to see the place, though his eyes followed Will’s as the Mormon caught a look at a couple of urchins. “That used to be me back in Boneyard. We used to make little charms out of the bones see if we could sell ‘em to folk. Though not many people want charms made out of rat bones.” Jimmy snorted a bit. “I bet it’s the only thing they can really eat over here. Followers can’t feed all the homeless kids that live here, not with the NCR citizens taking up all the food nowadays.” He added bitterly.
After watching the kids work, he moved onwards after them. He quickly raised an eyebrow at Will, realising he was going to travel with them, at for a short while. “Oh, we haven’t really caught up. Riley and I, we uh, only just met earlier today. But uh. How long do ya think you’ll be with us? I mean I plan on going all the way up to the high desert. Got a few rumours they could do with some help up there. So you’re more than welcome to join us, if ya want.”
The three kept walking until they arrived outside of the fort. Jimmy noticed Will’s little moment in front of the plaque. With slight understanding, not much, but enough, Jimmy looked between them. “I’ll uh, leave ya too it. Gonna go gather my things. Riley, you wanna go hand in what you got from the Garrets? We’ll meet back out here.” He left before either of them had a chance to answer. After taking a brief moment to readjust the rifle on his back, Jimmy walked off and disappeared into his former home.

Will's response to her question got a small laugh out of Riley. "You've still gotta plan to do something. Otherwise you'll be stuck in the same place all you life. In this case, you're planning to come with us." she explained. No sense in letting some man in the sky decide where you go and when. Even if he was there, what if he never talked, gave you a place to go next? That wasn't the life for her, waiting on someone else's commands. She liked keeping her fate in her own hands.
She nodded in agreeance with Jimmy. While she was fine helping people who needed it, letting them get grabbed for their equipment was not the form of charity she went by. "I wouldn't know. Had gecko a couple times but never had to try rats yet." Riley commented when they went past the children. She had been lucky enough to avoid having to even try it for the sake of curiosity and let alone having to eat them on a regular basis. Even gecko was still odd to her after eating mostly big horner, brahmin, and vegetables. The occasional pre-war food too. Living in the NCR capital had it's perks.
Riley would let the younger man answer Jimmy's question while she thought up one of her own. "Ya I'll get it to them." she smiled at Jimmy as he went into the fort, then motioned Will to follow her in as well. "So where are you from? You did something at the plaque so I'm guessing it's got to do with the people who used to live here." she asked as she walked over to the drop off area. She figured they'd do plenty of talking during their travels, but he'd asked for questions.
