(You can't take my thread away from me!)
The soldier boy had a hide out, and everyone seemed willing to follow him to it. Just as soon as the plan to go there was out, Captain Beck headed out the door, with the foreigner and the guy with the hockey stick following behind. Elizabeth could just as easily turned and walked away, sneaking off and letting the newfound group go off and do their own thing. But, these days, you rarely saw a person who wasn't rotting and trying to eat you, and you didn't mind spending some times with the normal ones.
Before she even made it out the door, she heard shuffling footsteps and the low moans of the undead. Worse, the originally wandering horde of about thirty were now locked onto the humans. Captain Beck had jogged along, keeping low, but the foreigner and hockey stick boy were now fighting. The sound of the shovel smacking against a target was practically a dinner bell.
"Oh, no, here comes the peanut gallery..." The Usher said to herself. She ran towards Stephanos and whacked the zombie he'd bunted with the shovel in the back of the head with her baseball bat. It was a home run as blood and flesh flew and the dead guy went down, dead...again. "Let's keep going!" She ran to catch up to Captain Beck. "I hope your safe place is a secure one because the peanut gallery have a habit of banging their way into places..."

Captain Beck groaned at the sound of the walkers. It would be very difficult to eliminate them. Difficult, but not impossible. He had guns back at his place, nothing fancy, just pistols, but it provided an able way to kill the horde.
"Double back, to the apartment complex, follow me and I can arm you. Firearms. Two Glock-17s, a Colt Python, too. Python is mine."
Captain Beck grabbed Elizabeth by the shoulder and unholstered his Glock, and put it in her hands.
