Build: Angel has a healthy build of an average adult woman.
Distinguishing Features: One particularly noticeable feature, aside from her hair, is that she is actually fairly tall.
Profession: Scribe of the Wolves
Skills: Psyker - Dominantly telepathic, slightly telekenetic
Attributes:
- Strength: 2
- Perception: 7
- Endurance: 3
- Charisma: 6
- Intelligence: 6
- Agility: 8
- Luck: 6
Training: Angel was trained to use a pistol by her father at a young age, but anything over than that, when it comes to firearms, is beyond her. She can handle a knife (as well as any untrained civilian), too. Her main training comes from attempts to control her powers.
Other Abilities: Her psyker powers involve mostly telepathy, with some small telekenetic ablities. She can read minds and thoughts of other people she focuses on, experience what other people are experiencing, communicate with people with only her mind, and even influence people by subliminally feeding them her own thoughts or activating certain emotions within them (it is important to note she cannot directly control someone, just influence them). While her powers are potent, and she has a fair amount of control over them, this comes at a very heavy biological cost of lowering her brain's glucose levels that maintain her body's energy. As these levels go down, she enters a stage of "Ego Depletion" in which she loses the ability to control her powers in addition to becoming increasingly weary and physically weak. Foods that are high in sugar (Fancy Lad Cakes, Sugar Bombs, Nuka-Cola) can restore some lost energy, so she is often seen eating something. She can also lift light weight objects such as pencils and paper with her mind. Attempting to lift heavy objects cause stress on her brain and can render her unconscious almost immediately. Many mental activities, from things such as suppressing an emotion to reading minds drains her energy level, though most of them do so at varying levels.
She can also cook and sew pretty well too, thanks to her mother.
Apparel: Her mother being a homemaker allowed Angel to make her own clothing when she had the materials with the Wolves. Angel wears a lot of blue (her favorite color) and black. She wears a short sleeve white tunic, covered by a blue long sleeve, a blue skirt, black boots, and blue leggings. She has blue and white ribbons in her hair. Her attire is one of her eccentricities.
Weaponry: .45 Auto Pistol
Other Equipment: None
Affiliation: The Wolves (collaborated with MetaWolf for this)
Religious Belief: Agnostic
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Single
Karma: Neutral
Personality: Angel; though generally soft spoken, reserved, and sometimes shy, is very odd and eccentric. She accepts that her powers are unique, but nothing else about her, from her eyes, does she view as being particularly strange. One of her most prominent traits is the way that she eats, which is often like that of a depraved animal. She will often cram food (like an entire Fancy Lad Cake) into her mouth during a conversation and attempt to speak before swallowing it. This is because of her need to eat foods to keep her sugar levels high, to maintain control of her powers. Because of the energy her powers consume, Angel tends to sleep incredibly long (thirteen hours or more), and has no defined sleep schedule, often sleeping whenever she wants. Though she can control them (when her energy isn't drained, at least), Angel has very strong emotions, which are sometimes amplified by her mind and felt by others (an aspect of her powers that she is less conscious of). She will become intensely embarrassed (often at small, trivial accidents against someone), cry heavily if insulted or generally sad, fidgety and shaking when scared or anxious, throwing things and yelling when angry, and nothing but smiles and active when happy. There are also some general inconsistencies with her behavior. Though she can get very embarrassed when something trivial like bumping into someone, spewing crumbs into someone's face while eating and speaking doesn't seem to bother her.
Her moral code also suffers some blurs. In general, she has no problem reading the minds of anyone she meets, having little respect for privacy at times. Also, sometimes, when she gets bored, she sometimes, in addition to eavesdropping on their thoughts, will sometimes mess with people by either making feeding them strange thoughts or bizarre cravings or desires. The only people she doesn't do this to are Darwin and Alpha.

