• Crewman Pest, a human male from the underworld of Coruscanti. Rat faced, lean, and short standing at 5'6, Pest is used by Miles to take care of issues through the shafts and tight spaces of the ship. The man's nose has been broken too many times, and is perpetually crooked.
• Crewwoman Jaln, a human female from Cloud City. She's the computer brains of his team, assisting with the terminals. Friendly and perpetually cheerful, she's the only social member of Miles' repair team.

Personality: Miles Pat'ren is your typical gruff exterior with a heart of gold on the inside. He's anti-social, sarcastic, and a pain in the rear end to work with. But he's a Republic Man Through and Through. No one on the Alderaanian Wraith really has any issues with him, he stays out of the way.





Miles Pat'ren was born on the planet of Coruscant, shortly before the liberation. Times were hard, but his family survived the trying times of the reconstruction. He became a man under Republic Rule, and began dating a fellow technician that worked with him at the starport. The two were discussing plans to settle down and marry, and life was going fairly well for Miles. He had a steady paying job at the starport, he had a woman whom he loved, and he had a roof over his head. Of course, eventually his luck had to run out, and it did. The accident happened.

The accident is something Miles has always been tight lipped about, and few people from previous assignments can even say with certainty they knew about it. All that anyone can agree on, is that whatever the accident was in particular, it made him the way he is.

He lost his love, and with her loss, he lost his life. The cheerful, energetic Miles Pat'ren apparently died that day alongside his wife in the starship explosion that claimed her. In his place was a bitter, gruff man without any direction.

After a year of not doing anything with himself, he enlisted in the Republic Navy as a technician, getting passed off between assignments. Few could learn to work with him. Fewer commanders wanted him on their repair team. So he was shuffled around, like a bag of soiled waste that no one wanted to dispose of completely. He'd get assigned, get his pay, and then get sent off to some other ship and some other corner of the galaxy, most of the time before he could even get his likeness placed alongside the rest of the units on the ship for data recovery.

This went on for several more years, until a special opportunity arose. Due to a work related accident, the Alderaanian Wraith required a new head for their technicians. Orion saw something in the mans profile when he read it, and specifically requested him. Miles accepted with the same resigned, gruff attitude that he always had, and shipped off for the sunny islands of Hakawa alongside three other technicians. His meeting the Captain was delayed due to combat sims that day, so him and the three other technicians went out for a walk along the islands. They laughed, made jokes, and had a bit of fun presumably.

Now, they're three of the only people on the Alderaanian Wraith-, perhaps in the galaxy, who can get this gruff technician to open up. Why do they bother with a washed up, bitter, possibly alcoholic technician with a temper to rival a rancors?

They wouldn't be able to tell you. Perhaps they saw something in him, or he in them. Either way, the four have become a motley group.

Only his three partners know that he sends most of his pay to one of the charities based on Coruscant, for Rebel and New Republic widows and orphans.
