He is never fully rested as he is always on the run, never staying in one location because he knows if he does it will only be a while until someone comes trying to claim one of the many bounties on his head. Because he is always hunted, he barely ever steps into a settlement and whenever he does he stays there for as short a time as possible. Doesn’t care much for other people’s opinions of himself as most think he’s a murderer. When made angry he can easily lose his temper until whatever has made him angry has been dealt with. Will always try to make sure that no one deals with the pain of losing a loved one, though normally he is unaware of such things as he barely ever talks to people.
History: Joined the NCR army as soon as he could, did his family proud, they were all in some way part of the government in the NCR. His mother was the receptionist of President Peterson, his father was Head of the department of transportation. It was quite boring to Adrian and hated the idea of spending his life behind a desk doing paperwork. Probably one of the reasons he joined the army. Adrian passed with flying colours at basic training, managed to become a sergeant, of course at this time there wasn't much action but that would all change soon.
At this time the majority of conflicts the NCR military had was with either tribes, or raiders, and after three years in service, Adrian's battalion was moved to the edge of NCR territory, though not in the Mojave yet, at this point NCR are just entering it and don't yet have much interest in it, or at least they don't seem to do, despite having family in the government Adrian barely knew or cared about the government, of course it could just be that his lack of caring meant that he never listened when his parents talked about it. Adrian's battalion was placed on the southern fringes of NCR territory, in Baja. On the way there the battalion was split up due to storms in the area, that's when Adrian's group was attacked by a raider party that must have been so high they didn't know they were taking on NCR soldiers. The chems did more good than bad for the raiders since they didn't seem to care whether they got shot or if others fell, they just kept coming, and eventually a grenade by one of them which managed to wipe out most of Adrian’s group, other than himself, and five other guys, but two of them had been captured by the raiders and been taken off to had god knows what done to them. As the highest ranking solider left, he ordered a search and rescue for them. The raiders were easy enough to track, they were leaving blood trails in the sand. At least Adrian hoped it was the raiders leaving them. After a few hours of walking the three found their hideout, and managed to get the captured soldiers out without much trouble, other than getting shot in the arm. When he met up with the rest of his battalion, the men told the captain everything that happened, and by the years end, Adrian had become an NCR ranger.
Not much happened in the few years that followed. Adrian became a better and better ranger and that was about it. Other than Grace. Grace was a field medic, and a damn good one in Adrian's opinion. As a ranger he was put in many dangerous circumstances, and although he did get through, a lot of the time he did receive injuries so he would see her quite often. By this stage his tour of duty had been over at least twice, but he stayed on, the first time it was out of a sense of duty, and he did quite like it in the army, but come the third time, there was another reason. She was the other reason. Eventually they both realised how they felt about each other, and when the time came for Adrian to go on leave, by a happy coincidence it was also time for her. So they both went back home west to the core region. At this stage, Peterson had been replaced Kimball, as for his parents, they still had the same jobs. But one night, while he had been out for a week with Grace, when he came back home, he discovered the bodies of his father and mother brutally murdered. And that's when the soldiers flooded his house.
At first, Adrian thought that he would be safe, there was no evidence at all for the court to find him guilty. However they had plenty of evidence, time, motive, weapon, even witnesses. He was framed, and was given life in prison for second degree murder of two government officials. Prison was tough, but he had what they didn't, NCR ranger training. That’s what Adrian hated the most. At the rate he was going he could have become a veteran ranger by year’s end. After spending almost 10 years in jail he was transferred to the NCR Correctional facility in the Mojave wasteland. He had been able to keep in contact with Grace over his life in prison, and she believed him about him being framed and said she would get to the bottom of it.
Life in the prison wasn't too bad, he met a former sheriff who made decent company. Throughout his life in prison he met people who probably shouldn't be there, perfectly decent people who ran on hard times who had no choice. People with no money who had to steal to feed their families, people who thought that if they just did this one thing for a crime family they would be left alone. Perfectly decent people who had no choice. Soon enough the prisoners had enough and rose up against the guards, it was to almost everyone's surprise when they succeeded. The first thing Adrian did was volunteer to go on a raiding party with a group of some of the worst inmates, serial killers who killed for the thrill of it, horrible people. When they were about to attack a caravan he quickly shot them, and the caravanner were so grateful they gave him a shotgun and a free lift back to the NCR. Obviously they didn't realise he was a prisoner at the time, they didn't even really know the prisoners had escaped, best they didn't know until he got back to NCR.
He managed to meet up with Grace when he got back, and she found out who framed him. A man who was jealous of Adrian's father for some reason, the job perhaps, it explained why he was now so high up in the government. Adrian didn’t care much for why he did it, he was too filled with rage. So then one night he left to the man’s house and killed him in his sleep, unfortunately his wife waked up and saw Adrian’s face, and he knew he would have to leave immediately. He went back to Grace as fast as he could but on his way a man stopped him. A large man who called Adrian by name and gave him a letter. The letter said that the man Adrian had killed earlier tonight knew he was here, and he would teach him a lesson if he ever tried to kill him. Since he was already dead he wasn’t sure what that would entail, but when he got back, there she was, on the floor, dead, in a puddle of her own blood.
About a week afterwards as he was about to enter the Mojave he heard in the news that Grace's death was blamed on him. Not long after travelling in the Mojave did he learn the full consequences of what he had done. Bounty hunter, after bounty hunter, after bounty hunter came after him. All from different firms, some offering larger pay, but all wanting him dead, or at least that's what the bounty posters all said. Soon after, he made a decision, he would travel as far east as he could, it was the only possible way to avoid the bounty hunters. And after all he had been through, he just wanted to settle down in a decent place and live the rest of his life in peace.
