Name: Danielle Benson
Race: Android
Gender: Female
Age: Has the Personality and Appearance of 22 year old.
Profession: Conscious android/wanderer (AKA a robot who doesn't have a job)
Appearance: She looks and talks like any other human (think Harkness from Fallout 3), but she's not. Nonetheless, she has long brunette hair, green eyes, and is Caucasian. As for clothing, she merely wears a tank top and jeans and boots. She also has an old necklace that is shaped like a heart at her robotic breast. Despite not being human, her professional aesthetic build makes her actually quite beautiful.
Height: 5'' 11'
Weight: Though she looks around 150 lbs, she's actually 190 lbs.
Equipment: None. She has no weapons or food (since she doesn't need the latter). She also has no real training to fight. However, thanks to her being a robot, she is able to punch harder than most humans, easily able to fracture a skull in one blow, break it completely with another.
Personality: Danielle is cheery and optimistic, though this was not her original nature when she became conscious. This is the result of her reprogramming while going through the Railroad to escape the Commonwealth. Her programming can sometimes err in balance, causing social awkwardness when she is inappropriately optimistic and happy (hypothetical example, telling everyone that tomorrow will be better even after raiders stole all the food and killed half the town).
History: Like most androids in existence, she hails from the mysterious Institute in the Commonwealth. She was just another "droid" working as a slave for the Institute. She had been the Commonwealth for a long time, and, over long periods of taking in information with her sophisticated processors, she slowly began to form a consciousness. Eventually, she learned that she was living a life as a slave. She began to hear from stories, from the near by Synth Retention Bureau, of "malfunctioning robots" who had fled after discovering "self-determination". Very much intrigued by these stories, the Android (not yet named) was able to escape from her imprisonment and searched for these other robots. After many weeks of scouring (the Bureau hadn't tracked her yet, fortunately) she eventually found a couple working with Railroad.
The couple the Bensons, found her a scientist (think Pinkerton) to change her appearance and voice so that the Synth Retention Bureau wouldn't recognize her. However, they knew the Bureau could arrive at any moment and the reconstruction needed a reference. The husband of the couple used a photo of his deceased daughter, Danielle, in a desperate attempt to cover the escaped robot's tail. He even had an old holotape of the young woman's recorded voice as a sample. The android then became a "reborn" Danielle Benson and some of her memories were implanted into the robot's processors so that she would know everything that the deceased woman would. The Bureau eventually did show up, following their missing androids tail and demanded that the Bensons tell them whatever they might know. Fortunately, the Benson couple were just common wastelanders and the Bureau had no knowledge of their history. The android was passed off as the couple's dead daughter and the Bureau let them be.
The Android, now feeling that she had a home, was then told to leave by the couple. They didn't mean harm, but they couldn't stand the robot's new form, for while she looked like their daughter and sounded like her and even acted like her in ways...they knew the truth. "Danielle" then felt miserable on a few accounts. She feel into depression that she wasn't human and that she wasn't wanted by the people that she now had fond memories of (and that the memories were practically lies, since they weren't genuinely hers). To overcome this, before she left, "Danielle" asked to visit the scientist one more time, this time asking for a more simple procedure: a boost in happiness and optimism to clear away her current, bleak world. The scientist obliged and, when all was done, suddenly a world of new opportunities seemed to open up. Instead of feeling sad of leaving and having nowhere to go, "Danielle" suddenly thought it was a new chapter in her life to fill out as she pleased. With this new outlook, Danielle Benson set out into the wasteland, not even afraid of the things that lurked out there. She is still aware that she is not human, but carefully avoids telling anyone that...nor do they have any clues to it (except for her eccentricities).
