Octavia D'Angelo
Character Name: Octavia D'Angelo
Nickname(s): Octy
Race: Altmer, High Elf.
Sex: Female.
Age: 37
Birthplace: Anvil, Cyrodiil.
Height: 6'5
Weight: Octavia does not weigh that much.
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Jet black
Hair Style: Long and straight
Skin Color: Slightly tanned
Build: Octavia is slender, healthy and.. somewhat curvy. She is healthy and of an athletic build. Her strongest part of her body is her feet, being able to kick well and run quite a distance, having more power in speed than strength.
Distinguishing Features: One side of her face is burnt, not seriously, but enough to be more red than the other side of the face.
Profession: Octavia is a mercenary, though prides herself in being a scholar on travel.
Skills: Octy's two primary skills work together wonderfully. Due to her training in Hammerfell, Octavia is well trained in the uses of a Scimitar and the art of acrobatics alongside it.
Magic: Despite being an Altmer, Octy has had little interest in Magic ever since her lessons with Magic at the College of Winterhold. She became an Apprentice in Alteration and Restoration.
Training: Octavia was trained in apprentice in Magic (see above) at the College of Winterhold. She was taught a lot about Tamriel and Oblivion's history, cultures and geography as a Scholar travelling around Cyrodiil for a few years, reading in The Arcanaeum in the College of Winterhold and the tales she heard in Hammerfell. She is constantly learning new things as she travels.
Other Abilities: Walking long distances. Octavia is not only good at hiking, but certainly good at making camps during long journeys.
Apparel: Octavia wears leather armour alongside a leather jacket. Her most notable article of clothing is her long red scarf.
Weaponry: A Scimitar ("curved blade"), a one-handed weapon. She doesn't use a shield, relying on speed when using this weapon.
Other Equipment: Octy doesn't like to carry much with her when travelling aside from a single bag for clothing changes, food and a bedroll. She also carries a waterskin for drink.
Companions: Octavia hopes to become someone else's companion...but she doesn't see herself a leader type.
Affiliation: Octavia is not yet affiliated with any faction. She was once a part of the College of Winterhold and agrees with neutral factions. It could be argued she is more lenient towards the Empire, having grown up in Empire lands.
Religious Belief: She follows the Eight Divines. She mainly worships Julianos and Mara.
Sexual Preference: Octavia simply doesn't know yet.
Relationship Status: She has never been in love. Single.
Personality: Octavia is a neutral person. She enjoys the company of others, but to a specific taste... big warriors she avoids, devoted Mages she avoids, priests she most certainly avoids and bards she avoids- yet she likes all of these occupations. While travelling alone most of the time as a personal choice, Octy would like to one day find someone she can travel with.
She is lawful neutral- she doesn't like Daedric Gods and certainly has no likeliness for the Night Mother...she respects Imperial law and order and finds The Imperial Empire the best choice for Tamriel, having grown up in Cyrodiil.

History:
Octavia D'Angelo was born in Anvil on the most western part of Cyrodiil on the Gold Coast. Her father was a Bosmer hunter for the Fighters Guild, her mother an Altmer Mage for the Synod. She grew up in much hated comfort and read many books as a child, constantly told that when she would come of age, she would travel to a place where she could learn almost anything.
Her parents supported this, mainly because her mother was passionate about Magick and her father wanting the best for his daughter. When she came to age, she traveled the Gold Road with her father (past Kvatch and Skingrad) until she made it to the Imperial City to study. But to vain, all she found was a bookstore and the Arcane University who wouldn't let her in, not out of rudeness but simply because they do not teach magic anymore.
She and her father sat and pondered on how to further educate her from books... where they found out about the College of Winterhold through a rumor and suggestion.
She and her father traveled North until they reached Bruma, where Octavia had to continue alone, her father stating he had been away from home for too long. After he paid for her to travel to Whiterun in Skyrim, he left to return to Anvil. Octavia was, for the first time in her life, alone.
Skyrim was a strange land to the Cyrodiilic Altmer, it's strange Nordic customs and coldness. When she arrived at Whiterun, she instantly paid for transport to Winterhold- but certainly not before buying some clothing in Whiterun.
The road was long and weary, but when Octavia arrived at Winterhold, she joined without hesitation. It was here she learnt the basics of Magick, as her mother would've wanted her, in the schools of restoration and alteration.
Sadly, her studies didn't go that well... she was always distracted by The Arcanaeum, a giant library inside the College itself. After developing a slow relationship with the librarian, she read most of the books in the library for a large part of her life, learning about Gods, cultures, factions and- most importantly to Octavia herself- history.
After failing to learn Magick as an advanced level due to her mind being set on scholarship, she was inspired through tales and books of epic heroes to find a swordsman or swordswoman to teach her how to fight. And thus, Octavia left the College of Winterhold after many devoted years of study for Hammerfell, where she had hoped to find a master to teach her.
The journey to Hammerfell was possibly the hardest part of Octy's life. Through endless mountains, ice cold plains, avoiding Forsworn in The Reach, the massive journey through High Rock, only to be sent around High Rock due to inability to travel the giant mountains, she found herself reaching Hammerfell after almost a year of travel. It was only in Dragonstar that Octavia found Redguard warriors, Breton's training and people from all over the Empire flocking here....Octy knew she found the right place.
Octavia exchanged her knowledge for gold as the locals would take interest and used this gold to pay a Scimitar-wielder to train her privately. She spent many years of her life here, in Dragonstar, learning how to fight. It was only a few years after she started her training, through trail and error, that she beat her master that she knew she had completed what she had gone there to do. When he could teach her no more, she left Dragonstar with a smile.
It was actually here that Octavia had her face half burnt, despite it not being that bad of an injury than it looks, Octavia took it as a major development in her life. There was a boastful Breton in Dragonstar one day that disturbed her night and, much unlike Octavia's normal passive attitude, she got agitated by his constant boasts. She challenged him to a duel, Scimitar on Magick.
The Breton wasn't as good as he had boasted (as per the norm of milkdrinkers), but he did manage to hit a fireball spell on Octy's face which enraged her. The Breton did not die- but he did have severe deep cuts and didn't leave Dragonstar's tavern for a long time.
Octavia has spent a few years of her life, travelling, seeking a greater purpose for her life. She has considered going home, back to Anvil, but fears her failure to learn Magick to an advanced level at the College of Winterhold will be to the negativity of her parents. She simply wonders from place to place, seeing the beauty of the world.
