Green- Talladega National Forest
Blue- Pensacola Ruins/Various Independent Settlements
Purple- Vault 9/ The Meridian Raiders Locations
New Birmingham: A once beautiful city, now reduced to a skeleton of the strongest buildings in the city. Divided by the Tribals as North, East, and West. South New Birmingham is a radiated hell, Wildlife and Ghouls rule it and anyone that enters is not likely to come out. Under the city are tunnels, burrowed by the Tribals and renovated over a century. The tunnels now have metal walls and mechanical components, such as elevators, temperature control and conveniences. It is very similar to a vault, the exception being much bigger and better armed. The entire tunnel complex spans the entirety of the ruins and beyond. It is 20 levels deep and houses over 4,000 people during the Tornado seasons.
Talladega National Forest: The trees here stretch towards the sky, the radiation having accelerated and mutated growth. Very lush and green, this is probably the most beautiful area in Alabama. It also houses deadly wildlife. Drastically mutated and adapted due to the harsh weather of the Alabama Wasteland, these creatures make the Talladega National Forest a very volatile place. Caves are numerous here as well, housing some of the more, shelter based species such as RadFoxes. It is possible for humans to create a life here, but they would be assaulted on all sides by the wildlife and environment alike. There are several stealth based carnivorous plants throughout the Talladega, which is also a hazard to those who enter. The massive trees are able to withstand tornadoes and radioactive tropical storms, though the forest itself is chaos at these times.
Pensacola Ruins: The coastal city of Pensacola is mostly flooded. Constantly under siege from tropical storms and the occasional hurricane, some could speculate that it is a miracle that the city is still standing, and even a bigger miracle that people live there. The primary mode of transport in Pensacola is boat. It is common to see all kinds of boats in the Pensacola area, especially large concentrations into the docks of independent towns. Most of the settlements in the Pensacola area are built along tall standing buildings that rise over the water, or just on. These towns must prepare, because pirates are a definite threat in the region. Most independent settlements mark their own boats or trading boats. This prevents from friendly fire, but allows pirates to determine east targets. Though towns are a prime location for many people, a lot of people choose to fend for themselves. Claiming a half drowned building and setting up a defense is a common sight, a group of people may band together to keep off pirates and help each other survive. These are called Sea Bands, a group of people who aren't quite a town, but aren't alone.
Vault 9: Those who once inhabited this vault are long gone and these vicious raiders have moved in. Smarter than your average raiders, these scumbags from Mississippi have been been watching TUTA for some time and are planning their assault on New Birmingham. Living off of the supplies in the Vault and unfortunate travelers, these raiders will do anything to gain ground. Part of a larger force in Meridian, Mississippi, these raiders want all of the south in their
control. To loot and kill and rape without opposition from anyone.
