Gotchya. I guess that's what the non-canon fan fiction area is for.

Just gonna add this quote from the intelligent deathclaws wikia page (though we allow Intelligent Deathclaws, they're heavily restricted).
"However, in a later (July 10, 2002) update of the Fallout Bible, Chris Avellone denied that the intelligent deathclaws lived, writing:
BTW, the talking deathclaws were destroyed at the end of Fallout 2. Xarn and Goris did not go on to create a new species. They are gone. Kaput. Icon sic Goodbye. In fact, any mutant animal that talks can safely be assumed to have died at the end at the exact minute that Fallout 2 was over. Any last words, talking animals? I thought not."

Another question. Vehicles, completely screwed forever or could someone with a lot of time, the proper know how, and access to parts/fuel get one running again?
Apologies if this was covered in the guide, I missed it if it was.
Edit: Yet ANOTHER question! Robotic prosthesis, ok or not acceptable on characters? I figured that since prewar tech was to the level where they were making androids and cyberdogs that robotic prosthesis were in existence and not an unusual sight on amputees.
Have a character in mind that's missing a leg, just want to be sure his replacement leg wouldn't be lore breaking. If it is indeed lore breaking, I'll scrap him.

Yeah vehicles are a thing, but pretty much only the NCR has them, for their military of course. I think someone did have a vehicle a little while ago though.

Androids were invented post-war by the Institute, so only things like Protectrons, Mister Handy's and Securitrons existed pre-war in terms of robotics. Cyberdogs existed to a degree, but were more developed later on by the Big MT and the Enclave. In my mind, the only person capable of robotic prosthesis would be The Institute, but that's a very grey area, to say the least.

Huh, didn't realize that.
Looked closer, and truth be told I wouldn't even call it 'robotic', just mechanical, not grafted onto him or anything.

We had a guy with something like that, and no-one seemed to even bring it up (which I found odd). As long as it's extremely mechanical and rather bulky, you could have an implant in the brain which let you control it I suppose, but that's just speculation.

Or just have like, a normal non-scifi prosthetic leg? xD Or one made of wood or something.

We allow for vehicles, assuming you're okay breaking down a lot and their main plot device is trying to keep them running The thought behind that is the NCR has vehicles, but it takes a fleet of engineers to keep them running. As for prosthetics, yeah mechanical prosthetics are fine. Much like the most recent developments in those ways. Grafted on, probably not, but you can always cover it in bandages It'd still be quite rare. And expensive, so you'll need either the Followers, some private surgeon or be a part of the Brotherhood/Enclave.

Continuing where Dawgs left off, certain player factions have vehicles if it makes sense.

He's a part of said fleet of engineers, so if they didn't break down a lot he'd be out of work haha. He's going to be a whiz with machinery, intended for him to design the prosthetic himself but would have spent a good deal of time with the Followers undergoing physical therapy and learning to walk again with it. I'll try and get him posted today, then I'll edit him as the mods and admins require.

MOAR QUESTIONS User submitted Factions, considered canon? For example, the Oregon Republican Army, safe to assume that at this point in time they are in control of the state (or still rebelling, haven't read through all 15 or so pages of that RP yet, impressive though )?

They're in our canon, yes. The ORA are still currently at war with the NCR in Oregon, I believe, but will likely have control soon. There wouldn't be a point if they weren't in our canon.

That's what I figured, I just wanted to double check. Some sites have really whacky ways of doing things.

So, sorry for being such a question quacker, but I got one. With the Legion and slaves' children, how are they raised? Not the males, I'm aware they're brainwashed from the get-go, but are females raised by their parents or in a similar manner to the males just not for war?
