Skills/training: Echo has several years of past thievery to call on should the need ever arise, and she's extremely perceptive, sporting an almost unnatural sixth sense about when she's being watched. She spent a substantial amount of time on a cargo Retaliator and is very familiar with their systems, perhaps beyond the usual for a pilot as she is capable of performing repairs to some degree. Beyond that, she's gone through the traditional UEE Naval path of academy then flight school. She has more than a few hours of flight time and has gone through countless simulations, so theoretically is good pilot, though currently she's untested in actual combat maneuvers. She can also brawl to a degree, for what that's worth.

Personality: Echo seems to be a very high-strung individual, and perhaps for good reason when one considers her origin. She's not eager to talk about herself in any real manner, and if made uncomfortable will usually deflect comments with lies, though she's not bad at deception so people might not pick up on it. In fact, the less she lies with someone, the more likely it is that she values them, as to her honesty breeds trust, which breeds intimacy (from a friendship standpoint). When it comes to business, or in this case military work, she has come to be exceedingly honest and is more than willing to implicitly trust people with her life, though part of this comes from the knowledge that this means that they're trusting her with their life, and training of course. However, on a personal level, she fears any sort of commitment, not because she expects people to betray her, but rather because she fears loss. That's not to say she's impersonal, in fact she loves socializing with comrades complete with shitty jokes, friendly insults, and the odd casual flirtation (even with other women despite her orientation), but anyone expecting to see a deep side of her without prying is sorely mistaken. She seems to have an odd instinct when it comes to combat, not so much in the sense that she has a good mind for tactics (though she's been trained), but she seems to instinctively know where the good spots are for an ambush to come from. She's generally pretty hard to anger, though she doesn't forget slights quickly, and generally she prefers to settle grudges by sparring, though some people have been able to just air things out to get it over with. When it comes to military decorum, she follows it to a T... until the moment she doesn't have to, then she lets her hair down, kicks her feet back, and jabbers blithely about how the brass are polishing their balls or something equally crass. Still, all this said, she's not disloyal, in fact she holds great respect for the senior pilots and seems to become an oddly polite and soft-spoken person, almost as if she's in awe of them. Also, while she's rather accepting of the Tevarin, she's a touch xenophobic towards the Banu and Xi'an, and VERY xenobobic towards the Vanduul (though that should go without saying). The quickest way for someone to earn their way into her heart is through an empty bowl, and she knows that many Tevarin go to bed hungry.

Personnel File (read History):
It's not entirely clear where Echo came from, in fact it's possible that her current name is an alias, as there's no record of her prior to an incident in 2985. However, a great deal may be assumed based on her initial introduction. She was found on Vega III and was either from an extremely low-income family or none at all, as she openly admits to having committed crimes in her past. She was a member of the Crimson Crow gang in Titus (the capital city of Selene), a relatively small group with minimal equipment; little more than well-organized thugs and a source of contacts and fences for larger criminal syndicates. Prior to 2985, it's unlikely that she had ever been off Vega and most likely survived through some degree of law violating, though the exact degree of which remains unclear, as she has resisted interrogation efforts. However, truth serums and lie detection apparatus have revealed that she has committed no felonies, so it is safe to say that this was largely petty theft.

However, she first came onto public radar when a woman whose voice matches hers by 95% began tipping off starship captains of impending thefts of their craft. Of twelve reports, nine were prevented, one of which done personally in defense of one Gavin Thorne and his associates aboard civilian Retaliator; serial number FZ792; name "Pandora." Shots were fired by multiple suspects in the altercation, including Mister Thorne, and in the crossfire Miss Randhawa was wounded, one gang member was killed, two were wounded, and one of Thorne's associates were wounded. Thorne funded her recovery and, upon her release, formally filled out the paper work to become her guardian, something which she reportedly took with great excitement. Records go quiet until 2988 when she was discovered in a standard-model Retaliator escape pod. According to Miss Randhawa's reports, Retaliator FZ792 was attacked by Vanduul scouts; there were no other survivors. Upon landfall on Elysium IV, Randhawa claimed her inheritance as Gavin Thorne's sole heir and applied to a local university, where she joined the Navy ROTC and earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

The second she was out, she joined the UEE Navy, intent on going through flight training (in spite of requests that she become a mechanic). Her scores were respectable across the board, though a few minor infractions occurred during her bootcamp and flight training, particularly once she began training on Retaliators. However, her talent as a bomber pilot was grudgingly acknowledged by the flight instructor and she was eventually assigned to the 219th Bomber Squadron. She has spent most of her career thus far going through assorted maneuvers with other rookie pilots and crews, occasionally being sent to Retaliator NI957 "Myrmidon" for tutelage and for light combat preparation. So far she has scored two kills against pirate vessels, one Cutlass and one Aurora, both in the top turret, "The second most comfortable place on the ship" she says. Last month she received her promotion to ensign and was assigned to Retaliator LD108 "Knightmare" alongside a fresh crew. During this month they performed training exercises as well as extensive sim training together, and last week they received their clearance for combat missions. As Ensign Randhawa said to her CO, "Took long enough, I was starting to fear that I'd retire before I saw some real action."
