Hello Wastelanders!
It's poker night at the Wrangler, and the stakes are high, the drinks are regular priced, and the food is mediocre!
Do you want a chance to win real, fictional money? This is the thread for you! Any wastelander can play, no matter where you're from! Are you from Megaton? The Pitt? New Vegas? New Canaan? The Rad Apple? Yellowstone Park? Flathead County? It doesn't matter! Anyone is welcome! [Serious mode] The exceptions to the game are non-human characters (Ghouls are considered humans. Android characters will be determined on case by case basis; rule of thumb, if they are basically like Harkness, you should be fine). So no Super Mutants, Robco Robots, Mayors of the Rad Apple, or other such things. Also, please only bring one character. If you're a faction leader, leave your drones or guards outside.[/Serious Mode]
The tournament is looking for ONLY SIX players to gamble and talk and potentially threaten each other. If you don't know how to play Texas Hold 'Em, don't join! Or, better yet, go learn! And THEN join!
The game we will be playing is no limit, Texas Hold 'Em. Each player will have 20,000 chips to play! The winner will gain bragging rights and everyone's money, not to mention their eternal, burning hatred!
BUT STEELPLATE, you're probably asking, how are you POSSIBLY going to make this work? I'm glad you asked!
The dealer will be none other than my very own Clarissa "Lady Luck" Fuller. I will use various poker games, videos, etc to determine everyone's Hole Cards (I won't just make them up), which will be privately messaged to each individual player by me (the dealer). Then, I will publicly post the respective "Flop", "Turn", and "River" phases of the game. I will also keep track of the Blinds, both little and big, and will raise them after a certain amount of posts (if the round of poker is not over once the post limit is reached, we will wait till it is and then the blinds will be raised in the next round).
That should be everything! Who's up for some high stake gambling?
