So, then. There's a lot of interest all of a sudden in a secondary D&D game and I figure I may as well start one up since I have some experience DMing and why the hell not.

{On Pathfinder}
So there's this. This is what amounts to the Pathfinder bible; Pathfinder being the particular variant of Dungeons and Dragons we will be using. A good portion of the links in that table you see (everything under the Gamemasters heading in the right half) will not be significant to you.
What you should focus on are the Basics & Ability Scores (which I'll cover in brief below), the varied Races, and the varied Classes. You don't have to read them all yet, though I'd recommend you at least skim the Basics & Ability Scores stuff. I'd also suggest you read up on a class that interests you, be it Rogue or Barbarian or Cleric. They all have names that pretty well explain what they do - fighters fight things, wizards and sorcerers cast spells, paladins are champions of goodness and justice, and so on. Read this page on races, too, see what appeals to you.
If you just want to pick something to get the hang of Pathfinder, I'd recommend you stick to a Core Class and a Core Race. Dwarf Fighter or Elf Ranger or something. I'm not going to prevent you from creating a Kitsune Summoner, but I will request that if you do so you at least know what you're getting yourself into.
If you have any questions by the time you've done this much, just ask me or Immortal or Coyote; but pretty much everything has a link that explains it, so I wouldn't worry too much. Either way, though, no question is a stupid one. Ask away.

{The Setting}
So, every D&D/Pathfinder game has what's called a campaign setting. These are similar to the Nexus' settings, in a broad sense. Campaign settings are kind of like universes that adhere to the rules of D&D/Pathfinder, but have their unique 'flavor' and vastly different worlds. It's like comparing Cyrodiil to Skyrim: They're similar, but clearly aren't the same place for a number of reasons.
So we'll be using the Forgotten Realms as our campaign setting. There's a wiki here if you want to do some light reading on the setting [spoiler: it won't be light reading], but because it's so big I'll narrow it down for you. You'll be at the very least starting here, in a region referred to as the Sword Coast. It's in the northwest of Faerun, and happens to be something of a hotspot for trade and, because of the heavy volumes of merchandise moving through the area, both piracy and banditry.
It's a magical place.

{For the Previously Initiated}
You've probably been around the block at least once. We'll be doing a Forgotten Realms RP, you'll be starting in a location which is yet to be determined in the Sword Coast region, and we'll be using Pathfinder.
If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask regardless. No question is a stupid one.