Angel Bentworth was born in the Core Region in an isolated cabin that managed to survive the war. For her, and her mom and dad, life could be worse. Their home was nothing impressive, and they had very little caps, but they managed to get by on the land itself, relying on Mr. Bentworth's survival prowess. He often hunted the creatures of the Wasteland (particularly favoring Mirelurks or wild Brahmin or Big Horners) to feed his daughter and wife, who was a homemaker from a Vault. The Bentworth Family lived alone, but their cabin went undisturbed by Raiders, and most of the creatures that found them were little threat (though the family once had to lay low quietly for two days after spotting a Death Claw wandering around). Having been educated in a Vault, where she had done some teaching, Angel's mother was her primary source of an education, which was pretty good all things considering, since her mother had a few textbooks. Life remained steady until one day when she was sixteen.
A group of strange men in high powered suits of armor suddenly descended on their home. The men said that they were members of the Enclave, which was with the United States Government, and that they needed to family to come with them. Angel and her mother, aware of what the American Government had been, were eager to go, believing the men when they said that that the Enclave had need for the Bentworths in their mission to restore America. Angel's father, however, was less trusting, and tried to get more information out of the Officer in charge of the Enclave squad. As things got heated, Angel and her mother were escorted away. That was the last time Angel saw her father, and shortly after arriving at a dark, technology lined halls of an Enclave base, she was separated from her mother, whom she never saw again either. She believes both of them are dead, her father having been shot, and lord only knowing what became of her mother.
Angel, as well as some other captured Wastelanders, were to be used as test experiments for the purpose of enhancing the Enclave personnel and citizens to make them more capable of dealing with the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel, whom they were at war with. One group of scientists wanted to see if they could enhance the intelligence of a human being to reach unforeseen levels, so they could apply this to themselves and their fellow researchers. The idea was simple: smarter scientists, more innovation, more inventions, more progress. Having seen the Forced Evolutionary Virus's ability to make a person smarter, they decided to use it in one experiment to see if it could truly make some more intelligent. Fifteen subjects were used, and, after being instructed to take an I.Q test (for which, they were told, would be their ticket to freedom), a small quantity of FEV was injected into their brains, specifically, the lateral section of the Prefrontal Cortex, a major contributor to conscious executive function and processing implicated in intelligence research.
Some of the subjects died almost immediately. Some of them went into a convulsions, and died later. Some went batshit insane and had to be put down. Two of the fifteen subjects however, one of them being Angel, managed to survive the injection and showed signs of what was hypothesized as a major "rewiring" of the brain. Angel's brain seemed to be faring a bit better than the other subject, the theory for this was that her younger brain was more plastic and adjustable than the more older man. The two subjects were kept under watch to make sure they didn't die for a few days, while they stayed in a coma. Angel regain consciousness first, and the scientists eagerly conducted the next part of the experiment: gauging her intelligence. A scan revealed that her Prefrontal Cortex had significantly stronger connections to other regions of her brain.
The results came in as a failure. Angel was deemed only slightly smarter than before. Irritated at this failure, Angel was tossed into a cell, and was going to be kept to compared to the other man when he woke up, to see what difference in their brain activity were. But they never got the chance. The next day, a Brotherhood team stormed the base and drove out the Enclave. They liberated the Wastelanders as well, those that had managed to survive. But, naturally, they were not very concerned for their fate. They gave some of the Wastelanders a gun and essentially shooed them on their way. Angel was given a .45 Auto Pistol. The young girl looked for her family, but could not find them. Devastated, she wanted to cry, but her father had always warned that others, particularly raiders, took that as a sign of weakness. She attempted to get ahold of herself...
...and she succeeded. Her horrible sadness and grief were driven out of her mind easily.
Surprised by this, Angel headed East, not really sure where she was going.
