The year is 1187..
And the holy land is ablaze. Saladin, at the head of a mighty Saracen army, has laid waste to the armies of the Crusader States at the Battle of Hattin, and is moving swiftly to Jerusalem. The remnants of the Crusaders prepare to make their stand at Jerusalem against the Saracen, but what few realize is that while the sons of Abraham clash and create the resounding echo's of steel, an even greater threat lurks from the East, waiting to devour all that is good, and all that is bad without mercy or hesitation.
It started in China and India. Millions died. There were far too many corpses to handle, and the three kingdoms of China found themselves crumbling. Survivors fled along the Silk Road to the West, or crossed over in an attempt to reach Japan.
The disease spread with them
Soon it reached the blood soaked sands of the Middle East. And no one knew until it was too late.

Moving on. Yes, this is a Medieval Zombie Apocalypse RP, set in 1187, just before the Third Crusade and during Saladins conquest of the Holy Land. We'll be staring it at the Siege of Jerusalem.
