(I guess since she's the magical one, I'll start with Miranda and her little companion...you'll see what I mean by that. )

Abilities: Miranda has a lot of abilities, but she doesn't know how to control most of them.

Consciously controlled - Telepathy, Biokinesis (with her own body, at least), telekinesis, the ability to fly, some small forms of matter manipulation.

Unconsciouslly controlled - Weather manipulation (The weather sometimes changes according to Miranda's mood: When she's very happy, the weather is magnificent, being warm and sunny. When she's sad, sometimes a small, personal rain cloud follows over her head. When she's very sad the whole area experiences rain. When she's sad and angry, a violent thunderstorm occurs, etc, etc.), reality warping (Miranda can alter reality in numerous ways, like making days repeat, making certain people not exist, make the universe operate in a different way than usual. However, these don't happen very often, as Miranda often has no reason to use them, and only occur when she really wants something to change). Time manipulation (Another power that only occurs if Miranda wants it to, but she has yet to consciously control it. More than once though, she's caused time to move slowier or faster based on her inner desires).

Other abilities - Creating life. No one knows for certain whether Miranda can do this one consciously or not. It has only happened once, in the case of her teddy bear and life long friend, Mr. Snuggles, who, by all accounts is sentient, functioning creature.

Personal Information


Personality: Miranda is highly eccentric. Despite her age, she is incredibly childish and somewhat naive. She is not, stupid, doing well in school (though her study methods do raise eyebrows occasionally). Part of her childish behavior came from her parents discovering her powers and, realizing how special she was, treated her as an angel. Because her family was poor, however, she is not spoiled and is often made happy by little things in life. Miranda is cheerful and friendly to a fault, to the point where people often find her very annoying. Her eccentricities in behavior also make her a bit of an outcast, resulting in her having few friends. This causes her to have a few emotional wounds, often being made sad when someone points out how few friends she has.



History: Miranda was born and raised in Staton, with her mom and dad. Very early in her life, the two parents realized that there was something very strange about Miranda. On certain days, she had long hair, even though she was a baby, only for it to disappear the next day (or the next minute). Sometimes she was found floating in her room. And other times, her eyes changed color.

Miranda's parents were struggling financially from almost the day she was born. Her father had had difficulty holding a job for years, and her birth only made things more difficult. However, her parents lover her dearly, and tried to do everything in their power to make her happy. As she grew up, Miranda's powers continued to make themselves known, and in someways (though usually accidental) helpful. Miranda fell in love with her footed pajamas so much that she wanted to wear them everywhere. Though her parents initial did not want her to do this (as her pajamas would get ruined), they noticed that Miranda's clothes appeared to change in material, changing from soft cotton to more sturdy material in an instance. Eventually, this proved to be useful, as the parents could not afford much clothing for her.

At first, school seemed to go well, socially, for Miranda. Because she was surrounded by kids, her oddities were not stigmatized as much. However, as she got older, the other children began to understand how weird she was and drifted away from her, often leaving poor Miranda alone. Even some of the teachers made it clear that they found Miranda to be very bizarre, despite the fact that she was a very nice girl. Miranda, able to read minds, knew what a lot of people thought of her, and she began to feel very isolated and alone. Eventually, her yearning for a true friend resulted in the animation of her oldest friend; a teddy bear her mother had given her at one of her birthdays, which she had named Mr. Snuggles. The fact that Miranda had brought life to an inanimate object shocked her parents. Her father, who had once worked at the nearby Staton University, finally confided in a friend, Michael Devens, a psychologist.

Devens, who had mental powers of telepathy and telekinesis himself, revealed his own powers to Mr. Caldwell, and promised to help the family raise Miranda and her supernatural powers. During the next few years, Professor Devens, and some other faculty of the University who were also supernaturally gifted, became something of a second family to Miranda.

However, when Miranda turned fifteen, her father finally declared bankruptcy. Unable to care for his daughter, Mr. Caldwell turned to Devens for help. Devens, who knew of the Caldwell's family, informed the father that he had had Sarah Leheron, Miranda's cousin, in his class, and that she was living near the campus, working on her doctorate. Mr. Caldwell and Devens contacted Sarah, who, after much persuaded, begrudgingly agreed to look after Miranda.

Since then, Miranda has viewed Sarah as one of her closest friends, despite the fact that Sarah has had mixed feelings about Miranda. Sarah, a very normal girl trying to lead a very normal life, tries to cope with the oddities and eccentricities of her new roommate, who seems to have a new surprise everyday.

Abilities: Mr. Snuggles can read minds and fly. He has an empathetic link with Miranda and can sense her emotions, thoughts, and can even see through her eyes, with Miranda being able to do the same with him. Mr. Snuggles can do a lot of normal things for a living creature, but also doesn't do or have a lot of things a normal creature does. For example, Mr. Snuggles eats, but he doesn't appear to produce waste and therefore never has to use the bathroom. Mr. Snuggles can suffer pain, but he cannot be killed so long as he can be sewn back together (incidentally, if he is sewn back together, he instantly recovers from the damage, the stitches disappearing). He appears to be living, but he does not appear to have any sign of a digestive system, circulatory system, or any biological system, only being full of cotton. When one of these disparities is pointed out, Miranda's reply is often simply "Of course he can't/doesn't. He's a teddy bear, for goodness sake!"

Personal Information


Personality: Like Miranda, Mr. Snuggles has several childlike traits. He (according to Miranda) can only eat the "finest of sweets" and cannot eat vegetables (like broccoli) as they are poisonous to him. He is often initially very shy to people he doesn't know, often going limp like a normal teddy bear in the face of strangers. Only after he has been exposed to a certain person for long enough, or if it is clear Miranda is friends with that person, or if Miranda personally coaxes him to will he move in front of a stranger. Once he does, however, he becomes much less shy, and will often sit on people's laps and offer hugs and dance. Being a teddy bear, Mr. Snuggles doesn't not like being left alone for long, and often soughts to be held and hugged.

Mr. Snuggles walks with a toddler waddle, often falling over, requiring him to be carried long distances unless he flies. Despite the fact that he has a mouth, Mr. Snuggles appears unable to speak vocally. He does appear to be able to speak telepathically, as Miranda often speaks to him as if he has spoken. Oddly, however, only Miranda seems able to communicate with him, as even others, like Professor Devens, who possess telepathic powers, are unable to communicate with him. Whenever Mr. Snuggles is frightened or overwhelmed, he will cover his eyes with his paws in an attempt to hide from the situation.

It is claimed by Miranda that Mr. Snuggles was formally trained to be a teddy bear, and that he has a Doctorate in Applicable Cuddling and Advanced Snuggles, hence she occasionally calls him "Dr. Mr. Snuggles".



History: It is not entirely known when it occurred, as his sentience was discovered only long after the fact, but Mr. Snuggles was the result of Miranda's isolation in school, when other students avoided her due to her odd personality. He has been her friend for a long time, and Miranda often carries him around where ever she goes, partially because he is her best friend and also because Mr. Snuggles doesn't like to be left alone.

Professor Devens, with the assistance of Miranda, has attempted to interview Mr. Snuggles about his account of his "birth". According to Mr. Snuggles, he does not remember the moment that he was given life, but remembers that the first time that he laid eyes with Miranda that he had found his greatest friend.
