The Spartans emissary returns to Daxos. The feeling in Sparta is mixed as well. The prospect of friendship with Carthage was to be celebrated.... the emissary is sent back to Carthage with the promise that if Magna Graacia is allowed to go to Sparta, Sparta will honour that Cisalplina is Carthaginian clay and will guarantee Carthage that region. Should any nation attack it, Sparta will assist Carthage in its recapture.

After claiming Celtica for the Senate and Rome, Lanius does not miss a beat! The ambitious Legate marches his Legion into Aquitania, swiftly forcing the barbarians there to yield (-4000). Lanius does something new...
Wooden crosses are erected across Aquitania, and the Aquitanian Barbarians are -nailed- to the crosses. They don't' die from bleeding, but starvation and thirst kill the barbarians. Eyes widen in Senate, and more questions are raised regarding Lanius' true loyalties, and if he truly represents the virtues of their Republic. This move also results in new developments for Roman Politics...another civilization is encountered.
The Parthians.
Lanius wastes no time in securing the Parthians, demanding a trade agreement, NAP, and the right for Roman soldiers to garrison themselves in Parthia. (Defensive Alliance).

[dice=6] When news of the Romans' actions in Aquitania reaches Tarraco, the Partians are horrified. Timgiratee himself rides North to see the Roman horrors. It's clear they are not a force to be trifled with. The King of Kings meets with Lanius, and considers his offer, his eyes locked to the "secured" Partians in the corner. He then smiles, raises his hand, and vows to acquiesce to Rome's terms after two seasons to "get the house in order". He immediately orders his runner to return to the Army and sweep the rest of Cartaginensis and Olisipo, claiming it for the Partian empire. A vase of finest Iberian wine is presented to Lanius, as a gift to the hero of Rome.[rand=641719770850613710345613351091743698510128073394348162085353396833]

Receiving further coin from his father, Tesbix pushes the army forward. He claims both Koria and Octudron for the confederacy. (-2000)[rand=92845501564443112407277361489832479896317725069826734445907641202]

Daxos, after recovering from his last battle, rides far north to claim Antheia, which he vows will become a great city one day (wink wink nudge nudge.) To celebrate his victory Daxos orders that Pella be constructed into a medium city (-5000) He then proclaims himself King and enacts strict martial law to keep any chance of competition at bay. After hearing of far atrocities in the far western reaches of the world Daxos is ready to make sure none can challange him.

((Immortal's mistake (probably my bad too), -2000 from Phazania's last turn, for Roma this turn. Leaves 500 in Phazania this turn. Also, Immortal, you've got Jay's province "Silesia" listed as "Phazania" in the money breakdown.))
The Carthaginian forces in Africa under the command of Hamilcar take Alexandria in Aegyptus (-2000). The fighting is slow and the Egyptians put up fierce resistence. Their armies were clearly planning for invasion, having seen the fall of Libya not long before.
In Italia the forces under Hasdrubal take Arminium (Free Territory) from the Estruscans without much trouble, the Free City having seen the easy fall of the Estruscan city of Roma they simply place down their arms at the massive army approaching.
From there, the armies march north and north west, splitting in two to strike quickly at the unsuspecting Barbarians of Cisalpina. Patavium (-2000) falls first, quickly and suddenly. Genua (-2000) falls next, no word manages to reach the Ligurians of the fall of the Veneti before Carthaginian armies trample their armies into dust. For the first time, Elephants are seen on the Alps. Carthage has come and not long after word spreads amongst the Barbarian clans of the Alps and their surrounding countries of giant beasts ridden by men, raining spear and arrow upon the heads of many while the beasts crush all in their path.
To the Iceni:
The Carthaginians allow the word to spread before they send out their diplomats. They send a party to the Iceni, ambassadors asking for trade with the northern peoples, offering valuable Ivory, Gold and Silver in exchange for the Irons, Timber and Bronze of the North. They claim their trade links to the Parthians of Iberia and their expansion into the East towards the Silk Road will benefit the Iceni even greater.
To the Romans:
Hasdrubal heard of the exploits of these Romans, the attrocities they performed on the nearby Tribes. He claims them little more than "Evil Beasts" in his report to the Hundred and Four and the general word running around the Carthaginian camps is that the Roman Legions are demons in disguise, who if left unchecked will tear the world asunder. However they send a Diplomat to the Romans, asking for them to relinquish all claim upon Cisalpina. It and all south of it are Carthaginian Lands, all north of the Alps are to the Romans as they please.
To the Parthians:
Another Emissary is sent by boat to the Parthians. He presents an offer, the Carthaginians would like a Defensive Alliance to maintain the mutual safety of Carthaginian and Parthian lands against "Those whom wish to harm us.", claiming their long-standing trading and Non-Aggression Pact as a sign of their powerful friendship.Should this alliance prove standing they will also offer the territory of Karalis to the Parthians if the Parthians take the province of Provincia. To create a new trade road and continue friendship between the two close nations.[rand=0862098633822725423645600854636462614682467013746349997026367813124]

A debate rages amongst the Hundred and Four as to who shall receive the province of Magna Graecia, or even if the Carthaginians would benefit from such an alliance. A consensus is achieved that the Hundred and Four shall make their decision by the end of the next season or the one after, once the Carthaginians have settled into their place in the Northern Mediterranean. A runner is dispatched to the Spartan emissary with this news, along with it a gentle urge that the Spartans should claim the province of Illyria quickly to facilitate trade with the Carthaginians.

The Parthians send a fleet out into the Mediterranean towards the island known as Salamis, a fine trading post and island embassy to the empires of the East.
