Apparel: Omari when out of the enclave on Ilum, wears the armour of the former Jedi Temple Guards. Light amrour sits underneath the covering robes with is held together with a sash with a bunch of keys held on hooks around it. Strangely enough these keys do not jingle, neither do they seem to have any real purpose, seemingly only for decorative purposes. Personal Information
Factional Affiliation: Jedi Sentinel Enclave on Ilum
Rank: Sentinel Adept
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Single
Personality: Fiercely confident, Omari is the epitome of what this Jedi enclave has become in it’s 44 year exile. Omari is aggressive in his day to day lifestyle, though he’s very careful with this. Anger is a weapon, fury is a wild fire. Growing up in the enclave, his views are quite different to those who were brought up by the NJO. Or even the Jedi Order that existed before Order 66. He doesn’t believe there’s a problem with relationships within his enclave, in fact he’s had a couple himself. He’s grown up seeing people married, and some divorces. In his mind, the old order made people feel guilty for things they had no control over, and that was what led many of their kin to the darkside.
In his role as a sentinel, Omari lives to defeat the dark side of the force. Whilst he treads the line between lightside and darkside, like the rest of his order, he sees it as a kind of “border control”. He remains steadfast, confident in his ability to resist the temptations of the dark side. When he fights, he does not fight to detain, he fights to kill.

History
Having been born on Yashuvhu, Omari would’ve been destined to become a force user according to the customs of the planet. However, as luck would have it, the planet would get a visit from two Jedi in exile, looking for new recruits within the know force sensitive bloodline. As Yashuvhu already had an deep affection towards the Jedi inherent within it’s culture several children were offered to the Enclave, and Omari was one of those children. With his fellow initiates-to-be, Omari was subsequently taken off planet away from his family and taken to the planet of Ilum to be cared for until he was old enough to begin his training.
On Ilum he was taken in by some of the Jedi, and during his early years he grew up amongst the children that were already there. As he grew up, he was told very little about his culture, not that this bothered him at the time. His life as a Jedi initiate was tough, and frightfully cold. The first power he was ever taught, like most of the other humanoid Jedi there was Tapas. He had fully mastered this power before even becoming a padawan. It allowed him to keep off the cold of Ilum off, so much so that be barely felt the cold after that. As his training went on and eventually he would be placed under the care of the Vurk Jedi Sentinel, Rego Berand. Omari wasn’t the only initiate to be placed under Rego’s oversight. Desperate times in the enclave had forced them to start taking on multiple initiate, and as such Omari had a partner initiate, a fellow Yashuvhi named Nej Zapal. Their first task as initiates was to construct their own lightsabers and for that they needed their crystals. Sticking with tradition, Berand waited at the entrance, sending the boys ahead and into the caves. Once inside, the two split up and went their separate ways, off to find their crystals. After some time of searching, the two emerged victorious in their search, both with yellow crystals. Berand at the time commented on the luck of getting two padawans with yellow crystals. With their crystals, the two returned back to their enclave to construct their lightsabers. Like his master, Omari would take up the lightsaber pike, whereas Nej opted for a normal single blade.
As a padawan learner at 15, Omari was well on his way to becoming a Jedi. The two padawans continued to train on Ilum in isolation, rarely travelling off world. When they did travel off world, they were kept together on the ship and away from society, told it was for their own protection. This rule never really stuck, as Omari’s inquisitive nature often led him to step away from the ship, and investigate the spaceports nearby. Though Omari didn’t realise it at the time, he was drawing attention to himself and the Ilum Jedi Enclave. With the rise of the New Jedi Order, if they didn’t keep themselves hidden, they would be uncovered by their brothers housed on Coruscant. Omari wasn’t entirely sure why this was a bad thing. Omari wouldn’t find out however until after being twice chastised by Master Berand. It was then he realised that his enclave, while they admired what the ‘actual’ order was trying to do, they were too separate, each with their own views of the force. The Ilum Enclave felt the Order would have a far few problems with some of their teaching methods and such refrained from contact. To an extent, contact between the two orders was forbidden, so it was to be avoided at all possible.
Master Berand knew however that even with rules in place, it wouldn’t really avert the two padawans from exploring. So Berand loosened the reins. From then on, Omari could move of his own free will, whilst staying in direct communication with his master at all times. Omari used this to his advantage over the years to explore new planets. To Omari this was the life he wanted to leave, exploring the galaxy looking for darkside users… though up till this point, he’d never seen one. To an extent he couldn’t believe they still existed. From what his master said, there were always two. Someone had to replace Vader and Palpatine, but who? Perhaps Omari was to find out sooner or later.
