Right! So, I've been informed by Immortal that based on the group, and how they'd have access to it, certain vehicles would be acceptable. I'm thinking about giving the Guards Jeeps. They'd be used only when speed is a complete necessity, and even then it'd be told to the drivers that getting the Jeeps back to base is a priority, or destroying them if they're about to be captured by the enemy. I'm thinking...no more than eight, or six of these jeeps, only two or three being armed with a machine gun, the others for transport. Manned by a small force of Guards that are trained in piloting them, and a team of mechanics that are pulled from normal duties to specially train in keeping them repaired and going. Either that, or we could go stricter to the lore and say they have a few National Guard Transport vehicles. Or both. But both would mean less of each.

Just something to remind you of - they can't be gas powered jeeps. Fossil fuel was hard for the pre-war countries to find during the Resource Wars, yet alone any post war faction. It'll have to be fueled by fusion or energy cells, which means, like with the other derelict cars that litter the wastes, that there is a threat of them blowing up in a nuclear blast by being shot too much. Perhaps the jeeps should have heavy armor plating to make up for that?
Also, what are these Nation Guard Transports? How are they different from jeeps and what benefits would the Guards have from one or the other?

Right, that had also crossed my mind.
National Guard Transports would be those army trucks you find in the Wasteland with supplies. They'd be armored to allow for troops to be carried to a location quickly, and relatively safely.
Also, ofc each of these would have more armor. That sketch was just a general idea that I found on the interwebs.

Oh! Those trucks! Like the ones around Vault 87, Smith Casey Garage and elsewhere. If we do stick close to the lore, I would like for the transports to be used in the same way, set up shop somewhere as a checkpoint, put up warning signs (not necessarily about radiation but perhaps of restricted zones) and have a bot or two guarding it. The transports can be used to navigate around important bases - if someone were to try to make a break for it and either escape out (if it is a prison complex of some sort) or sneak in, the transport can run them down and a combination of firepower from the Guards/bots can take the person out.
So yeah, I kind of like the idea of doing a mix of both. Though if you stick with jeeps only than I'm not sure what else you can do with them save just basic navigation.

I think we might stick with a few trucks, mixed with jeeps. The jeeps being used for missions requiring more speed than what a man on foot can do, and usually only used by the Advanced Riot Gear armored Guards.
