Just a quick check to see if anyone would be interested. I had a Killer in mind and thought it might be worth using in a role play.

Somewhat. I wasn't aware it had any real plot behind it, but I've watched the streams and the Youtube videos. Dark and creepy atmosphere. Several survivors. Monstrous antagonist attempted to sacrifice people to the dark gods. Etc.

Monstrous antagonist attempted to sacrifice people to the dark gods. Etc. It doesn't really have a plot, per se, but there is lore for it. It will help you understand the basic mechanics of the game and thus this RP. www.deadbydaylight.com/manual/lore/I do not intend on using any of the Killer's in the actual game, but one that I invented here: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/6engf1/new_killer_idea_the_shadow/

Okay. Do you want to wait for any others to join or do you just want to get started? I was intending to play the Killer, but I can be one of the Survivors as well. Ideally, we'd want to match the game with 4 Survivors and 1 Killer, but we can play multiple rolls, if we have too. You can control the Survivors and I control the Killer, or you control two Survivors and I control the Killer and two other Survivors.
You can make your own characters or use one of the characters from the game itself. I'd prefer if we could avoid using Laurie Strode, Michael Myers, or Bill from L4D.

I'd say we try to wait for two more, but nothing hurts starting on characters now. You'll probably have to create a survivor and if possible I'd prefer to use only one, seeing as an RP where you control the majority of the (non-antagonist) characters is quite pointless, but I can probably do two if we get a third and need to fill the gap. I'll definitely create original characters, already have a decent idea for one. Also I feel that it should be mentioned, I think in this particular RP it won't last if there are only the two of us. Regardless of how many people, this is an RP so it won't play out extremely similar to the game, I feel that for the most part it will be stages of player interaction, occasionally interrupted by the antagonist until things start to heat up with character deaths and the progression of their escape. We just need to make sure we pace it right.

I say we create our characters so that we have that done at least and see what happens from there.

Name: Maria Mei Feng Gender: Female Age: 21 Appearance: I imagined her more or less like this, except with black hair.Description: To an outside observer, Maria seemed an ordinary girl living an ordinary life, which she was for the most-part. However from a young age she developed a keen interest in the occult. Stories of the strange and supernatural peaked her curiosity, and the girl would spend hours researching these mysterious happenings online and in books. After she finished highschool, Maria was undecided what she wanted to do with her life, whether it be studying at a university or the pursuit of her passions, and eventually settled on work. Between her job delivering pizzas around the city of New York and other odd-jobs, she was able to save up a tidy sum, and by her nineteenth birthday she was ready to leave home to travel. She spent a year with family in China before returning to the United States, eventually heading in-land in search of mystery. And mystery was what she found, when her love of the occult eventually drew her to the town of Weeks. She disappeared shortly after. When Maria first awoke in The Entity’s domain, she was enthralled. There was a world where her fascinations were more than just fantasy, but reality. It was not to last however, eventually the cold and the running took their toll. The excitement of the escape faded and the horror and pain of being caught became too familiar. Maria has lost track of how long she’s been stuck in The Entity’s realm, weeks? Months? Still, she presses on, pushing herself as far as her legs will take her in hope that one day it will end. One way or another.

SURVIVOR Name: Drake Littleton Gender: Male Age 25 Bio: A photographer and self-proclaimed paranormal investigator, Drake made a habit out of going into dark and sinister places. Throughout high school, he would venture out into supposedly haunted places and record whatever he could find. He has seen (or thought he has seen) some horrible things and has grown adept at running out of places in the middle of the night. His latest foray has given him results that he could have never dreamed of...nor would have wanted to. He now belongs to the Entity and is a new pawn in the parasitic nature of its game. His ability to get out of places may prove to be useful when navigating the horrors of the Fog. KILLER Known As: The Shadow Real name: Charmaine Von Brandt Gender: Female Age: Immortal due to the Entity Appearance: I envision her looking very similar to Eve Belduke, except her eyes are red and she is covered in shadows that leak off her like ink on water. - i.imgur.com/qDhWbhE.pngBio: Charmaine Von Brandt was born into wealth and power. Her family were proud and arrogant aristocrats of London, her father a wealthy Baron who built the great Von Brandt Castle. There were early signs of something sinister about Charmaine. As a youth, she took great pleasure in dissecting insects and small animals in the lab of her uncle, a scientist who resided within the castle. As an adult, she enjoyed hunting for sport, with her aides quickly talking of her love to watch animals die. The suffering of her victims, it was said, seemed to energize, as she was never more lively after watching a living creature writhe and squirm as its life faded. During her studies, she read many works of philosophy, where there were books and books dedicated to the mind and soul of man. Being a woman of science, however, she sought to investigate the soul directly. Using her family's position and wealth, she had prisoners and rejects of society brought to her uncles laboratory. The servants soon began whispering of screams echoing in the bowels of the castle and began to grow pale when tasked with venture down below to the lab. Eventually, the Royalty, as well as the public, began to suspect sinister going ons at the Von Brandt Castle, and a team was sent to investigate one night. Only two men returned. The Von Brandts, as well as the servants had been slaughtered. Only Charmaine had been found, standing over her disemboweled uncle, her father's sword in her hand. According to the tales, she pleasantly smiled at the men and said, “How fortunate. I had just run out of subjects.” A larger militia was organized, but upon return, they found the Castle ablaze. The ruins were searched, whereupon they found several dissected and mutilated bodies in the chambers deep within the castle. A manhunt was launched for Charmaine Von Brandt, but she was never found nor heard from again. The Von Brandt Castle, meanwhile, stands abandoned, with locals calling it 'damned'.

Okay, I think it's safe to say that no one is going to join us. If we're going to do this it'll have to just be the two of us.

Well, we'll just have to make do then, should probably have a couple of NPCs though, just to give us something more to interact with and something to sacrifice for tension.
