For the nit picking, part of the job. : / He's playing a super mutant, and I like his character so long as he plays Pala Din fairly. The thread is your own show, no worries, just lending at hand as you are both new members and you did specifically call for low-level characters, and I understand your reasoning for the selection. : )
As for characters picking up new weapons and gear, that is also fine, so long as it is realistic and not a cheap way to be geared quickly. Johnny didn't randomly stumble upon a box in the middle of nowhere containing a Fat Man and 10 Mini Nukes. ( Well, you get the idea. ) Other than that stuff, have fun!
And Joshua, keep looking for a thread! Or you could make one yourself in the story planning area. Just let the other members know what kind of thread you want to write and your direction of the story. Just because Kaiden wants to run a HC style thread doesn't mean someone else wont want to join and epic style thread! : )

I wasn't talking about Eli, Forrest. Anyway let's put this behind us and start to use this as a think tank. While it would be nice to have one or two more people we can work with three. I want to start hearing everyone's ideas now. List off and ideas, questions, suggestions, or tweaks you would like to make to the groups and I will review them. We will continue this until everyone is happy with the group and the idea of it. Then we will start to decide what the first thread will be about. I suppose everyone is content on my theory on how the group meant and there are no problems, however if there still are do not hesitate to post them.
I would also like to that you once more Metawulf. I'm glad you were her and could answer about my 'upgrading' idea. As I said before all of the thoughts about upgrading I would like to be posted here so I can read them. While I realize I have no say as to if the character can get them I will have to approve it if they want to stay in the group. I am fairly strict about this kind of stuff and would not let anyone do such a thing. First off things such as a Fat Man are restricted in the and they are by no means allowed. Then even if a weapon was found just lying around it would not be that easy. I would hate for the weapon to be just 'found', but if that is what it had to be I would certainty make sure that someone came to 'recover' there weapon.
Anyway everyone start sending in all of your questions, suggestions, ideas, and tweaks. There is no longer any discussions about Red and Eli they are in. As for the rest of the group they can join in at anytime. Also for the record I would like to restate that for the time being there are only two more positions left in the group.

Well if endicott agrees to the background I agree to Red and Kaiden could be childhood friends that got split up and I assume Kaiden and Eli would run into each other one way or another. Seeing as they both are trafficking chems near New Vegas. Kaiden could have been hired to protect Eli or maybe Eli hired him to run chems instead.
As for the city they will be based in I'm not sure yet. I was thinking somewhere in north California. It doesn't have to be a town even. They could travel and camp at different locations or maybe stay at a subway for an HQ.

They won't be a whole town they are just a small drifting group of people. Anyway are there any other suggestions or what not that you want to ask or tell me about?

The thread will not be started until endicott is able to post. I still need to make sure he is comfortable with the idea of the group. I'll make sure to post the time in this thread after it is decided. Just keep checking back every so often.

Well, Kaiden is 18 and Red is 26, so it would mean that Red would've been 8 when Kaiden was born. It would be difficult for them to childhood friends, if completely impossible, considering the age gap. If Kaiden was older it wouldn't be as bad but an eight year gap means that they could not have been childhood friends. They could have met through some sort of anti-NCR protest in Freeside or something like that, since both of them seem to dislike the NCR.
Alternatively, you could just up Kaiden's age a bit, but that's asking for quite a lot.

Well, I guess they could've met in some kind of anti-NCR protest/riot, but Red would always see him as a kid due to his young age. Another thing: You say you are a fan of character development and all, yet Kaiden himself seems to be pretty good at a lot of things (e.g.:
"Training:
Trained gunman, Self taught in the concept of most small guns and energy weapons, Light training in making chems
Other Abilities: Simple first aid (grew up having to stitch wounds), Tactical commanding (Criminal Mastermind), Hacking, Simple lockpicking, Cooking")
For someone of that age, that seems like a lot. I'm not criticising, but still, for an 18 year old he seems to have lived a long and storied life. Even Red isn't that good.

You do make a point, but I was in a bit of a rush when I put the app up. First off he can just cook basic stuff he is not a chef. I could even cook whole meals before I was ten years old. As for the locking picking he isn't an expert he can pick very easy, easy, or even normal locks, however based on the lock they will take some time. Also he will only be able to pick simple doors. He won't be able to pick anything more then a standard door. Also for the first aid he can't do more then just stabilize simple wounds sew some cuts, dig a bullet out, bandage someone up. Things you would learn from reading a beginners book. The other three he is a little better at but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to learn in several years, considering the way he grew up. He is average in hacking (very easy-normal) and can't hack anything major. While commanding is a big one it is kind of in his nature. He likes taking leadership and gets a bit upset when he isn't calling the shots. For the chems he is very new and only knows the basic (such as what are dangerous solutions. The big one is the weapons however, he focused most of his early life disassembling and reassembling weapons such as knives and pistols. Also I was thinking of rping the bank robbery he was in.

With all off that out of the way I assume that everyone is done with questions and are ready to start planning out the thread. If so I was wondering if we should roleplay Kaiden meeting the other two first or just assume it has already happened. I'm okay with whatever you two would rather do. I mean more roleplaying can't hurt anything.

Also as for where the group will be based in North California. They will be North of Modoc and just to the South of Klamath. It should be noted that yhey are way closer to Klamath then Modoc, only being right across the Washington-California border. Most of the threads for the beginning of the group will be centered around Gecko, Klamath, Modoc, and New Arroyo. As I have said before though this is all up for change if someone has a better idea. Make sure to leave any ideas if you have them. Also if you want to get an idea of where this is HERE is the map |

Shouldn't be, since the thread isn't even up yet or anything. Also, kaiden, I might just change my character again (although to who you won't know until I submit them, but I think it'll work a little better than Red).

Oh well, if your still taking characters here's a new one I just got approved that should suit this idea way better.
1. Twenty (nickname, better then a eight digit serial number)
2. Has a number of logical observations about each faction but is completely neutral on them, as protectrons usually are when politics are concerned.
3. Right arm built in laser pistol, head mounted laser rifle with three times longer recharge rate, both standard issue for protectrons. His left arm also has a mini flamer built in replacing the second laser pistol, a single small tank on his back to feed fuel to the weapon. Its small size vastly lowers range, the small tank gives vastly lower ammunition and it burns slightly cooler then a normal flamer.
4. None, body can ping off light arm fire and protect it from flame, but that's about it.
5. Completely neutral.
6. Simply fire the head laser at him, giving no warning of the attack so he does not get a chance to react before having his brain deep fried.
7. Knows some programed military tactics, repair and maintenance.
8. Logical, which can often come across as smart assed and snarky. Can be reprogramed, but will fight tooth and nail to prevent that.
9. I'm a robot. Taking orders is kinda my thing, although he will point out flaws, and make calculations on the odds of success.
10. Finding ammo, energy cells, scrap metal and fusion batteries to keep myself repaired and running.
11. Modified Mk 5 Protectron
12. Did fight for the Calculator, but considering he was just one of hundreds if not thousands of protectrons under its command, its unlikely anyone held a grudge, so no on all fronts.
13. If the reward is logical to the risk. Or programed to help.
