General News
As we roll into the 3rd week of the Nexus Weekly News, it's become apparent that there isn't quite as much information that needs to be detailed as you might like. Where that's concerned, have no worries. As time moves on, we'll implement more sections and updates, which will hopefully keep things interesting.
Onto this weeks news, one major thing we wanted to mention this week is the upcoming change about tagging threads. As more and more deviation comes to our standard threads, and we try to make things much easier for everyone in the future, we'll be making a change to the ruleset in regards to this tagging. While we'll have to give this a trial run to see if it works out, you can expect a proper list of all the proper tags to use, and what they're for, as we try implementing this change. Hopefully having these tags will make things easier for everyone, especially when looking for a thread to join.
Fallout
Last week, we talked about the up and coming change to the Robotic Overviews, but at the moment we're taking a halt on that front. As you all may or may not have heard, we've got DLC's coming soon, and the first up is to have a major focus on robots. There's talk of robobrains being included, with heavuly modifiable robots and a recurring character from Fallout 3. Since it's coming out this month, and may bring some interesting changes, we're going to hold off on finalizing a new guide and work on something less likely to require an immediate change.
Instead, we're going to be working on finishing the overhaul to the Active Fallout Factions. As you know we have a lot of factions that came with Fallout 4, and as such we'll be looking to add all of these with their full information wikia links. In keeping with the theme, we'll be renaming this to the 'VDSG Catalog - Active Factions', so keep your eyes open for the change.
The Elder Scrolls
As Dawg mentioned last week, while we have some new information to add, we'll be holding off on this until we've got Fallout fully in hand.
Halo
Nothing to note here at the moment.
Star Wars
With the new ship submissions coming through, and repeated questions about newer models - ships and weapons - we recognize the need for another guide. While we have a form for ship submission, this doesn't quite fulfill the role of making something new or bringing something into the current Star Wars year. While we're still just in the idea phase, hopefully we can bring in a better way to handle this in the future.
Also worth noting is that we're still at work on the military guide we spoke of last week. With gaps in information as can be seen, it can be difficult to track down what precisely fills a certain role, or what may occur after a faction such as the New Republic is in true and open war. Progress is being made though, so by the time the galaxy is well and truly in open war we'll hopefully have this done for your usage.
- Immortal, signing off.
