Matilda shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Why couldn't they ever keep her stationed at one position, the moving around and waiting was killer. Plus the annoying task of guard duty made her anxious for real combat.
"Oo-rah"
Matilda climbed out the back of the Warthog, and grabbed her gear, backpack and rifle. Her M6 was sitting in her holster as always.
The Corporal followed the rest of her squad, staying quiet and watching the male SPARTAN's AI, which was showing August (and the female SPARTAN) the layout of Alpha.
Once the pseudo-tour was complete, Matilda walked through the halls of Alpha to reach the barracks. First priority was to unload her gear. She just dumped her equipment on the top bunk of a bed, and then, deciding she was hungry, made her way to the Mess.