As he got older, Omari found out what it was like for initiates whose crystals weren’t yellow. One initiate, several years younger had been in the care of Omari’s order and in searching for his crystal, it bad turned out green. Whilst this wasn’t entirely a bad thing, Berand explained that the initiate’s place wasn’t with them, in fact, it was with the New Jedi Order. So Berand, Omari and Nej were ordered to escort the initiate to Coruscant. So that’s what they did. The four boarded a freighter commandeered by the Enclave and set off for Coruscant. The confused Initiate asked many questions, and upset at the abandonment, Omari could only hope and pray the kid eventually understood. After removing their robes and opting for disguises, the four got ready to head to the headquarters of the Jedi Order there. Omari and Nej walked nervously behind their master, who walked next to the initiate worried their identities would somehow be revealed. Their master made no attempt to quell their worry as he too was nervous. This must’ve been the first time someone in their order had stepped foot on Coruscant before the end of the Clone Wars. As they got to the bottom of the steps, the four gathered and said there goodbyes. They watched as the Initiate climbed the steps and then disappeared into the building. They had been about to leave when Berand spoke up, saying how he knew Nej was going to join the Jedi Order and leave them. Omari was understandably shocked by this, but Nej just sighed and started walking. Barand later explained that Nej had been insulted by the casting out of the initiate. That combined with the isolation of Ilum had become enough for him, and as such felt out of place in their order. So Nej had decided to leave the moment he got an opportunity, Barand had no choice but to let him go. Omari stood with his master, as his friend of many years departed their order and left his life for good. Berand stood almost proudly as padawan left, before turning to Omari and asking whether he wanted to go too. Omari shook his head, and the two departed Coruscant.
With the loss of two Jedi, Berand decided they would go recruiting and their first stop was Sembla, Berand’s home planet. Changing into their robes, they set off and continued on their journey.
Years later at the age of twenty-seven, a little later than normal, Omari was to finally take on the trials to become a Jedi Knight and officially become a Sentinel. Whilst Omari’s Enclave didn’t have standardised trials, Padawans were to go out into the galaxy and do some good for the galaxy as a whole. Usually this task would cover many of the trials and upon it’s completion would be evidence of the passing of the trial. Due to Omari’s age, he was expected to partake in the trials alone, freeing Berand up for another task. Omari was given use of the same freighter, and was sent away. Assisted by one of the enclave’s droids, Omari was able to pilot the droid across the galaxy. Berand had been nice enough to leave some galactic coordinates for Omari to follow, if he chose them, which he did. Omari chose a planet that wasn’t too far away.
Ord Mantell, a planet on the borders of New Republic and Imperial Remnant space was his choice. What was going to happen there, Omari didn’t quite know. Though his master believed this was a location worthy of investigation. As the droid took them down to the planet, it took them to the shadowport that sat on the planet’s surface. Placing on his armour, Omari stepped out onto the hangar floor where he was immediately confronted by several armed people. Omari stood as the group backed off slightly, not expecting a Jedi. Omari took out his lightsaber as the group prepared to fire. The group called for backup, as Omari tried to calm the situation. He sensed the attempt to take him captive; Omari in response ignited the lightsaber. Omari took out two of the guys deflecting firepower back at them, but as he almost took several shots in the ensuing battle, along with reinforcements on the way, he took off. As he did so the door to the hangar opened and more guys stormed the hangar. Omari was forced to jump out of the hangar, onto a lower ledge of the building as the men chased after him to the edge, firing down at him. Before long however, Omari vanished down an access corridor.
Not knowing why he was being chased, and with his only exit from the planet occupied, Omari had no choice but to vanish into the Crowds of the city. After recuperating from the fight in an alley, Omari began to contemplate what he was going to do. The ship, as well as the droid, held the data needed to track his journey back to Ilum and would perhaps lead to the exposure of the enclave. Since that was a danger, Omari had no choice but to go back.
When nightfall approached, Omari infiltrated the shadow port, making sure to use the force to keep himself hidden. Making his way through the shadowport, he found that the ship was preparing to take off. Quickly he snuck aboard, slipping past two tired guards, where he stowed away in the cargo hold. Soon after, the ship took off, Omari decided to act. He didn’t know how many people were aboard the vessel, but he did know it had to be limited. The hyperdrive was being charged as he ambushed one of the guys walking past the cargo hold and subsequently dragged him inside and shut the door after him. Keeping hidden, Omari continued through the ship, counting five voices. As he listened, he heard that they were planning to take the ship back to their boss. It had already been obvious that the ship belonged to the Jedi and they knew the flight data would be valuable. It was now or never. Omari charged into the communal area, the two pirates sat at the table barely had enough time to grab the nearby blasters as Omari cut them down with his lightsaber.
