Especially given just how many races there are in the Star Wars universe, the Staff reserves the right to modify or add to these lists or ask that a character's race be changed for any reason at any time.
Basically just use common sense and don't try to play as anything that's died out or is extremely rare and there won't be an issue. Partial lists are depicted below; prohibited races are those that will not be allowed under any circumstances, whereas restricted races are going to require closer examination at the very least in order to earn an approval.

Partial lists are depicted below; prohibited races are those that will not be allowed under any circumstances, whereas restricted races are going to require closer examination at the very least in order to earn an approval.
Prohibited Races:
- Yuuzhan Vong and related races - The Yuuzhan Vong and the races brought with them have not yet invaded the Galaxy, and therefore are not yet present in our current timeline.
- Rakata - Extinct.
- Gen'Dai - Unavailable for PC use due to the extreme rarity of this species, their seeming immortality, and the sheer level of complications that would be associated with playing one.
- Yoda's Species - As nothing is known about this species and it was intended to make them as mysterious and unique as possible, Yoda's Species is completely off-limits.
- Massassi - Being an ancient subspecies of the Sith Race, they are now completely extinct.
- Neti - Unavailable for PC use due to the extreme rarity of their species, being considered a myth, and the sheer level of complications that would be associated with playing one.
- Intelligent plants such as the Ergesh, Orgon, Pliith, and Revwien - Prohibited due to the complexity playing one would require and the very small amount of information about most of the species in question.
Restricted Species:
- Anzat - Restricted due to their extreme age length, their abilities of mind control, their need to feed on average sentients every few days, and how generally strong they are.
- Ssi-ruu - Rare enough to be highly restricted bordering on prohibited due to the defeat during their invasion.
- Killik - Restricted due to their Hive Mind and seeming to be solely located on Alderaan.
- Jawas / Sand People - Restricted due to mostly only being located on Tatooine, and difficulty communicating with other species.
- Ewoks - Restricted due to only being located on Endor, the primitive nature of their species, and the uncertainty of what their canon abilities consist of.
- Intelligent 'beast' races, such as the Kwi - Restricted due to their inability to utilize most of the technology in the galaxy and their inability to use an articulated language.
- Defel - Restricted due to their ability to bend light around themselves and become invisible.
- Hutts - Restricted due to their size and rarity.
- Zeltron - Restricted due to the pheromones that can force people to like them.
- Sith Purebloods - Restricted to Sith Empire with Eternal Fleet origins.
- Droids - Heavily restricted due to the rarity of actual sentient droids. It is important to note in this regard that while commonly viewed as one, General Grievous is canonically not a droid. Droids typically receive regular memory wipes from their owners, and while they can be emancipated and then form their own friendships and learn emotions, this is extremely rare.
