Six lords defied their king
Trusted guides to God and mortal
They did not care what others saw
Only what they chose to see
First fell the Prince, Lord of the Stars
He by whom mortals guide their pursuits
Patient was the son who awaited his gift
On the eve of receiving, his patience ran dry.
Second and Third fell the Twins, Children of Conviction
Patrons to mortals and lords of force
By their hand was the earth given power
And by their ambition was power undone.
Fourth fell the Architect, Watchman of Time
He who set stages for all acts to come
In him all beings had put their trust
And by this trust were all plans shattered.
Fifth fell the Tender Artist of Soul
In silver splinters lay her love
In crimson rivers was love undone
In crimson rivers lay her repayment.
And Sixth fell the Judge, Warden of the End
Through him each mortal met his fate
But in each mortal he saw no worth
And so no worth he saw in service.
In six did mortals see their undoing
By mortal hands were hands undone
For no god can touch another
By mortal hands was God undone.

The core of this world is simple: the six usurper gods have turned it into their own personal playground and are altering events from behind the scenes in order to maintain the status quo. It is primarily a fantasy world, though the technological standard varies from culture to culture. For example, the Tengu have access to crude cannons while both the elves and dragons have access to powerful energy storage devices analogous to batteries. Occasionally geniuses come up with some great new technology, but more often than not they just happen to come up with it just when a war is about to start and the technology is quietly lost as their culture starts all over again. The Usurpers have an iron grasp on the world and almost all conflict is done at their hands in an effort to keep the situation in a constant cycle from which mortals have difficulty recovering. There are also remnants of their initial power struggle against the original creator which are… unpredictable to say the least. However, there are friendly gods also who attempt to break their rivals’ stranglehold on mortals, though so far with no success. It is a wild and dangerous world, this one, and things are always happening to keep it in a state of conflict, though perhaps not always as quickly as one would expect. And all of this surrounds one thing: the Covenant Tower, Prodasha. Most of our events will take place on the human and dragon dominated continent of Nedara, or the ralthan-dominated western continent of Zyanda (though that is a secondary location).
Now, this is a world of my own design and I'd much rather make sure that everyone has fun with it, and doing so means that I would rather 1) keep the details within the roleplaying group and 2) would much prefer it if those playing are willing to conform to this world. I have the finer details written out elsewhere, but I would much prefer it if those interested private messaged me to request access to the Google Drive. Everything will be on there, but I'm just generally a little apprehensive about this. I do want to enjoy this and I'm not trying to be elitist, but I'm just really nervous about putting myself out there and don't want the thread to die because someone tries to make a Mary Sue or attempts to utterly derail what the story is meant to be.