Alerted by the shouts, the pilot ordered the other two to kill the Jedi. With fewer odds against him than before, Omari moved against them, though the limited space in the ship significantly handicapped his movements. Blasters went off, Omari dodged and took out one of the pirates, giving a swift force kick to the second, sending him flying into a nearby pipe. The pilot outraged at the defeat of his men, pulled out his blaster and went after Omari, who surprised him with a quick slash as he moved around the corner. The ship then lurched into hyperspace. After noting that nothing was to be done about the sudden leap into hyperspace, Omari turned to the surviving pirates, and handcuffed them.
Omari questioned the pirates for hours afterwards, determined to find the reason for the attack. It seemed that whilst they had been initially after the previous owner of the ship, the prize of a Jedi was more than tempting. It was also made apparent that Omari was about to hyperspace to the planet where their leader currently inhabited. With ships in orbit, Omari had no choice but to send out a distress call to any nearby vessel. He wasn’t aware anyone would’ve caught the request, but it was too late. As the ship came out of orbit, Omari could see the pirate vessels heading his way. After knocking out his captives Omari prepared himself for boarding. Shutting down the systems on the ship, he let the pirates believe the ship was adrift. Once again he found himself concealing himself in the cargo hold.
The pirate frigate soon docked with the vessel, capturing it, and soon several of it’s men boarded. He waited as they passed him looking for their missing crewmen, fighting the dead on the floor, and the captives unconscious, they ordered the ship be search from top to bottom. Omari took the opportunity to sneak through onto the pirate frigate, but not before damaging the airlock to the frigate. As he closed the airlock on the frigate, he turned to find a gun in his face. As he attempted a mind trick, he told the pirate to announce the men had returned to the ship and everything was good. When the pirate did as he was told, Omari smirked, looking back as the docking clamps were released, venting the atmosphere of the freighter and killing those inside. Omari then silenced the pirate who’d helped him and moved further into the ship. Thankfully, the frigate was lightly manned, due to the men that had been on Omari’s ship and now the vessel was surprisingly empty. It looked like they had been operating on minimal crew as it was, even without the loss of men. It was at that point two New Republic vessels entered the system. Immediately the pirate frigate went on high alert as they were told they would be boarded. Omari knew this was his chance to escape. Heading to the bridge, Omari ignited his lightsaber. Immediately after getting there, he took out the guards with a spinning slash and raced onto the bridge. The pirates scrambled picking up their blasters and shooting at him. With a force push, Omari neutralised one by throwing him against a console and smashing it. He then went back to defending from blaster fire. Moving forward Omari took out the closest pirate, before a shot from the captain’s blaster hit him in the shoulder, knocking him into his back. As he fell he dropped his lightsaber and once on the floor, he gave a low groan, clinging onto his shoulder because of the pain. The captain then ordered the ship to fire on the republic ships. When the captain was told one of the ships had already boarded them, the captain ordered them to commence firing on the other vessel. He then announced that he would deal with the republic soldiers himself. Omari, still on the floor heard this and grabbed his lightsaber. Forcing himself through the pain, he leapt to his feet and threw himself at the captain. Though he was only able to use one hand effectively, he cut down the captain, and then leapt over to the remaining pirates tackled them onto the console. As they struggled several republic soldiers made it to the bridge. Outnumbered, the pirates dropped their weapons, and released Omari, who stepped back and fell into the arms of a republic soldier, his shoulder bleeding.
The next thing Omari knew, he was laid in a medical room aboard the republic ship. His mask was off, and placed to the side, as well as his robes. His shoulder had been covered on bacta and was healing. After being informed that he had killed a pirate captain that had been plaguing the area, he was informed that the Jedi Order had been notified. Though it wasn’t their fault, Omari became uneasy. Immediately getting clothed and looking for a way out. The captain of the republic ship had been grateful, particularly for the capture of a pirate ship that could now be used for more lawful endeavours. So he decided to help the panicking Jedi. Being in the outer rim, his base still had a few old headhunters to be used in emergency situations, though they were being phased out and sold on. The captain then offered Omari one as a reward for helping deal with the pirates and securing them a new frigate. Omari immediately agreed, taking the offer to escape and once they had landed, thanked the captain, took the headhunter and left. The same headhunter has been used by Omari ever since.
Upon Omari’s return to Ilum, he gave his report to his order. Subsequently it was decided amongst the enclave’s council that he had passed the jedi trials in his time away. After cutting off his braid, he too became a Jedi Knight. Despite the loss of the freighter, the enclave decided it was his right to keep the headhunter. Since then, Omari has been accumulating experience as a Jedi, moving from one mission to another. Whilst he returns to the enclave on Ilum regularly, he doesn’t spend nearly as much time there. He now explores the galaxy looking to rid out corruption wherever he finds it. Who knows one day he might stumble on the Sith, or even run into his old friend Nej, surely he must’ve been a knight too by now.
