Personality: Hazard is dedicated to the UNSC, more importantly, Bravo Squad, who were recently transferred to the Harsh Winter. He treats his squadmates as equals, and respects Chain of Command, but doesn't always obey it. Bravo Squad was created to get the job done. He is generally untrusting of strangers, but if they're UNSC, he learns to trust them quickly, depending on who they are.
John Keplar' family is bathed in UNSC history, his father, and grandfather fought in the UNSC-Covenant War, and both returned with their fair share of scars. John had many expectations to be a marine, as his family was. But upon watching action videos of the ODSTs, he decided to enlist as one.
He passed through the training easily, being tough, using his wits, and getting the job done, a motto he uses a lot. He was assigned to quell Insurrectionists, and was thrown from team to team, platoon to platoon, company to company. His superiors saw that he could get the job done, and as he gained reputation, he formed Bravo Squad. A team of the best ODSTs, a team that will get the job done, no matter the cost.
"Finally got Bravo approved by those knob-jockeys higher up, the UNSC needs a team that can get the tough jobs done, let's just hope we DO get the job done, eh? I've asked for a dozen dossiers on skilled ODSTs, ones that could be like-minded, ones that'll get the job done. Might even show up a few SPARTANs, eh? Some of the marines have started calling me Hazard, seeing as I'll be leading a death squad. Quite fitting.
Members of the team have come and gone, all through premature death, and Hazard remembers all of them. Recently, the Squad was transferred to the UNSC Harsh Winter, serving as the alternative to a SPARTAN squad.
The Team will often use SOEIVs when in combat situations, and will use a Falcon when stealth is necessary, often, they are better then SPARTANs for stealth, as they can move quietly, and fit through smaller spaces.
