Born in Rivet City to parents who ditched her, Victoria was named and adopted by a female couple who resided in Rivet City. She was somewhat of a quiet child, and once being taught to read and write, she spent almost all of her time reading. She read whatever she could get her hands on, which was mainly books to do with science and medicine. She only found one or two novels, much to her disappointment. When Victoria was 12, she noticed she couldn't see nearly as far as others and asked her "mothers" about it. They went through several pairs of glasses before finding a pair that worked for Victoria, costing them quite a few caps.
In her teenage years, Victoria started working in Doctor Li's lab as an assistant. She put all the theory she knew about science to work, contributing quite a bit too Li's work. She learnt a lot while working in the lab, from how to repair a weapon to how to purify water. Although she was only a lab assistant, she felt more like a scientist. Although she only had a few friends, Victoria was happy. Her best friend was a girl named Kirra, they spent a lot of time together although they were very different people. Kirra was a shy, clumsy kind of girl who wasn't the brightest. Not dumb, just... not smart. Victoria taught her a thing or two with computers, as she could barely use one. Victoria didn't really want a boyfriend, and if she did want a partner she'd prefer a women. Her parents influenced her to be somewhat Bi-Sexual, although leaning towards women more than anything.
When she was 14, she started helping in the Rivet City clinic aswell as the lab. Doctor Preston, Rivet City's only real doctor, helped Victoria put the theory she knew about medicine to good use. She helped a lot of people, and became fantastic at treating wounds and radiation in general.
When she reached age 15, several other scientists in the lab, along with a few strangers, started work on something called "Project purity", although she didn't know the specifics. She would of been left alone in the lab, so it was closed for the time being. She started to do field work, aswell as working in the clinic more, to occupy her for the time being.
She bought a laser pistol from from "Flak and Shrapnel's" gunshop, and went out to collect samples every second day. She never went far from Rivet City, but still trained with her pistol constantly just in-case. She eventually found a switch-blade and decided to keep it, which worked as a make-shift scalpel several times anyway. Although she was too poor to afford an environmental suit, she got by.
She did this for a few weeks, never really hearing from Doctor Li or any of the others. She asked around, but it was mainly rumours. She eventually just accepted the loss, and requested that the Rivet City council acquire more scientists somehow. They agreed, and started looking for volunteers or people they could hire. They found several scientists, but the most noteworthy one was a man named Horace Pinkerton. Victoria didn't know much about him, but the council certainly did. Apparently, he was once on the council, but was replaced by Doctor Li. He left Rivet City and lived... somewhere else, although no-one was sure where. He returned, seeking to take his position back. The council was extremely skeptical at first, but eventually let him return. Victoria had to tell him all she knew about the project in it's current state, as she did with the other scientists. Pinkerton proved to be an amazing scientist, and taught Victoria more than she could ever dream.
She continued working in the lab and the clinic for another 2 years, aged 17, before finally being offered a proper job at the lab rather than being a lab assistant. With both Doctor Li's and Pinkerton's teachings, Victoria became a fantastic scientist. She also managed to become a great doctor, with the help of Doctor Preston.
3 years later, aged 20, Victoria was sent to Megaton to buy supplies for the lab, as they had a shortage and none of the traders in Rivet City had what they needed. She was about halfway there when she was attacked by Raiders. She was knocked out, and left for dead. A travelling caravan found her a few minutes after the raiders left, heavily wounded. They rushed her to Megaton, where she was luckily saved by Doctor Church, the town doctor. She stayed in Megaton for a few weeks while she recovered, and the caravan was nice enough to give a stimpack or two up to help replace Victoria's medical supply. They were heading down to Rivet City anyway, so they agreed to let her tag along for security. They found a few small things here on the way that they let Victoria keep, as they would of been hard to sell anyway. Upon arriving at Rivet City, the lab was disappointed that they couldn't get the supplies needed but glad that Victoria was okay, buying most of the supplies they needed from the caravan anyway. Once Victoria grabbed some more caps from her room in Rivet City, Flak and Shrapnel were nice enough to give her a discount on another laser pistol, leaving her with enough money to get a (mostly broken) environmental suit from the caravan before they left. She managed to fix it up after a few weeks, although it was makeshift at best. She now resides in Rivet City, balancing between clinic, field and lab work.
EDIT 4/2/14: Added new picture. Not sure If I need to do this for something like that, but just in-case.
