Rosa came form a family who had Romanian heritage, and were very proud of it. They had a tradition that every three generations, the eldest member of the family would write down what it meant to be a Romanian. Their culture, dress and belief in the ancestors and spirits, and how they used it to scam unknowing fools out of their caps. Rosa was particularly good at the deceit, she managed to "find" a glass ball on top of a lamp post, and perfected the 'crystal ball act' so well, her grandmother wept with pride. They all had very strong Romanian accents, passed down from generation to generation. Although not all members of the family were of Romanian descent, of course in-breeding was never even considered. Instead, the additions to the family were encouraged to accept the Romanian way, and their children were always raised as Romanian.

When Rosa was 18, her mother taught her to use her, 'womanly attributes' to better effect, and Rosa began wrapping men around her little finger with ease. Rosa thoroughly enjoyed her life, she had a very enjoyable job with a large family around her that would love her and support her no matter what. They also taught her how to look after herself. To the Lupie family, guns were loud, ungainly and unnecessary. They preferred the skill and grace that only a knife could allow. They also taught her to art of concealing knives in her clothing, so she would never be helpless. Rosa did not take automatically to violence, but when her younger sister was set about by a drunken idiot, she got him in the neck from 100 paces.

One day, Rosa returned to her family home to see all of her family, and their possessions strewn about on the road-side. Thugs in dirty clothes moved to and from the house, dumping more stuff onto the street. Her father was red in the face, arguing with a an obvious superior. He said he was being payed by the owners of the casino's to check out the the building, and that he was ordered to "remove all occupants". The men of the Lupie family were very prideful, and all were reaching for various blades, before the soothing embrace of the women stopped them, they were smart enough to know if a fight started, it would turn into a blood bath.

The entire Lupie family were forced into the street, many of them were old or very young. They were forced to lee to the sewers, and the fit and young ones went out onto the street to beg and steal. This was not enough however, and the family began to starve. Rosa decided that to survive, she would have to go work at one of the casino's most likely Gomorrah. When she was walking through the sewers however, people began to act strangely. They were staring behind her, and muttering to each other. When she turned around, she was face to face with a muscled, rather brutish man, who wasn't to bad on the eyes. This was of course Richter. The bodyguard of the infamous revolutionary, The Gent. She was to be taken to see him.

She was blindfolded, and taken on a winding path that left her completely confused. When the blindfold was taken off, she was standing in front of a desk, with The Gent sitting behind it. He was all politeness, offered her food and water, and waited patiently while she wolfed it down. Then they had a conversation. The Gent had heard that her family was down on their luck. Rosa confirmed this. He also claimed to have heard it was the fault of the Casino's. Rosa spat on the floor when she heard The Gent say their names. The Gent offered her a chance of revenge. Rosa immediately agreed.

The Gent asked Rosa if the Lupie family were as good with knives as he had heard. Rosa snorted and said "No. We are better". S then proved this by completing a number of trails set by The Gent. By the end, he was beaming with pride. He claimed the Lupie family to be officially under the protection of the L.U.G., in return, Rosa must officially join and take a place on the Gents Inner Council, along with Richter and several others. Also, The Gent may come with assignments to the family, and they must complete them.

Rosa knew when she agreed that she had just signed her family on as The Gents personal guild of Assassins, but she was adamant he would use them for a good cause. If not, The Gent would learn what Lupie truly meant.

Truth is, when The Gent heard about the downfall of the Lupie family, he grasped the opportunity. The thug told them they were being paid by the casino's, the family would hate the casino's. He used this to persuade them to work for him, and Rosa being added to his inner circle was only to keep her close, sort of as a hostage if they try and betray him.
