mainly i dont see africa suffering as much as most of the world since it lacks nuclear power and id asume noone would waste nukes on them so id asume that africa would be iradatied but not as iradiated and would be survivable and i could so someone with technology trying to take it over as the new world superpower i could also see south america getiing a few nukes and thats it so there would be a more survivable terrian as well i always wondered where the birds all went and there being no skeletons just a few ravens and im thinking birds went south and south east this year
and with that thought many of the almost extint animals may have regained some of there numbers in these two places and im thinking of haveing a faction made that tries to take south america or something reply with ur thoughts after reading this

Well. Radiation isn't just from nukes. After a global nuclear exchange, the entire world is irradiated, especially the water table. A lot of Africa or South America wouldn't be nuked, your right, but the Fallout would get in and the land would be effecting. So much rain water, irradiated rain water, lands on much of those continent (or sub-continents for the s-americas. And those places would be massively mutated. As for the rest, I'm not sure but I think Nuclear Winter would affect them too, affecting the wildlife there one way or another.
You imagine trying to survive the savannah, if there are massive droughts/the water comes down frozen and poisonous. Or the plants died from lack of sun. If your an elephant.

its odvois radation would be everywhere but the radation wouldent be nearly as high as the rest of the world and would be able to recover quicker with this in mind sat some superpower tried to take africa and its troops wheent undergroup when the nukes fell also not as many people would become ghouls or major mutation right out and the locols would be able to deal whith this small meduim mutationsas time whent on if theey had help from any technolegecall group(like said invaders who would go underground) they would be able to build a new civilization over time and like all civilizations need materials weapons and other things they can find or make possibly turning them into conquerers like caesars legion
