So, I want to do a Zombie RP, and I don't feel like creating a whole elaborate plot. Character profiles are short. Just give me 2-3 sentences for Bio, 2-3 for Personality, some sort of rough sketch or picture for appearance, and I guess equipment if you desire.
PLOT: The year is 2017, and the North America has been overrun by an infectious disease that turns the dead into zombies. Everything north of the Panama Canal is considered a quarantine zone, stretching all the way to the arctic. Some pockets of civilization remain, but they are mostly closed off and do not allow ANY newcomers whatsoever to safeguard against the virus spreading. The Panama Canal has been setup as a border, and anyone that comes near to the edge of the Canal from the North American side is immediately gunned down to prevent spread.
There is a 5 year quarantine on continent, as that is how long scientists have predicted that it will take for all the zombies to rot away. Air supplies are occasionally dropped to the few pockets of civilization remaining, and occasionally to groups of stragglers who are seen surviving. There are also nomads, groups of stranglers who have banded together and go from town to town scavenging.
The outbreak started in August of 2015, and it is now February 2017. There are three and a half years of quarantine left, but a majority of the horde has rotted away or died off.
ZOMBIE MECHANICS: The zombies cannot run, their rotting flesh and ligaments do not allow them to. Zombies do rot away, they do not magically survive the atmosphere. Animals cannot be turned, and zombies take no interest in them. Therefore, the deer population has boomed, along with hogs, bears, wolves, and coyotes. If it is cold, zombies move slower. If it's extremely cold, they can freeze. If it's hot, they bake away.
DISEASE MECHANICS: Once bitten, you will die and turn into a zombie within 3 days. If you cut off that limb in 30 minutes or less, you will survive. HOWEVER, remember, this is an apocalypse. There are no hospitals, and you will literally have to chop it off with a machete and try to survive. It's fairly traumatic.
Infrastructure: Some places have electricity still, some have running water, but it's probably best to not drink it. Natural gas has been shutoff to prevent explosions. Gas stations: Some still have gas that is good, some do not. Diesel is still fine.
