From The Fury Of The Northmen, Deliver us...
The Plot:
This is the story of Sigvald The Wanderer, his ship the Bloodied Dove and his crew.
What goes from a simple raid on an undefended Ionian Village will spiral into something that none could have expected, neither his seers nor the Gods themselves.
The Ship:
The Bloodied Dove has been in Sigvalds family since his grandfathers generation. It is a Svarjholder war galley, capable of outrunning many ships and weathering terrible storms. It has a crew of sixty, and a storage capacity equivalent to twenty chests of loot. The sails of the longboat are red striped, and Sigvalds banner flies above it, a crippled dove plummeting to the seas.

The Captain:
Name: Sigvald
Title: Captain, The Wanderer
Age: 28
Race: Svarjhold Human
Gender: Male
Skills: A seasoned mariner and raider, Sigvald is a beast with his axe.
Physical Appearance: Sigvald is a beast of a man, and there are some rumors that he himself is a half-orc like many of his crew. He stands at six feet and three inches, and is built like a bull. He has blue eyes that always seem borderlines on an explosion, and long brown hair. Scars run across his face and body.
Personality:
Sigvald, despite his appearance, is a calm and collected individual. He is rough, and has no tolerance for weakness. To those he respects, he is a loyal friend. He has a strong sense of loyalty and honor, though his morality will seem skewed to those who are not from the frozen tundras of the north-west, or were bred in the camps of the Horde.
Brief History:
Sigvald was born in one of the Hordes camps. His father was a note able raider, for being the first Svarjholder to come into contact with the Horde. Sigvald was raised among the various races of the horde, and on the ships of his father. He went on his first raid at the age of fourteen, and it was then that his trait was discovered. Sigvald is a berserker. His calm nature belies that, and many have made the mistake of naming him as weak, only to discover too late in combat what a beast he can be. When the rage comes over him, he has been seen to take three spears into his body, and then smash them aside with his axe with ease. One of his brothers attempted to kill him by stabbing him. The blade went through, and Sigvald crushed his throat with his hand.
What most don't know however, is that the berserk state takes a terrible toll on his mental and physical state. After every 'berserk' stage, he needs time to rest and recover, and is incredibly weak. His mind is plagued with nightmares by what he has done, and the only relief he can find is in the bottom of a mug of ale, or more killing.
Sigvald is currently leaving a Horde Camp with some fresh new sign ons on his ship. His destination? The peaceful lands of Ionia. There, the ship will loot and pillage as they please, until they are full on loot and return to a port to sell or consume what they can.
Then, the cycle will repeat.
