Character Sheet:
Name: Yuki Asuna
Nicknames: Asuna, as it is polite to call a person by their last name in Fuyuki. As she has firebender ancestors and a firebender name, she usually just tells people her name is Asuna. Sometimes also called "Lighting-Flash Asuna", although Asuna doesn't care for the name, especially due to how tacky it is.
Race: Human, very very slightly firebender. Enough to make fire slightly less effective against her, but other from that, she's completely human.
Homeland: Muertia
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Appearance:
Hair Colour and Style: A mixture between orange, brown, and chestnut. Looks mostly orange.
Eye Colour: Hazel
General Appearance and Build:
Asuna is, without a doubt, quite a beautiful woman. She's rather slender, weighing in at around 53 kg. She stands at about 168 cm, or 5'6. She has rather long hair, reaching down to her hips.
Distinguishing Features: Her red and white clothes, which never fail to stand out somewhat. In addition, her sword has a red scabbard and a sort of blueish-green hilt, and is also fit with some designs. The hilt is also rounded, something that's slightly rarer in swords (Or at least, more rounded than most swords).
Equipment:
Apparel:
Asuna wears red and white clothing, having a very small amount of armour underneath. The armour isn't visible, and is made of a light amount of leather. It's cut to be invisible under Asuna's clothing, not resembling any sort of shape. It wouldn't stop much but a dagger or a sword that hits indirectly, but it helps. Although it might be a better idea to have some proper armour, Asuna prefers the speed minimal protection grants her.
Weaponry:
Asuna has a rather unique sword. It's a rapier, so it's not exactly amazing at slashing, but at the same time it's completely possible to use it for such. The unique part mainly comes from the design and appearance of the sword, namely the colour. The hilt is a light blueish-green, fit with a number of designs. It has two gems built onto either side of the guard, which itself also has some designs. The guard reaches up to the sword slightly, once again just for design. The blade is rather thin, being a rapier, it's made for stabbing. It's thick enough for slashing, however it's not ideal compared to other swords. It can be used as either a one-handed weapon or a two-handed weapon, being light enough for a one-handed, however the hilt being big enough for two hands.
Other Equipment: Nothing but money, really. Will buy things such as food if travelling at a town. She can only carry a small amount of food and other items, keeping it in a white satchel, however it manages to suffice. She also owns a necklace, which belonged to a friend who has since passed away, although she keeps it in her satchel.
Followers: N/A
Personals:
Religious Belief: Not really sure. Doesn't believe in anything particular, and doesn't really think about religion often.
Allegiance: Asuna is looking for some sort of group, and is thinking of starting one herself. However, for now, she travels from province to province without allegiance. Most of the groups she's interested in require her to wear armour, so she's been avoiding joining them.
Personality: Asuna is a relatively friendly woman, however is not afraid to stand up for herself or others. Should it come down to it, she'll fight for what she believes in, without hesitation.
History:
Asuna was born in the capital city of Muertia, Extantus, to a relatively regular family. Asuna's parents named her after their ancestors, firebenders, although they were a couple of generations back. They weren't the richest family in town, but they had enough to support themselves, with a small amount of luxury. Both of Asuna's parents worked as town guards, although they never did too much, they did get a small amount of combat experience. Asuna was inspired to follow in her parents footsteps, and although she wasn't sure if she wanted to specifically be a town guard, she did wish to become some sort of adventurer or warrior. In support, on their off time, Asuna's parents would teach her some basic combat.
Asuna's parents tried teaching her to wear armour and the like, as they did, however Asuna never liked it much. She showed her parents that she could dodge any attack that wouldn't pierce armour anyway, so it was practically just slowing her down. Asuna was 16 at the time, and she wasn't exactly the strongest teenager there was, so armour was hard to wear regardless. She became a much more agile fighter than her parents, opting for a rapier rather than a regular sword, allowing her to stab targets in quick succession.
Throughout Asuna's childhood, she had an extremely close friend, Vanesa. She didn't have anything special about her per say, but Asuna somehow made a deep connection with her. She was just about the same in most aspects, both pretty, both slender, both of an average height, they even both had long hair. Vanesa had blonde hair, however, one of the most noticeable differences. Asuna and Vanesa did almost everything together, even training, at times. Vanesa's parents were also town guards, both her and Asuna's parents being good friends. Over the years, Vanesa talked about escaping Muertia and going to see the world. Asuna had thought about it before, but was never sure if it was what she truly desired. Once she turned 18, however, Vanesa simply left. Vanesa herself was 19, perfectly capable of adventuring herself, however Asuna was still extremely worried.
Asuna started work as a town guard, although she wasn't completely committed to the job. She eventually made friends with a quirky girl by the name of Lisbeth, whom was about a year younger than her. She worked as a blacksmith. Asuna eventually requested a rapier from her, trusting in her abilities. She was given a rather heavy discount, only having to pay for what the sword costed to make. Asuna thanked Lisbeth greatly, extremely pleased with the rapier once she received it. It had a number of oddities to it design-wise, but Asuna didn't mind, as the sword itself was of an amazing quality.
Asuna quit the town guard once she turned 19, a wanderlust coming over her. She wished to follow in Vanesa's footsteps. She ordered a leather armour specially cut to be unnoticeable under a set of clothes that she had bought a few pairs of. She liked both the design and the lightweight nature of the clothes. Of course, she ordered the leather armour from Lisbeth, luckily receiving it for free, as a parting gift. Asuna said her goodbyes to her friends and family, bringing a rather small amount of equipment. She brought her clothes, her armour, her sword and a small amount of food and money. She kept things such as her food in a small white satchel, almost blending in with her clothes. It was a small amount of food and other items indeed, but it would suffice.
Asuna traveled from province to province, always keeping an eye out for Vanesa. After about 6 months of travelling, Asuna did meet Vanesa, in an inn inside of a town she was passing through. The two were overjoyed to see each other again, catching up within a few hours. The next day, after staying the inn, they decided to travel together. Shortly after leaving the town, they were jumped by bandits. They demanded money, but nor Asuna or Vanesa were willing to comply. The situation erupted into a fight, Vanesa and Asuna being outnumbered by around 4 men. It wasn't easy, but they managed to even the odds, number wise. Asuna became too cocky, accidentally giving the enemy a fatal free shot. She was rescued, at a price. Vanesa tackled her to the floor, however took the blow, a dagger now protruding out of her back. She fell to the side, off of on Asuna. Asuna rose to the ground and slaughtered the remaining two bandits, in a complete rage. She attempted to tend to Vanesa, but it was too no avail. Vanesa managed to put on her best smile, hugging Asuna as she passed.
Asuna wept over Vanesa's body for hours, not caring about the quickly fading sunlight. Luckily, Extantus was only a short trip from where the bloodbath had taken place. Asuna carried Vanesa's corpse to Extantus, burying her with Vanesa's parents. She stayed with her parents for the time being, both Lisbeth and Asuna's parents attempting to comfort her. It succeeded, mostly. Vanesa's parents gave Asuna a necklace Vanesa had worn throughout her entire life, Asuna thanking them greatly. She eventually left Extantus again, saying her goodbyes once again to her family, Lisbeth, and Vanesa's parents. She never felt right wearing the necklace, opting to keep it in her satchel instead.
Asuna has found herself in Kessig, unable to leave due to the ridiculously dangerous roads. She hopes to find a party attempting to venture out of Kessig, so that she could have some power in numbers. Since Vanesa's death, she has turned 20, still travelling wherever the wind takes her. She's been stuck in Kessig for about a month, growing tired of the place.
