[The Seran Family]
The Seran Family was a prestigious one, but very reclusive, it was rare for people outside the family to see the inner workings, except for servants, and people high up in the Mages Guild. They had an estate on the outskirts of Western Morrowind. Their lineage was one basked in Magicka, any school, and level, the Seran Family would've achieved it.
[Enter Modyn Seran]
Modyn Seran was born an extremely long time before the present day, in Mournhold, as his mother and father were there on business, otherwise he would've been born at the Estate. He was quite a noisy baby, but was healthy, his father made sure of that. As soon as Modyn's mother got the all-clear, they headed back to the Estate to begin raising him.
[Modyn Seran: Knee-Biter]
Modyn was quite the energetic child, always crawling, and when he learned to walk, running around everywhere. He was given the best of things. Then his education began.
[Simple Student]
Modyn's days were now devoted to education, first it started with simple Cyrodiilic, then arithmetic, then history, and then finally, Magic. He loved whenever his History and Magic lectures were on the agenda, he loved learning about the civilisations of Tamriel, their origins, and their abilities. The Snow Elves, and their fall. The Chimer, and their betrayal. The Dwemer, and their disappearance.
[Conjurer Collective]
Modyn excelled in the Conjuration school, and when he reached the age where he could leave the Estate, he left to the College of Winterhold, to study more, at a proper magical establishment. He was accepted quite easily, seeing as he could boast a great conjurational talent at his age. He studied as much as he could there, but left a few decades afterwards, as there wasn't much oversight.
[Dwemer Dweller]
As he was already in Skyrim, he decided to search the vast Dwemer ruins that dotted the landscape, he'd finally get a chance to search the dwellings of those that interested him the most. He found little in the various ruins, although he did find a sheet that translated a few words, he copied it a few times, in the case that one of them got damaged. After a few years of this lifestyle, making contacts, and other doings around Skyrim, he ventured south.
[Guild of Mages]
The Mages Guild of Cyrodiil has an order, unlike the College at Winterhold, he would benefit MORE from these Mages. He began the lengthy initiation, but it was well worth it, the knowledge he gained from here was vast, he was able to cast Adept-level Conjuration magic without tiring himself out! Modyn stayed here for almost a Century.
[The Dwemer's Fall]
Modyn began to search the Dwemer ruins of Morrowind for many decades. He found much more here, then he did in Skyrim. From what he gathered, the Dwemer were working on some sort of epic machinery, and in the process, dabbled with something that they shouldn't have, and all disappeared at once. Then the Oblivion Crisis happened.
[Fall of the Septims]
Once Modyn got the news that Uriel Septim, and his heirs, were all dead, he rushed to his family's estate, and saw it being burned to the ground, with daedra still present. He flew into a rage, adrenaline pumping through his body, he summoned a Lich and it attacked the Daedra. The Daedra all died, and Modyn began his was to the nearest city, but collapsed outside of the gates, he was brought in and healed.
[Seran Estate 2.0]
As soon as he was able to walk without falling over, he built an estate in Skyrim, in honor to his family. It wasn't much, but it was home. He lived comfortably for a decade, then went back to learn more about magic.
[Whispers]
Modyn joined the College of Whispers, a school almost devoted to Conjuration. He loved the power he got here, but left just before the Great War, to protect the interests of Haafinger. And his estate, he wasn't gonna let it burn down, again.
[Merilar's Peril]
One day, when Modyn was overlooking the road to his estate, he spotted a woman being chased by Bandits. He jumped down to help her, and they were scared away by his Flame Atronach. He used minor Restoration to heal her, and she revealed herself, and her business.
[Villa de Modyn]
After a few months of Merilar staying with Modyn, she convinced him to turn the Estate into a proper village. Modyn pulled in a few favors, and got a blacksmith, farmers, and hired devoted mercenaries as guards. They got a steady income from Hrokar's Smithing, and the Farmer's produce, and it all worked. He named the village 'Sau av Morae' which meant 'People of Wisdom', as it is what Modyn thought of his villagers.
