Eris sighed as she woke up bright and early as usual. She was the leader of the Apostles of Enhanced Survival, the Apostles for short. She had been quite concerned lately as it seemed several of the residents had been falling ill. The doctor was even ill, go figure. So she was doing her best to make sure everyone was eating and drinking and being taken care of. She was getting desperate at this point because all she really had was first aid training. She wasn't a doctor by any means. She would make rounds to everyone's rooms and check how they were doing. All the sick residents were basically quarantined to there rooms hoping to not get any one else sick. She shook her head sighing; chills, shaking, pale and coughing. Maybe it wouldn't have been a big deal if it wasn't so contagious. She went back to her room and got on her HAM Radio calling out "Any doctors out there, please. I am desperate. This is Eris from the Apostles of Enhanced Survival. Over half my residents have fallen ill, including our doctor. I am very limited in my medical training. Please someone come help me." she cried over the radio frequency. She wasn't going to give up although she's been keeping at this for almost two weeks.

"Holy Smokes!", Jed cried as his ghoulish frame fell down half a flight of stairs after tripping on a particularly nasty rock.
For the past day or so, he'd been on a little scavenging raid to help keep his supplies stocked, though clearly he was a getting a little rusty. Calming down, he picked himself up and moved across the hall, opening what remained of a rickety wooden door, poking his M-14 Rifle through the doorway and inspecting what was inside...
Nothing. Just rubble, burnt old books and a skeleton sitting on the chair. Jed, jokingly, tipped his helmet to the blackened skeletal figure on the chair, acting as though he was quietly creeping out the door.
"Sorry to bother you, sir... Heh heh heh...", he mumbled, moving once more through the concrete tomb of an office complex that he was currently traveling through. A sign up ahead on the ceiling read "Break Lounge" (well, it actually read "Brek ounge", but Jed was smart enough to know what it meant), and he thought there might at least be something in there. His M-14 jittered, as the old zombie opened the door and looked inside once more, his rifle transfixed on every nook and cranny in the room. All that remained was a fridge, and most of the room had fallen through to the floor below. With the care of a surgeon stitching up a wound, he gently tip-toed across the debris and wreckage to the fridge which hung like a needle attached to thread on the edge of the floor. Cautiously, he edged it open, and all that was inside was a bottle of beer. It was too high a risk for one bottle of beer, but the ghoul leaned around, one hand on part of a counter that was nearby and the other stretched out towards the bottle. Ever so slowly, he edged closer and closer and eventually grabbed it... and then the fridge teetered over the edge and fell into the floor below. Jed was lucky not to have been dragged down with it.
With a grin, he ripped the cap off of the bottle with his jagged teeth and took a large sip. It was piss warm, and tasted like some of that shitty Canadian beer that Jed had always hated. But, a beer was a beer, right? So, he downed it to make the pain of drinking it die quicker and then moved on to the next room.
It was empty... almost. The one thing of value in the room was an old radio. Jed, being a good repairman, inspected it and, after crossing a few wires, got the old piece of junk to pick up signals. With a yellowed grin, he turned the dial, attempting to find Galaxy News Radio, but instead stumbled upon something a little different...
"Any doctors out there, please. I am desperate. This is Eris from the Apostles of Enhanced Survival. Over half my residents have fallen ill, including our doctor. I am very limited in my medical training. Please someone come help me."
This was his calling... well, not in the sense that he was a doctor equipped to deal with the situation, but he wanted adventure; he wanted to be remembered for something, like the Lone Wanderer, a man he envied with a passion for all the adventure he got and his legendary status in the old remains of the Capital Wastes.
"Well, Jed, you sure ain't not doctor of no sort, but hell, man, you sure could do with some fame out here!", he shouted, rather stupidly. But, luckily, no-one was there to hear it. Jed, before making a little "woo-hoo", made his way to the exit of the old collapsing ruin and opened the door. Five miles from GNR, huh? That was about ten minutes from where he was, and so he ran and ran towards the depraved village in need of help. Maybe he'd become famous, maybe not; either way, he could do something to help...

Eris stepped away from the radio and shook her head. "I think we're doomed." she mumbled to herself. She headed back downstairs carefully poking her head into the sick residents room careful not to breathe the air, but she needed to make sure they were still alive right. She sighed coming upon one of the children who had fallen ill and sighed "Hey sweetie, you doing okay?" she asked The girl replied with a cough "I'm really tired." Eris nodded "Get some rest my dear." and left the room. After she had checked all the sick people she went to the entrance and peeked out through a small window. It looked as if a figure was heading there way. Male or female? She couldn't tell. "I wonder if someone heard my call for help?" she said but just shrugged, she doubted it she had been making that call for a while now. If only she could be heard. She sighed softly not leaving the window her curiosity keeping her frozen to the spot.

Jed was cautious during his approach to the town, his rifle remaining upright in it's positioning. The girl seemed to be the one who was leaving the radio messages, and calmly Jed approached her, leaving about few feet between them as he shouted to her.
"You the women on da' radio? Da' one lookin' for some help with her tribe? 'Cause, if y'are, then I'm here to help. Name's Jethro, but most people call me Jed!", he exclaimed, the distance between them still rather hefty. Slowly, Jed made his approach to what appeared to be an encampment of sorts, approaching the women directly this time, seeing as there was no hostility.
"Now uh... I should prolly' tell ya' first off that I ain't no doc' or nothin' like that, just an old man willin' to help y'all out. I don't know if there's much I can do, but I'll do all I can."
With a half smile, Jed lowered his rifle and leaned against a nearby pile of rubble, trying to make some conversation with the women while they stayed for a while.
"I seen a lotta' tribes in the wasteland... I jes' hope y'all ain't one o' da' kooky ones that believes in ghosts or any or that horseshit... I mean uh', DO you have any kooky beliefs like that? I mean, just checkin', ya' know 'cause, it's a dangerous world after all.", Jed said with some unease, adjusting his vault-tec security helmet and picking some rotting flesh from one of his ears.

"You would probably find our belief quite silly, but we believe that Super Mutant Behemoths are Gods, but we don't hoard any up here." She responded
She pulled out a cigarette and lit it "I would really appreciate your help though." she nodded at him as he placed his gun down "We would have to hold your weapon for a short period, just while we get the feel of you and make sure you won't do anything to harm us."
She took a long drag and let it out slowly "We are well protected in here. I'm home is actually farther in this is just the main entrance, but we have guards on our true entrance so I would probably have to bring your weapon in with me. We have food, drink and stores. Plus I can set you up with a room of your own, free of charge as long as you help us."
