Glancing at all of the Character Creation forums, I've noticed that there are a lot of unfinished [WIP] characters in all of them. Some forums have some that have been in there for months, with no sign that they will be finished ever. As such, they're kind of just sitting there, cluttering up the board.
I personally do no see any reason to post unfinished character bios on the board. Characters should only be submitted when they are completely and ready to be looked at for approval by the staff. Instead, we have several just sitting there while we wait days or weeks for the author to get around to finishing them, which some never get around to.

I wholeheartedly agree =) If you suddenly become busy during the proesses of making a bio, either leave it in a tab ready to finish for later or copy and paste it into a Google Document: www.google.com/docs/about/Or maybe a Word Document, whatever takes your fancy ;D Forums often get clogged up with unfinished W.I.P and the memory fills up if the W.I.P's aren't deleted. It becomes a very serious problem for website owners who fall victim to this.

Typically we clean our bios that have remained WIP for over a month, throw them in the graveyard if the user isn't finishing them up. But I like WIPs, I myself use WIPs. I don't get a lot of time on site (as you probably know) and most of what I do is done from my phone (like I am now). So having WIPs allows me to part work on characters through the proboards app. Not everybody has all the time in the world for these things

There's only such a seemingly large backlog because we've been busy near enough non-stop between October->Now.
None of us have spare time anymore to do basic chores like that, at least not yet.
We can hardly get around to approving SUBMITTED characters, let alone cleaning up old ones and chasing up loose ends.

I too see absolutely no reason to ban WIPs whatsoever. Sometimes it's good to save yourself some time in regards to formatting to just post a WIP than have the code cluttering up a word document or a google doc. Whilst you yourself don't necessarily agree with it, that doesn't mean it should be banned. We're also not nearly populated enough to start worrying about memory usage, so that's fine too. Besides some people come and go for months on end, it'd be nice if they have a WIP to have something to come back to, if they so choose. Not to mention, posting a WIP will also allow someone to show a mod what they intend to do with a character, place or faction, without needing to put the entire time in it, in the case that the mods will have to refuse an idea.

Another moderator coming in to just say that while you guys might not be able to appreciate it, WIP's help us -tremendously-. They allow us to nip something in the bud and to help people out with a project along the way, and it allows people to post a character in progress, and go on break without much stress.
People can always come back and pick up their WIPs, and as people have historically ducked out of here only to return sometime later, picking up their old characters and re-vamping them, I'd say it's a system that works.

If memory isn't a problem then I can understand that ^_^ And coding... I didn't really think that was much of an issue :C Sorry.

Oh man Wake, I can't begin to explain how many random bloody bugs I've found in coding on this site. Hell, I have a WIP that you can't see that, if I couldn't preview it on site, I literally wouldn't be able to see what I'm writing, 'cause there's so much code there. It's really useful, trust me.
