Crew: The Arbiter utilizes a crew of 120, slightly less than the crew of most Raiders, due to the complete removal of one cargo bay, the reduced size of the other cargo bay and the fact that the remaining cargo bay mostly houses long-term supplies like rations, weapons, munitions and other supplies.
Service Record
The Arbiter, once known as The Onslaught, was manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards in 0 BBY to combat the growing Rebel threat and their dependence on starfighter tactics. It served in various battles between 0 BBY and 10 ABY, when it was eventually mothballed and placed in an Imperial Reserve Fleet, where it saw little to no action over the next six plus years. Somewhere between 16 ABY and 20 ABY, The Onslaught was selected to be the compliment ship to the elite Stormtrooper group known as Scalpel Squad, which was in development during this time, its members currently undergoing various training regimens. The ship was modified to be able to house a Mu 2-Class Shuttle and function with a slightly smaller crew.
Command of the ship and its TIE Defender compliment were given to Helrund Cander, a Senior Captain in the Imperial Navy. Though Helrund was accustomed to being in charge of slightly larger forces, usually including a capital ship and light cruisers. Nonetheless, he quickly accepted reassignment to The Arbiter and took command of the Corvette and Scythe Squadron.
Since it was redeployed, The Arbiter has not really seen much action. Most of its job consists of acting as an armed transport for Scalpel Squad. Though the ship rarely sees combat, it can surely hold its own. It does occasionally have to engage pirates, other small flight groups or single ships.
