History
Not much is known about the "man" called Krager. Very few have had the courage to ask him, and the even less who are on his good side know better than to ask.
What is known is that he was a first generation Super Mutant, born from the Master's original army. After the Master fell, he wandered for many, many years. Eventually, he found his way to a colony of Super Mutants that had taken residence in a ramshackle community atop the Rocky Mountains near what was Flathead County. Away from the humans who took up residence within the confides of what was known as "Central Haven", Krager quickly became known as one of the lesser sociable members of the Super Mutant community. He did not speak, and when he did, he was threatening and unwelcoming to his brethren. He was more hostile towards second Generation Super Mutants (the ones some would call, Dum Dums). However, while unfriendly, Krager was not completely uncooperative in assisting around the community, though he tended to take charge whenever he did. And often did not react well to those who dared question him.
Two months after his arrival, Krager surprised his community by rescuing the largest building in the community that had been struck by lightning in a storm. This surprising heroic action caused severe burns all over his body, causing him to be appear blackish. But the act proved that, despite his behavior, Krager was a creature of devotion and would do anything to preserve something that he believed was worth fighting for.
A year after this event, two Super Mutants arrived at the community. With them, they brought a human woman. Originally, Krager, as well as the rest of the community, assumed they had captured the human and had brought her as a "gift" to enter the community (the Mutants had occasionally made attacks on Central Haven, but they were vastly outnumbered).
However, the woman was not their prisoner. Her name was Charmaine Quinn. She was a scientist from The Enclave. She made many claims that, through her research, she could improve the living conditions of the mutants, as well as some of their minds. Not many of the mutants believed this, chief among them was Krager. Krager believed the woman was from Central Haven and that she was determined to destroy them. However, Charmaine appealed to the two mutants she had brought, and doubled down on her claims. She offered to experiment on some of the Super Mutants to prove what she could do for them (such as increasing the mental capabilities of the Second Gens). The mutants agreed, prepared to kill her at the first sight of trouble.
Krager was among one of the ones experimented on. His intelligence as a First Gen remained intact, but he was mutated from a basic Super Mutant to a large Overlord. The other Super Mutants would become more intelligent and stronger as well, later forming the first Knights of the "to-be" SteelPlate Society. However, unbeknownst to Krager, Charmaine Quinn had tampered with Krager's mind, implanting unconscious conditioning to make him view her more favorably. The conditioning worked, and Krager, seeing his enhanced strength, changed tune about the woman entirely.
Many years later, Krager's conditioning has made him a very devoted follower of The Queen. She has united all of Flathead County under her rule, bringing forth one of the few examples of Super Mutant and human and Ghoul living together peacefully in the Wasteland. It is unknown if he has ever become aware of the conditioning that was implanted into him.
It is less known that he would even care anymore.
