Please Note: As Roleplay goes on, I will constantly update this profile ^_^ Nothing is, after all, without development.
Lana "Luck" Wake
Character Name: Lana "Luck" Wake
Nickname(s): Wake
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Age: 23 - Birthday is on the 21st April
Birthplace: Megaton, Capital Wasteland
Height: 5'2
Weight: Very lightweight. Lana would be easy to pick up.
Eye Color: Bright blue.
Hair Color: Bright blonde.
Hair Style: Long and straight. It becomes curly in the rain / when wet.
Skin Color: Pale.
Build: Healthy, yet underweight. She is very weak in strength, but can move slightly faster than most.
Distinguishing Features: Lana wears a red (plastic) rose in her hair.
Profession: Scavenger
Skills: Lana is quite observant and relies on her mind for a lot of situations. Because of this, she is good at speaking, hacking terminals, repairing pre-war objects (not weapons or vehicles) and first aid healing. She is also good with a handgun, such as a 10mm or a magnum.
Training: Lana learnt to read at an early age and how to fire a weapon a handgun. Skills such as hacking terminals, Lana learnt through trial and error during her travels.
Other Abilities: Lana can cook, climb well and travel long distances (hiking).
Apparel: Lana wears a long red dress and sturdy leather boots when inside settlements. She carries a bag with her to carry items in. When outside of settlements, Lana wears a hard worn leather outfit with metal kneepads and shoulderpads.
{What this would look like (Click here):}
Weaponry: Lana often carries a handgun with her if she can find one, but always carries a switchblade in her boot for good measure.
Other Equipment: Lana carries a backpack. It often contains scrap, a few medical supplies and writing supplies. It mostly contains scrap to repair... well, scrap!
Affiliation: Lana is not currently affiliated with any faction, though she would like to become a member of a faction at some point.
Religious Belief: Lana is Atheist.
Sexual Preference: Lana is Bisexual.
Relationship Status: Lana is single.
Personality: Lana's alignment is Lawful Neutral. She is a person who will stop and aid people in her ability if she can, but if she cannot, she doesn't hesitate to simply go on with her life... though she may feel bad about it at a later date. She is careful in her wording and movements, watching the world around her closely and never rushing into a situation needlessly. Among many things, Lana is kind, respectful, understanding and very much easy to get along with. Though she does not respond well to disrespectful language, violence or needless killing.
History: Lana was born in Megaton in 2267. Her parents were both scavengers whom taught Lana from a young age what to take from the Capital Wasteland and sell. They also taught her how to shoot a handgun, to keep radroaches and molerats away. She wasn't anyone who drew attention to herself because she never enjoyed this life, but knew there was little else to life than scavenging. While she was scavenging, she found an intact book- where her mother then taught her to read. Despite being a scavenger, she never traveled very far from Megaton.
At the age of 15, Lana left Megaton on a scrap run to the abandoned Rivet City. She went to Rivet City, thinking she would find more knowledge there...along the way, she saw the backbone of the Capital Wasteland... Raiders, Super Mutants, Ghouls... when she arrived at Rivet City, she was shaken, in panic and horrified, only to be further frightened by the Mirelurks whom took up residence there.
In the modern day, Lana is a simple scavenger who repairs items she finds with other scrap before selling them. It's a dull life with it's occasional moments of thrill, but Lana knows she wants better from this life. She dreams of escaping Megaton one day and becoming a wanderer of the Wastelands... to explore and learn the unknown!
How she got the Rose: The Rose Lana wears in her hair is plastic. It was a gift from her father before he left in which they found during savaging. It was the last thing she owns that reminds her of her family. Artwork:

