I've been playing Fallout for quite a while, and I've found that there have been things which I loved, and things that I... thought could be done a lot better. Ergo, the creation of this idea: Sunset on the Shade Tree (which I will refer to as Project Theta throughout the thread). --
Imagine the world before the bombs in Fallout with a little (a lot) more development in the times before the bombardment. More inventions, more urbanization, larger cities, more impressive buildings, crazier creations and concepts, and lively history. This is what Project Theta aspires to provide; instead of basic skyscrapers, why not skycrapers that twirl around, or it starts to lean a little sideways near the middle before sweeping upright again? Why not guns that shoot bullets full of acid that decays flesh in seconds? This kind of insanity and creativity is what I want in something that I'm playing a role in.
If this gets off the ground with people, I plan on making multiple sessions--only one at a time, mind you. Each session would have a set of new characters as well as a new setting, and new things would be provided as more sessions started.

Characters usually will have to have something to do with the setting; for example, if the initial starting point was going to be in a vault, there can be no "Uncle Duck from Albuquerque came to visit his little sweetie pie in Vault 69": NO. NO. Don't do that.
With the CS, I'm going to just recycle good resources and tweak Zelus's CS for The Vigil--which I will post in a separate reply.
