When people stop being useful, Wilson offers them a choice, they can die in honour admitting to their failure, or live on to serve the Enclave. Being executed for failure is quite possibly the best option, as those who choose the second option, become slaves. These slaves will be used in any manner needed by the Enclave, be it janitorial duties or experimentation. Like most of the Enclave, he is xenophobic to the highest degree, believing all non-pure humans are only worthy of being slaves.
He is brave, never shirking away from battle, unless it is a requirement. He will lead a charge personally.

Erik Wilson, born to a soldier of the Enclave, has lived through all the disasters of the Enclave. He was twelve when the Enclave retreated from the oil rig, and was dragged along, like many of the other people to Raven Rock, located in Washington DC. He ultimately had the life of a soldier thrust upon him, and would take on (relatively minor) responsibilities at this age. He would be tasked with keeping the soldiers resupplied, cleaning and polishing the armour, and general maintenance of their gear. Growing up, this gave him advanced knowledge on maintaining his weaponry.
As he got older, he was assigned the rank of private. He’d head out on various missions, like the average grunt, and over his time, he rose steadily through the ranks. Eventually he would become a captain, serving under the man known as Colonel Autumn. As captain he would maintain one of the vertibird wings of Raven Rock, making sure each bird got to where they needed to be. He’d keep a tight ship, making sure that the wing was organised to the best of his abilities. He drove his men hard, almost to the bone. He was a cruel man, expecting the utmost efficiency one hundred per cent of the time. If that wasn’t good enough, he would replace a person at the top of a hat.
This role, though it provided little action, didn’t lessen any of his skills. He was known to attend the firing range frequently, and would often test his combat skills against the younger opponents. He was later assigned a set of advanced power armour, as used by the Enclave from the west. There weren’t many of these types of armour in use by the Enclave on the east coast, due to the demand for them during the war against the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel. By the time the east coast portion of the Enclave needed such armour, the western Enclave were already practically wiped out. Many of the western Enclave suits were lost either to scavengers or the brotherhood or just plainly destroyed in the fighting. None made it across in time for the war against the Brotherhood of the Capital wasteland. As a result, the limited numbers of these suits were kept behind to be used by men of rank.
After the fall of Raven Rock, Erik retreated back to Adams Air Force Base. There he would fill part of the power vacuum, after many of their superiors had gotten killed in the chaos. Erik was thrust through the ranks, where he would become a major. In this role, he would become one of the many majors, who were to organise a retreat from Adams AFB, as a provision against future attacks at the hands of the BOS. Major Wilson, as he was known now, was assigned Staten Island. He was to go there, with his assigned people, secure the bunker and then await reinforcements, if and when they came.
The arrival on Staten Island came with the purge of Ghouls at the hands of Wilson and his men. Shortly after they entered the bunker within the Manhattan Project warehouse and set upon cleansing the place. Soon enough the base was up and running. Though the idea of the enslavement of the feral ghouls was Wilson’s idea, it took the scientists weeks to create suitable slave collars. Soon enough the Enclave moved throughout Staten Island, under Wilson’s watch.