Alrighty, let's get to see about your character... First question. Just to clarify. Is the rose she wears in her hair real or fake? 'cause flowers of that nature would be incredibly hard to get a hold of, if not impossible.
The biggest issue here, is the travelling from the Mojave Wasteland to the Capital Wasteland, that's a total of 2,300 miles in a straight line rounded down. As of 2282 (the previous date we had the roleplay set out) there was no contact between either coast, and that appears to remain the case as of 2290. As such there would be very little reason to head there, or at the very least know a route there without the aid of a map, and well... There are no maps any-more. Hell, roads now are so worn that some of them would've been claimed by the the wasteland, making a trip even more likely. Her immediate problem would be Ceasar's Legion, whilst they do not attack traders openly, they do attack those known to be part of the Crimson Caravan (due to them being allied with the NCR). Not to mention, a lone woman would likely end up being a slave within a day or two. Even with group of say... seven, you'd either end up dead or a slave within a week. So your only choice would either be to head south or north. Heading south would take you through Mexico, and well... that provides dangers in it of itself. So you head north. You have to avoid Utah, because of the tribes and legion activity there, so you go through Idaho. That extends your journey by three hundred miles to 2,600. Assuming you'd head east from there, when you hit the border of Wyoming and Nebraska. There you hit Tornado Alley, a place where in the Fallout universe is ravaged constantly by mile wide rad tornadoes. You can probably understand why you reeaaaallly don't want to go through there. So again, north it is. You'd have to walk through North Dakota, extending your trip by another 300 miles. By this point your journey is almost 3,000 miles. Now, presuming your walked an average of 10 miles a day, you could get to DC in 300 days. This is in an all together curved but 'direct' route. This also doesn't account for injuries that you would suffer at the hands of the wasteland critters, or the avoidance of enemies (that your character does), which would slow your journey down, or extend the distance you'd have to travel. You would also have to stop for supplies too, as you can't always be sure if you'll find supplies in the next time you'll have to sacrifice some days for careful scavenging. As you can see this is by no means a trip someone does lightly and a trip that on the face of it might take less than a year would easily be extended way past that. As such a journey requires an extended description and cannot be left vague. If you wish to do this, I must ask you to detail the journey. Otherwise you should just have Lana born in the Capital Wasteland, as it would be a much simpler history and save you time. I'd also like to point out that "a long red dress" is neither good for travelling long distances, protecting you from sheering heat, freezing colds and the weather, nor is it good for climbing... Perhaps an alternate outfit would be more appropriate?
For future reference too, once a character has been approved, you should make a mod aware of the changes you have made to a character, by telling them in a pm and also making a note at the foot of your character's profile.

Then how did Kellogg get from San Francisco to the Commonwealth in Fallout 4? =/
Bah, it doesn't matter. I changed the backstory and made edits where needed without changing the character that much =) She is now born in the Capital Wasteland, as you've asked. I hope the edits are alright! I don't mind, really. I just wanted to make my character have knowledge of the NCR while still being able to Roleplay. But if that is impossible for now, I do not mind.
The rose in Lana's hair is plastic. I was hoping I could make this an in-character explanation, but I've written it into her history!
Don't worry! When I make an update, I will post an "update" and what was updated in this thread ^_^

That's the problem with have with Kellogg. We literally don't know jack about how he got over. It was a missed opportunity. However, we do know he's a hundred and eight years old during Fallout 4, so we can basically say "He had the time". It's not so much that it's impossible, just that it takes bloody forever and you really need to write the journey out properly, rather than skipping through it in less than a hundred words. But having her born in the CW is wholly better, so that's good.
I'd advise changing her outfit. Whilst a red dress would serve her incredibly well in settlements, she could do with an alternate outfit out in the waste. I mean what if she gets stung by a radscorpion or something? She'd have no resistance to it.

Alright. Edited it a little again to state what she wears when outside settlements! ... I even gave a picture! :D I'm sorry for all the problems this character has caused. By this point, I'm just looking forward to Roleplay x3

Well, after finding out what happened to Rivet City from HuniepopDawg ThreeDawg, I've given this ANOTHER update to make Lana even more simple. Now she is a simple, cheerful scavenger! What a downgrade =C ... At least she's happy.

Looks good to me, I did read through this last night but I was too tired to approve. I forgot to come back to it earlier, but hey you're approved now. Dawg or someone can come along and do their own thing now.