For the next many years, Angel wandered alone. It didn't take too long, though, for her to realize that something was different about herself. The first indication came from her constantly getting tired and feeling weak. She often dug around ruins and even old trash to find something to eat. She found that Nuka-Cola and Sugar Bombs, which she had for breakfast one morning, were particularly restoring. Fancy Lad Cakes, something she loved, also seemed to make her feel better in ways other foods didn't. This hadn't been something that had happened in previous years before her time with the Enclave. But it wasn't until another experience that she really discovered something particularly amazing about herself.
During her wandering, she came across a Prospector and his shack. The less-than-moral man invited her to come inside and buy something, for he had acquired some food, and she looked mighty hungry. Indeed hungry, Angel agreed. As they were walking towards the shack, suddenly the man said something. Angel asked him to repeat himself, but the man looked at her, confused. As he gave her an odd look, he continued to speak...without his mouth moving. At that time, Angel became aware that she could only hear him in her head when he did that. And, at the same time, she knew that she was hearing his thoughts. Amazed...and a little bewildered, Angel kept following, wondering how much she could hear. When she did, she found out that the Prospector intended to rape her. As his hand reached the door handle of his shack, Angel Bentworth raised her pistol and shot him in the head. Searching the inside of his shack, she found that he really hadn't been lying about the food he had acquired. Stealing one of his bags, she loaded it up with the supplies, and continued on. Over the years, she would wander to place to place. She found that she could hear the thoughts of others, control her own thoughts like never before, and even communicate with others entirely by thought. This had happened with one child she had spoken to only with their minds. The young boy tried to tell his parents of this amazing thing. He wasn't believed. But her new abilities were not always controllable. She found that using them often left her tired and weak, and less able to control the thoughts that bombarded her mind from other people.
Though the experiment had not made her smarter, a sudden thirst for knowledge came to her. She began reading random books from the Old World, whenever she could find one that was legible. Some books she read entirely, some she threw away within ten minutes. One book in particular had something that answered a lot of questions for her. It was a psychology book that explained a theory of "willpower", which was the essence of self control. The theory was that "willpower" had a physical basis in the brain as glucose levels. When these levels were drained, people had less control over themselves. Ingesting sugar seemed to restore their "willpower". The next time Angel became tired from her powers, she ate a lot of Sugar Bombs, and found that it restored her "willpower" quite well, allowing her to regain control over her powers.
But, as it came to be, Angel's knowledge hunt eventually found satisfaction with history. She read history books whenever she found one, but also tried to discover the history of every one she met and every place she visited (which annoyed some people greatly). This also led to her reading people's minds without concern for their privacy.
Eventually, her journey would bring her to North Carolina. It was that she would come across some old military bases from before the war, though she didn't know that that was what they were. To her, they were merely a place to avoid the elements. She stayed in one for a few days, eating food from the cafeteria, when suddenly a group of people appeared in the base, wearing leather armor and camouflaged raider attire. Not being able to find a good hiding spot before they came to her location, she turned to her powers in hopes of finding something in their minds that would save her. And she did.
The minute the Wolves found her, the first thing she said was "Take me to Darwin and Alpha." She then began to speak the names of the Wolves before them, and something she knew about each of them, hoping to psych them out enough to either scare them off or make it so they wouldn't shoot her.
The Wolves, intrigued by this strange girl, did indeed lead her to Darwin and Alpha. The first thing she said to Darwin was "I know the Enclave". She would tell him of their experiments on her and how it affected her. This entire dialogue was done non-verbally, through each of their minds only. Seeing potential use for the girl and her powers, he let her have a new home with the Wolves in their Capital of Manteo. Because of her love of history, she has become a Scribe for the Wolves, detailing their every action and move and decision. She keeps these records in her home.
To this day, Angel Bentworth remains with the Wolves. Compared to some of the other people in Manteo, she is more civilized, not really one for the vice of the raiders. She is commonly viewed as a being of supernatural powers among the Wolves, Darwin being the only one who realizes that her abilities are actually because of a virus. This view of her as supernatural, as well as her position as a Scribe, are both reasons partial reasons for how she designed her current apparel.
